The victim discovered gunshot holes in the hood of his vehicle. The responding Officers canvassed the area and found several bullet casings. No one was injured in this incident. (SFPD Case No. 170080883)

Robbery – 23rd St/Dakota St – 02/02/17, 07:43 pm

The 18 year old victim responded to a Craigslist ad to purchase an iPhone. The victim corresponded with the “seller” and made arrangements to meet up. The victim met the “seller” at the corner of 23rd St and Dakota St where the “seller” punched the victim 3 times in the face, stole his money, and fled in a waiting car. This case is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 170094066)

Robbery – 1100 Fitzgerald Ave – 02/03/17, 02:50 pm

The 20 year old victim was approached by the suspect and asked “where are you from”? The suspect then told the victim to “come out of his pockets” and began to punch the victim in the face 6-7 times knocking him to the ground. While the victim was on ground, a second suspect went through the victims pockets, stole his iPhone and wallet, and both suspects fled in a car. Officers responded to the scene, canvassed the area and located the suspects. The suspects were arrested and charged for the robbery and assault. (SFPD Case No. 170096454)

Officers responded to a call for shots fired. Upon arrival, the Officers searched the area for victims, suspects, witnesses, and video surveillance with negative results, however, the Officers did find several unfired and unfired bullets. This case in under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 170094737)

Three suspects entered the Walgreen’s store, stole $2,000 worth of cosmetics, and ran out of the store. This case is possibly related to a citywide crime spree with the same m/o where the suspects have been arrested. (SFPD Case No. 170096062)

Robbery Arrest – Oakdale Ave/Newhall St – 01/25/17, 01:00 pm

The 56 year old victim was walking down the street when the suspect came up from behind and punched the victim in the head seven times, knocking the victim to the ground. During the attack, the suspect stole the victim’s cellphone and hat. The suspect fled eastbound on Oakdale Ave. About 15 minutes later, an Officer responded to the area of Newhall St. and McKinnon Ave. for a report of a suspect harassing people. The suspect was detained and after investigation (witness ID), it was determined that the suspect was the same suspect who robbed the victim. The suspect was placed under arrest and transported to county jail. The victim’s property was returned to her. (SFPD Case No. 170068760)

Aggravated Assault – Ingerson Ave/Ingalls St – 01/25/17, 06:15 pm

The 30 year old victim was walking down the street when he was approached from behind by the suspect who stabbed the victim in the neck with a knife and ran westbound towards 3rd St. The responding Officers called for ambulance and took the victims statement. The victim was transported to SFGH for treatment. Officers searched the area for the suspect, witnesses, and video surveillance. This case is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 170069774)

Weapon Possession, Prohibited Person – Dakota St/25th St – 01/25/17, 07:11 pm

Officers responded to a security alarm activation when they observed the suspect wearing dark clothing fleeing the scene on a motorcycle. Officers activated their sirens and pulled the suspect over. A records search revealed that the motorcycles registration was expired and that the suspect was on active probation with a search condition. Upon searching the suspect, a firearm and narcotics were found. The suspect was arrested for possession of a weapon by a prohibited person and narcotics charges.  (SFPD Case No. 170069978)

Robbery – 1100 block of Fitzgerald Ave – 01/26/17, 03:58 am

The 40 year old victim was walking down the street when she was approached from behind by the suspect. The suspect grabbed the victim’s hair and attempted to take her cellphone. During the struggle, the suspect cut the victims arm with an unknown object, and fled northbound on Hawes St. towards Fitzgerald Ave. This case is still under investigation. The 51-year old victim was walking home when she noticed the suspect following her. The suspect grabbed the victim’s purse from behind. As the victim struggled with the suspect over the purse, the suspect pushed the victim to the ground, took the purse, and fled on westbound on Oakdale Ave. The responding Officers canvased the area for the suspect and witnesses with negative results. This case is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 170038876)

Robbery – 400 block of Bayshore Blvd – 01/16/17, 01:27 pm

Officers were dispatched to a purse snatching at Lowe’s Home Improvement. The 57-year old victim was walking in front of the store when the suspect came from behind, pushed the victim to the ground, grabbed the victim’s purse, and fled in an unknown direction. The responding Officers searched the area for the suspect with negative results. An ambulance was called and the victim was treated for minor injuries. This case is under investigation. Robbery – 1100 block of Palou Ave – 01/16/17, 02:10 pm

While on patrol, Officers met with the 29-year old victim regarding a robbery. The victim was walking down the street when he saw the suspect exit the rear of a vehicle and approach him. As the suspect approached the victim, the suspect told the victim to drop everything. A struggle ensued, the suspect grabbed the victims cellphone, and ran East on Palou Ave toward the waiting car occupied by two other suspects. During the initial investigation, the robbery vehicle was seen on video surveillance entering, and later exiting, the Alice Griffith Housing Project. While exiting the store, the suspect was asked by store security for a receipt to show proof of purchase for the items the suspect had in her possession. The suspect refused and walked away. The store security guard did not try to restrain the suspect. This case is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 170042479)

Robbery w/Gun– 1200 block of Hawes St – 01/16/17, 09:15 pm

The two victims were loading their property into their parked car when they were approached by the suspect. As the suspect approached, he pulled out a silver handgun and instructed a second and third suspect to take the victims property.  All three suspects ran westbound on Palou Ave from Hawes St. This case is under investigation. A store employee turned in an unfired bullet that was found inside the store where they work. The unfired bullet was booked into property at Bayview Station. (SFPD Case No. 170049340)

Aggravated Assault – 3700 block of 3rd St – 01/18/17, 01:25 pm

While pumping gas at the gas station, the victim was sprayed with pepper spray by the suspect after the suspect accused the victim of “looking at her boyfriend”. Medics treated the victim for her injuries. This case is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 170048245)

While riding on board the MUNI coach, the suspect grabbed the victim’s bag and ran off the bus near Oakdale Ave and 3rd St. This case is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 170049992)

Robbery Arrest – Silver Ave/San Bruno Ave – 01/19/17, 03:00 am

The victim was sitting at the bus stop when the suspect approached the victim, took the victim’s wallet from his right front pocket, and fled southbound on Silver Ave. The victim called 911 and dispatch broadcast the suspect description. Officers arrived in the area looking for the suspect and located him. The suspect was drunk and did not remember why he had the victim’s wallet in his possession. The suspect was arrested and booked on robbery charges. (SFPD Case No. 170049958)

Firearm Discharge – Whitfield Ct/La Salle Ave – 01/21/17, 09:42 am

Officers responded to a shotspotter activation. Upon arrival, Officers interviewed a witness who stated that he saw a white 4dr sedan, with 2 occupants, driving eastbound on La Salle Ave towards Osceola when the passenger leaned out of the window and began shooting in the direction of Whitfield Ct. The witness heard at least six shots. Officers canvassed the area looking for victims, witnesses, and property damage to no avail. Officers located nine spent bullets. The spent bullets were booked into evidence at Bayview Station. (SFPD Case No. 170056317)

Firearm Discharge – 1100 block of Fitzgerald Ave – 01/21/17, 08:47 pm

Officers responded to a shotspotter activation. Upon arrival, Officers detained and interviewed three suspects in the area where the shotspotter activation occurred. The area was searched for any victims, witnesses, additional suspects, or property damage to no avail. Five spent bullet casings were found near where the suspects where contacted by the Officers. The spent bullet casings were booked into evidence at Bayview Station. The three suspects were interviewed and released. (SFPD Case No. 170057989)

While conducting a traffic stop, Officers heard what appeared to be gun shots being fired from the building behind them. Dispatch alerted the Officers that there was a shotspotter activation in the area. Officers responded to the area where the gunshots were heard and searched for suspects, witnesses, damaged property, and evidence with negative results. (SFPD Case No. 170058244)

The 53 year old victim was walking down the street when she was approached by the suspect from behind. The suspect pulled the victims bag away from her, ran inside a waiting 4dr white sedan, and drove off. This case is still under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 170027158)

Aggravated Assault – 1700 block of Silver Ave – 01/11/17, 09:05 am

The 67 year old victim was playing basketball at Silver Terrace when he was approached by three juvenile suspects. One of the suspects asked the victim if “you like to fight?” The victim said that he did not want to fight and the suspects proceeded to strike the victim multiple times in the face. As the suspects fled the scene, one of them stole the victim’s jacket. This case is still under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 170027722)

Firearm Possession – Marin St/Illinois St – 01/11/17, 6:58 pm

While on patrol, Officers witnessed a known felon with a Federal warrant standing near a parked vehicle. The Officers made contact with the suspect and took him into custody without incident. Upon searching the suspects backpack, the Officers found a loaded handgun and illegal narcotics. The narcotics and handgun were booked at Bayview Station and the Suspect was charged for firearm and narcotics charges and his outstanding warrant. (SFPD Case No. 170029530)

The two victims were walking down the street when they were approached by two suspects from behind. One suspect pulled out a knife, punched one victim in the face, and stole her phone, while the other suspect pulled out a gun, punched the second victim in the face, and robbed the second victim of his backpack. The suspects fled eastbound on Bacon St towards Girard Ave. This case is still under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 170029950)

The 25 year old victim was working at the gas station when the two suspects approached the counter and asked to use the air pump. When the victim informed the suspects that use of the air pump was for customers only, the two suspects attacked the victim spraying him with pepper spray and fled in their vehicle southbound on 3rd St. This case is still under investigation. Officers respond to a shotspotter activation with seven shots fired. Upon arrival, Officers discovered 7 bullet casings. Officers on scene searched the area for bullet holes, damage, victims, and suspects with negative results. This case is still under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 170000110)

Armed Robbery – Gillette Ave/Lathrop Ave – 01/02/17, 2:53 pm

The 18 and 22 year old victims were sitting in a parked car when they were approached by the suspect. The suspect pointed a gun at the victims and said “I’ll shoot you if you move”. The suspect proceeded to pistol whipped one of the victims, robbed the victims of their belongings, and fled the scene in a vehicle. The victims called 911 and providing a description of both the suspect and suspect vehicle. Responding Officers searched the area and located the suspect vehicle. The passengers were detained and the vehicle was searched where Officers found some of the stolen items. The passengers were detained and brought back to Bayview Station for further investigation. Firearm Arrest – 1500 block of Custer Ave – 01/02/17, 08:46 pm

Officers responded to the 1500 block of Custer Ave regarding a stolen RV. Officers knocked on the door and made contact with the two suspects. The suspects were removed from the vehicle and detained while the vehicle was searched. The search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of a gun and drugs.  Both suspects were arrested for firearm and drug charges, and for possession of a stolen vehicle. (SFPD Case No. 170005251)

Firearm Arrest – 100 block of Kiska Ave – 01/03/17, 01:48 pm

Officers received information that a wanted suspect was driving a vehicle in possession of a firearm. While driving in the area of Kiska Rd and Dormitory Rd, Officers located and stopped the suspect vehicle. Officers conducted a parole search and located a gun. The suspect was arrested for possession of firearm by a prohibited person and the firearm was booked at Bayview Station. (SFPD Case No. 170006403)

Aggravated Assault w/Gun – 1900 block of Oakdale Ave – 01/04/17, 06:23 pm

The 24 year old victim was pistol whipped by the suspect in the face numerous times. The victim fled to a neighbor’s house to call 911. Upon arrival, Officers responded to scene and called for an ambulance for the victim. The victim provided a statement and was transported to the hospital for treatment. Officers went to the address of the incident, arrested the suspect, and seized the firearm. The suspect was arrested for numerous charges. (SFPD Case No. 170010307)

A citizen approached Officers on the street and told the Officers that he found numerous unfired bullets at his job site. Officers took possession of the bullets and booked them for safekeeping at Bayview Station.

Robbery w/Kinfe – 1000 block of Potrero Ave – 01/05/17, 11:20 pm

The 22 year old victim was walking down the street when he was approached by two suspects. One of the suspects told the victim “Give me your money” and punched him in the face. A second suspect punched the victim in the back of the head, grabbed him, and stabbed him in the arm twice. The second suspect stole the victims backpack. Both suspects fled on Revere St towards 3rd St. The victim was driven was driven to SFGH for treatment by a “Good Samaritan”. At the scene, a witness told Officers that they saw the suspect’s drop the knife. Officer located the knife, which was later seized as evidence and booked at Bayview Station. This case is still under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 170014274)

The 32 year old victim left her relatives residences and was walking down the street when approached from behind by the suspect who said to her “Give me all your stuff in your purse, I have a gun”. The victim gave the suspect her purse and the suspect ran to a waiting car and fled down 3rd St. This case is still under investigation.

The 55 year old victim was ridding the 44 Muni bus sitting in the front of the bus. The victim stated that there were 7-12 juveniles on the back of the bus playing loud music and the victim asked them to turn the music down. The suspect got into an argument with several of the juveniles.  The victim asked the Muni driver for help and to call the police but, according to the victim, the Muni driver did not help. The victim exited the bus and was followed by the group of juveniles. The group of juveniles surrounded the victim, pushed her to the ground and stole her wallet. The group of juveniles fled westbound on Silver Ave. The victim followed the group of juveniles and demanded that they give her the wallet back. The victim stated that one of the suspects placed her in a headlock, threw her to the ground, and spit on her face. A witness stated that two of the suspects fled to Palega recreation center. This case is still under investigation.

Robbery – Caire Terr. / Carolina – 12/08/16, 10:05 pm

Officers responded to a report of a robbery and located a 34 year old pizza delivery driver who had been assaulted. He explained that he had been in the process of delivering a pizza to a residence when he was met on the street by three suspects. One of the suspects punched him, causing him to drop the box he was holding. The victim ran away and the suspects chased him. He pulled out his cell phone which one of the suspects snatched away from him. The suspects then returned to the victim’s delivery vehicle, which they rummaged through, before fleeing on foot.  Armed Robbery – Rhode Island / 23rd – 12/09/16, 12:00 am

A 31 year old victim was walking in the area while holding his cell phone in his hand when he was approached by an armed suspect. The suspect pointed the gun at the victim and demanded his property. The victim handed over his cell phone which the suspect took and fled from the scene. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160998020)

Homicide – Quesada / 3rd – 12/09/16, 8:25 pm

Officers responded to a call of a shooting and located a 35 year old male victim inside of a car at the scene who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. He was He was transported to SFGH where he was pronounced deceased. The officers secured the crime scene, preserved all evidence, and obtained witness statements. Firearm Arrest – Unit block Hudson – 12/11/16, 01:51 pm

Officers drove past a vehicle and noticed the occupants smoking what appeared to be a marijuana cigarette. They approached the cart and confirmed their suspicion by smelling the substance and noticing a glass jar containing dried marijuana sitting on the center consul. The officers contacted the driver and his passenger. The driver immediately put the car in drive and took off. The officers ran back to their unit and gave chase and soon found the car abandoned at Hudson near Ardath. Both suspects were found walking from the scene and were detained. A search of the path that the suspects took after fleeing the car revealed a scale for weighing narcotics and a loaded .40 caliber pistol that had been ditched. Additional marijuana was found inside of the suspects’ car. Both suspects were arrested and charged with weapons and narcotics for sale violations.  (SFPD Case No. 161005218)

Robbery – 1600 block Bayshore – 12/11/16, 10:10 pm

A 34 year old victim was walking home when she was approached on the street by two suspects. One of them punched her on the side of her head, causing her to fall and hit the pavement with her face, as the other suspects yanked her purse away from her. Both suspects fled the scene. The officers found the victim bleeding from the mouth. She had suffered facial injuries as a result of the robbery and had lost a tooth, which the officers located on the sidewalk. The victim was treated at SFGH. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 161006294)

Aggravated Assault – Keith / Bancroft – 12/12/16, 11:00 am

Officers responded to a call of an altercation and met with two victims, a couple, ages 33 and 40. The female victim was bleeding from a cut to her cheek. She told the officers that she and her husband had been walking along the sidewalk when they were approached by two suspects who began to argue with them. One suspect had a knife and used it to cut the victim’s face while the other suspect brandished a handgun at the victim’s husband. Both suspects fled on foot.  Robbery – 800 block Wisconsin – 12/13/16, 10:50 pm

A 27 year old dog walker was heading to his car when three suspects approached him. One of the suspects asked the victim if the dog was for sale to which he replied that it was not and that he was just doing his job. One of the suspects then called him a smartass and kicked the victim on the leg brace which he had been wearing on his knee. One of the other suspects then punched the victim several times, causing him to fall. The suspects then removed the victim’s leg brace as well as him wallet from his pocket and fled the scene.  Carjacking Arrest – Oakdale / Ingalls – 12/14/16, 11:50 am

A victim had driven his car to the unit block of Navy Rd. to meet up with his girlfriend. He got out of his car to talk to her and on returning to the vehicle he was attacked by a suspect who punched him several times and told him to get away from the car. The suspect then entered the victim’s vehicle and drove from the scene. The responding officers spotted the stolen vehicle being driven by the suspect at 3rd and Cesar Chavez. They conducted a felony traffic stop on the car and placed the suspect under arrest. He was positively identified by the victim. The suspect was booked on auto theft charges at Bayview Station. Robbery, Firearm Arrest – Oakland – 12/14/16, 7:50 am

Investigating officers identified a suspect from a robbery and arrested him at his home in Oakland. The original incident occurred on the 200 block of Felton on October 27th at 7:30 pm. A 44 year old victim was entering a residence through a garage door when a suspect forcefully grabbed her purse and began yanking it from her. The suspect was seen running to a waiting vehicle which fled from the scene. The victim’s cell phone was in the purse which the officers were able to track to San Bruno and Racine. The phone was found in the middle of the road, discarded.

Through their investigation, the officers assigned the follow up were able to identify the suspect and obtained a search warrant for his home in Oakland. They responded to the residence served the warrant. Some of the property that had been stolen from the victim was found in the home along with a loaded .38 caliber revolver. The suspect was taken into custody and was booked on multiple charges stemming from the initial incident as well as the follow up investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160876476)

A 62 year old victim was walking home when a suspect approached her from behind and attempted to rip the bag that she had slung over her shoulder away from her. The victim attempted to hold on to the bag but the suspect punched her in the face, at which point she relinquished it. The suspect fled on foot. This incident is under investigation. Attempted Homicide w/Gun – 5200 block of 3rd St – 12/01/16, 4:50 pm

Officers responded to a call regarding shots fired. Upon arrival, Officers did not immediately locate the victim so they searched the area and were flagged down by the 34 year old victim who stated he had been shot in the leg. Paramedics were called to the scene and transported the victim to SFGH, who was later reported to be in stable condition. Officers went back to the original scene of the incident to secure the scene and interview witness. This case is still under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160977375)

While on patrol, Officers heard shots fired and the sound of a vehicle accelerating away from the scene. Multiple units arrived on the scene and located several spent cartridge casings and an unfired bullet. Offices secured the scene and discovered bullet holes in a residence and several parked vehicles. No victims were struck by bullets. This case is currently under investigation. The 18 year old victim exited the T-train and noticed she was being followed by the suspect. As the victim waited on the center island to cross the street, the suspect snatched money from the victims hand and snatched a necklace from the victim’s neck before pushing her to the ground. The 36 year old victim boarded the MUNI T-Line and took a seat. The victim observed the two suspects standing near the emergency exit. As the train stopped, while she was looking down at her phone, the victim felt a hand grab her neckless and ear buds. The victim looked up and saw the suspects run off the train and fled southbound on 3rd St. The victim was unharmed. (SFPD Case No. 160991682)
