Aggravated Assault – 1500 block Palou – 8/23/16, 2:34 am

Officers responded to a call of an assault and met with the18 year old victim. He stated that he was assaulted by an acquaintance of his friend while visiting the friend’s home. The suspect, a female with whom that the victim was not familiar, began striking him for no known reason as soon as he walked into the residence. The victim fell at which point the suspect kicked him prior to fleeing the scene. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160680998)


 Robbery– Augusta / Bayshore – 8/26/16, 2:30 pm

A 41 year old victim agreed to meet an acquaintance who was supposed t return some of his property to him. The acquaintance showed and the victim took his items from her. As he did so he heard her making a phone call to an unknown person. Shortly after getting off the phone, two suspects showed up and threatened the victim for taking some items that did not belong to him. They left but returned shortly armed with some old golf clubs which they used to attack the victim. After striking him several times, the suspects took one of the victim’s suitcases and some other property before fleeing the scene. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160691951)


Stabbing – 1100 block Oakdale – 8/26/16, 9:15 pm

Officers responded to a call of an assault and located a 57 year old victim who had been stabbed in the arm. The victim was uncooperative with the officers that day and refused to provide any suspect description. He did state that that the suspect, who was armed with a knife, was acting crazy and that he was cut during an altercation with him. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160692965)


Armed Robbery – Oakdale / Phelps – 8/27/16, 12:13 am

A 31 year old victim had just parked his car and was still inside when two suspects walked up to his open driver’s window and asked for money. When the victim refused, one of the suspects pointed a gun at him and grabbed him by the throat. The victim, in fear for his life, took his wallet out of his pocket and handed it to the armed suspect. The suspect let go of his throat at which point the second suspect threw a liquid into the victim’s face that caused a burning sensation. The victim was treated at SFGH. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160693327)


 Hot Prowl Burglary Arrest – 1000 block LeConte – 8/27/16, 12:11 pm

Officers responded to a home on a call of a burglary in progress. They met with the victim who told them that on entering a bedroom in the home, she saw a suspect on the balcony attempting to get in through the bedroom window. The victim screamed and the suspect fled the scene. The officers searched the area and located a suspect who matched the description provided. He was positively identified by the victim and arrested. The suspect was booked on first degree burglary charges. (SFPD Case No. 160694400)


Robbery – 400 block Paul – 8/28/16, 6:30 pm

A teenage victim was walking home after getting off the bus when he noticed two suspects following him. The victim bent down to tie his shoe and allow the suspects to pass at which point one of them approached him and asked for the time. The victim looked at his iPhone to see what time it was at which point the suspect grabbed the phone and threw the victim to the ground. Both suspects then fled the scene. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160697993)


 Armed Robbery Arrest – 1100 block Oakdale – 8/30/16, 4:24 pm

Officers investigating an armed robbery that occurred on August 22nd at Palou and Crisp were reviewing surveillance footage from an area that had captured the suspect. The officers recognized the suspect from previous contacts. He was the current suspect in a series of Bayview robberies which included another August 22nd armed robbery that occurred on the 1100 block of Palou and a third armed robbery, involving the kidnapping of the victim, from the same block that occurred on August 17th. The suspect was on current probation with a search condition. The officers responded to the suspect’s home on the 1100 block of Oakdale where he was found and taken into custody. The residence was search and evidence of the crimes was collected. The suspect was booked on multiple armed robbery charges stemming from the three above mentioned incidents. Auto Strip Arrest – 1400 block McKinnon – 8/31/16, 2:16 pm

Officers patrolling in the area spotted a pair of suspects crouching near a parked car. One of the suspects was rummaging through a bag of tools while the other was prying a hubcap from the parked vehicle. The officers detained the pair and determined that the car did not belong to either of them. They were able to locate the owner of the vehicle who reported that the suspects were in fact stripping the car. Both suspects were arrested and found to be in possession heroin and drug use paraphernalia. They were cited for the vehicle strip, narcotics, and burglary tool possession violations. Firearm Arrest – 2600 block San Bruno– 9/01/16, 7:30 pm

Officers responded to the scene of a minor traffic accident where one of the drivers was attempting to flee the scene with a gun. On arrival, the officers found one of the drivers physically holding down the other. On separating the parties, the officers learned that the suspect that was being held down had produced a handgun and attempted to leave the scene. The other party was able to disarm him and physically restrain him until the officers arrived. The officers took custody of the suspect as well as the loaded .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol. On searching the suspect’s vehicle, the officers found an additional loaded .45 caliber handgun along with numerous holsters, a ski mask, a bullet proof vest, as well as a bag containing a security badge and credentials that did not belong to the suspect. The suspect, a convicted felon prohibited from possessing weapons, was booked on multiple weapons related charges with an ongoing investigation into the purpose and sources of the other items found in his car.  (SFPD Case No. 160710250)
