The San Francisco Police Commission continues to seek community input on the recruitment process for the next San Francisco Chief of Police.The community input survey will be available until Friday, September 16, 2016 at: http://www.ralphandersen.com/sfpc-survey/   The Commission encourages the public to participate in the process by taking the Community Input Survey.

Neighborhood associations, community and advocacy groups and other groups with an email list are encouraged to share the link with their members so they can participate in this process. Individual responses are anonymous and will be de-identified when reported. Robbery Arrest – LaSalle / Newhall – 9/12/16, 12:40 pm

Officers on patrol spotted a subject who had been identified as the suspect in a September 10th robbery and vandalism that occurred on the unit block of Topeka. He was arrested without incident and was booked on robbery, vandalism, and weapons charges.  (SFPD Case No. 160735888)

Attempted Homicide Arrest– unit block Cameron – 9/11/16, 8:30 pm

On September 3rd, a 50 year old victim was shot several times in his lower back. Officers were only a few blocks away and immediately responded to the scene where they rendered aid and had the victim transported to SFGH for treatment. They secured the scene and preserved all evidence which led to the investigation that ultimately identified a suspect. The suspect was arrested on September 11th after a surveillance operation revealed his whereabouts.  The suspect was booked on attempted murder and aggravated assault among other charges. Robbery Attempt– 23rd / 3rd – 9/10/16, 9:35 pm

A 22 year old victim was walking down the street when he was approached from behind by a suspect who grabbed the watch around the victim’s wrist. The victim reared and turned on the suspect, who retreated and fled. The victim then realized that the suspect had cut the palm of his hand with a sharp object. The victim was treated at SFGH for the laceration. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160736381)

 Aggravated Assault –1900 block DeHaro – 9/7/16, 5:40 pm

Officers responded to a call of an assault and met with the 36 year old victim who stated that he had been struck in the back of the head. The victim and his wife had been driving in their vehicle along Hwy 101 when they were cut off by another car at the Silver exit. When the victim pulled up to a store at San Bruno and Dwight and got out, the same vehicle that had cut them off pulled up and two suspects got out.  The suspects attacked the victim, rendering him unconscious for a short while. He was treated for his injuries by medics on scene. (SFPD Case No. 160734965)

 Shooting – 4800 block 3rd – 9/10/16, 1:15 pm

Officers responded to a call of a shooting and located a 16 year old victim, who had sustained a gunshot wound to his shin, inside a store in the area. Then victim was transported to SFGH where he was treated for his injuries. The officers secured the crime scene and preserved all evidence. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160735189)

Bayview Station holds community meetings with the Captain on the first Tuesday of each month.  The next Community meeting will be at 6PM on Tues, October 4th
