 Narcotics Arrest – Apollo / Williams – 9/3/16, 6:15 pm

Officers patrolling in the area spotted a suspect who they recognized from previous contacts and knew to have an outstanding no bail warrant for auto theft. The suspect was also in felony probation with a search condition. The suspect was arrested and searched. The officers located methamphetamine in his possession. He was booked on his warrants, probation violation, and narcotics related charges. (SFPD Case No. 160716195)

 Shooting– Hudson / Ingalls – 9/4/16, 1:50 am

Officers responded on a call of a shooting and located a 24 year old male victim, who had suffered a gunshot wound to his leg, on the sidewalk. The victim reported that he heard gunfire ring out as he was getting off a bus and immediately felt a sharp pain in his leg and realized he had been hit. The victim was transported to SFGH for treatment and the crime scene was secured and all evidence preserved. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160717002)

Auto Burglary Arrest – 1200 block Thomas – 9/04/16, 7:30 pm

A business owner contacted the police after remotely viewing a live feed from the security cameras at his commercial establishment which captured a suspect stealing cables. The officers arrived to find a hole in the fence of the yard of the establishment and the suspect still inside. He was placed under arrest and the owner surveyed the scene, reporting that the suspect had removed some solar panels that had been affixed to a work truck and took other items out of the vehicle. The suspect, already on probation for theft related offenses, was booked on burglary, possession of stolen property, and probation violation charges. (SFPD Case No. 160718862)

 Robbery – 4800 block 3rd – 9/5/16, 4:40 pm

A 23 year old victim was standing on the street in front of her home when an acquaintance of hers pulled up in a car. The suspect got out and approached the victim, punched her several times, and knocked her to the ground. The suspect then stole the victim’s cell phone and shoes before getting back into the vehicle which then drove from the scene. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160720936)

 Aggravated Assault –1900 block DeHaro – 9/7/16, 5:40 pm

Officers responded to a call of an assault and spoke with a 29 year old victim who told then that her brother had attacked and choked her after the two argued. The suspect was still inside the home and was taken into custody. He was booked on aggravated assault charges. The victim was treated at the scene for her injuries. (SFPD Case No. 160725287)

 Narcotics Arrest – Keith / Thomas – 9/7/16, 11:15 pm

Officers conducting a narcotics abatement operation in the area were in a position of concealment when they observed two subjects engage in a drug transaction on the corner. At the conclusion of the sale, the subjects separated and were both detained. The officers detained the pair and conducted a search, location crack cocaine and heroin. The suspects were cited for the narcotics offenses. (SFPD Case No. 160725936)

 Auto Theft Arrest – 3rd / Quesada – 9/7/16, 6:10 pm

Officers patrolling the area heard the sound of an engine revving and looked over to see a suspect without a helmet, on a dirt motorbike, approaching the intersection. The officers attempted to stop the subject at which point he tuned and popped a wheelie as he accelerated away from them. The officers did not pursue the motorbike in the interest of public safety but located the suspect gain a short time later. This time the bike was lying in the middle of the street and the suspect started to run from the officers. They gave chase, caught up to him and placed him under arrest. The motorbike was revealed to have been reported as stolen. The 17 year old suspect was cited for auto theft, possession of stolen property, along with numerous traffic violations and was released to a parent. (SFPD Case No. 160727302)

 Auto Burglary Arrest – 18th / Minnesota– 9/07/16, 10:10 pm

Officers responded to a call of an auto boost in progress where the suspect was seen rummaging through a parked vehicle after having broken a window on the car. The officers located the car and continued to search for the suspect who they found walking from the scene a block away. The suspect was positively identified and arrested. The officers found burglary tools in his possession. He was booked on auto burglary and possession of burglary tools charges. (SFPD Case No. 160727998)

 Robbery – 2100 block 23rd – 9/8/16, 1:00 am

A 37 year old victim was walking home when a suspect suddenly jumped out from behind a stairwell and grabbed her purse. The suspect yanked at the bag so hard that the victim fell to the ground before releasing it. The suspect fled on foot. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160728300)

 Armed Robbery – 2800 block 3rd – 9/8/16, 2:20 am

Two victims, ages 25 and 28, were at a service station and getting ready to leave in their car when a suspect approached the female passenger and asked for A dollar. When she refused, the suspect brandished a handgun at her and yanked her handbag away. The suspect then walked over to the driver’s side of the victim’s vehicle and robbed the male victim of his wrist watch. The suspect then fled the scene. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160728372)

Arson of Vehicle, Theft – 1200 block 19th – 9/8/16, 5:00 am

Officers responded to a call of a vehicle fire. They located the burnt vehicle along with its trailer that had been damaged in the fire as well. They made contact with the owner of the car who stated that two bicycles had been stolen from the vehicle. A witness told the officers that he had heard a noise outside and decided to have a look. He saw a suspect leaving the boosted vehicle while riding on one bike and pushing the other simultaneously. Other witnesses reported seeing the suspect light the fire. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160728504)

Stabbing –Armstrong / Ingalls – 9/8/16, 5:20 pm

A 53 year old victim was passing an acquaintance, who lives out of a car in the area, as she walked along the street. The suspect suddenly grabbed her backpack and dumped its contents onto the street. He then selected items to steal and left the area. The victim later walked located the suspect’s parked vehicle and attempted to get her items back. The suspect produced a knife and threatened to kill the victim as he slashed her on the chin. The victim, fearing for her life, fled the scene. The investigation into the identity of the suspect is ongoing with an arrest warrant pending. (SFPD Case No. 160730424)
