Burglary Arrest– Illinois / Cesar Chavez – 10/9/16, 12:17 pm

Officers detained a suspect for casing vehicles and in the process of investigating him, recognized him from a surveillance video they had seen of a suspect involved in a burglary of a business on the 1500 block of Custer. The suspect was even wearing the same clothing that he was recorded with during the burglary. The suspect was placed under arrest and booked on burglary charges. (SFPD Case No. 160816488)

 Auto Theft, Narcotics Arrest–Crisp / Palou – 10/10/16, 2:00 pm

Officers on patrol spotted a subject seated in the driver’s seat of a double parked car who looked visibly nervous as he watched them drive past. A computer check revealed that the vehicle had been reported as stolen. The officers arrested the suspect without incident and found numerous items that they determined to have been stolen inside of the car. The suspect was booked on auto theft and possession of stolen property charged. (SFPD Case No. 160826192)

 Burglary Tools Arrest – Mendell / Newhall – 10/10/16, 6:40 pm

Officers stopped a car for a traffic violation after the driver attempted to flee from them by driving off and making evasive maneuvers in his car when they initially attempted to stop him. When he was finally detained, the officers determined that the driver was on active probation for theft related crimes with a search condition. They searched him and found a window punch (commonly used tool for the purpose of burglary) in his possession. The suspect was arrested and cited on evading and possession of burglary tools charges.  DUI, Narcotics Arrest –3rd / Shafter – 10/10/16, 7:45 am

Officers responded to a call of a subject passed out and slumped over the steering wheel of a vehicle. They located the car, running, in the middle of the eastbound lane on Shafter. The subject was roused and was found to be extremely intoxicated. He admitted to having been drinking and doing drugs. He failed all of the administered sobriety tests and was arrested. The officers found cocaine and heroin in his possession. He was booked on driving while under the influence of drugs and alcohol as well as narcotics charges.  (SFPD Case No. 160824936)

 Armed Robbery– 25th / Wisconsin – 10/8/16, 9:50 am

A 59 year old victim was walking in the area when a suspect approached him and knocked him to the ground. He produced a handgun which he held to the victim’s stomach as he ordered the victim to remove and relinquish all of his jewelry. The suspect then fled on foot with the victim’s rings and necklaces. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160819062)

 Firearm Arrest –unit block Hudson – 10/8/16, 1:00 am

Officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation and while en route, were notified that several witnesses saw the suspect shooting off a handgun. The officers located the subject that matched the description and detained him. The butt of the handgun was seen building from his waistband. He was arrested and the loaded .45 caliber pistol was recovered. The suspect, a parolee, was booked on numerous weapons related charges. (SFPD Case No. 160818296)

 Carjacking –Mansell / Le Grande – 10/8/16, 1:30 am

Officers met with a 26 year old victim who told them that he had been driving his car in the area when he hit a pothole. He stopped his car to inspect it for any possible damage when he became surrounded by 5 suspects. They ordered him to the ground and removed his valuables from his pockets. The suspects then got into his vehicle, which was running with the keys in the ignition, and drove from the scene. This incident is under investigation.  (SFPD Case No. 160818531)

 Narcotics Arrest –Donahue / Innes – 10/12/16, 8:00 am

Officers were flagged down by a MUNI coach operator regarding a belligerent passenger who had been ranting and raving and creating a mess on the bus. The suspect was on scene and was detained by the officers. He was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and was arrested. He was cited and released from the scene. (SFPD Case No. 160830892)

Firearm Arrest–Harbor / Northridge – 10/12/16, 11:00 pm

Officers stopped a car for a traffic violation and found the driver to appear extremely nervous on contact. His license was found to be suspended and he was removed from the vehicle as it was searched incident to being towed. The officers found a loaded .40 caliber pistol, marijuana, and scales inside the car as well as a spent shell casing. The suspect was booked on multiple charges involving weapons, narcotics, and traffic offenses. (SFPD Case No. 160833573)

 Narcotics Arrest –1700 block Quesada – 10/13/16, 3:00 pm

Officers were conducting an undercover narcotics “Buy-Bust” operation on the 1700 block of Quesada in response to numerous complaints of rampant narcotics related activity on the block. Officers had identified a local drug dealer who frequently sold marijuana on the block and had an undercover officer contact him to purchase some drugs mid block. The suspect promptly sold the undercover officer some marijuana after which he was equally as promptly arrested and booked on sales of narcotics charges. (SFPD Case No. 160835212)
