Robbery – 300 block Somerset – 8/13/16, 12:15 pm

A 75 year old victim was walking home when a car pulled up beside her and the passenger got out. The suspect walked up to her and snatched her handbag off her shoulder. He then got back into the vehicle that drove from the scene. This incident is under investigation (SFPD Case No. 160653456)


 Shooting – 700 block Kirkwood – 8/14/16, 1:15 am

Officers responded to a call of a shooting and located a 38 year old male victim who had suspected a gunshot wound to the leg. He was uncooperative with the police investigation that morning and was transported to SFGH for treatment. The officers gathered possible suspect descriptions from witness statements. They secured the scene and preserved all evidence. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160655098)


 Shooting – 200 block Loomis – 8/14/16, 4:45 am

A 24 year old victim and several of his friends got into a physical altercation with another group of subjects when one of the suspects pulled out a handgun and shot him in the abdomen. Everyone scattered and the victim had his girlfriend drive him to SFGH where he was treated for his gunshot wound. The officers were called to the hospital where they took the report and responded to the scene where they secured all evidence. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160655220)


 Robbery Arrest – 3rd / Quesada – 8/14/16, 4:20 pm

Officers responded to a call of an attempted robbery and met with the victim. He told the officers that he lost a cell phone somewhere on Thomas St. He called the phone and a subject answered it. He told him to meet him at 3rd and Quesada to return the phone. The victim drove to the location where he met the suspect, who was holding the cell phone in his hand. The suspect demanded money for the return of the phone. The victim took a ten dollar bill from his wallet and handed it to the suspect who took it and then demanded more money. The victim stated that he had no more at which the suspect produced a handgun and threatened the victim with it. The victim, in fear for his life, took more money out of his shirt pocket and handed it over. The suspect took the cash and ran off into a car. He then drove from the scene. The victim described the suspect and the car to the officers. The officers searched the area and located the suspect and vehicle a short time later on the 1800 block of 23rd. The suspect was positively identified and arrested. A replica firearm was found inside the car. The suspect was booked on multiple charges, including robbery. (SFPD Case No. 160656444)


 Shooting – 1900 block 25th – 8/15/16, 5:15 am

Officers responded to a call of a shooting and located a 35 year old female victim with gunshot wounds to her legs. She was transported to SFGH for treatment. The officers secured the crime scene, interviewed witnesses and preserved all evidence. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160657765)


 Recovered Firearm – 900 block Connecticut – 8/15/16, 6:35 pm

Officers patrolling in the area of the Potrero Hill Housing Development came upon a group of subjects loitering in the area. The suspects, on seeing the officers, immediately scattered. The officers searched the immediate area and located a box of ammunition hidden inside a nearby BBQ grill. They continued to search and found a loaded .33 caliber pistol hidden in an electrical box near the BBQ. They were able to located one of the suspects who they identified prior to releasing pending further investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160659614)


 Narcotics Arrest – 1500 block Galvez – 8/16/16, 8:18 am

Officers responded to a complaint of a subject sitting in someone’s doorway with hypodermic needles scattered around him. They located the suspect in the area described as well as narcotics paraphernalia in his possession. He was placed under arrest and searched. The officers recovered heroin from his pocket. He was booked on narcotics violations. (SFPD Case No. 160660928)


Firearm Arrest – Bancroft / Phelps – 8/16/16, 6:26 pm

Officers received a tip that a subject who was wanted on a weapons violation warrant was in the area of Bancroft and Phelps. The officers responded to the location and located the suspect in her vehicle. They placed her under arrest. A search of her person revealed a loaded 9mm pistol concealed in her boot. The suspect was booked on weapons charges along with her warrant.  (SFPD Case No. 160662491)


 Armed Robbery – 1100 block Palou – 8/17/16, 12:56 am

Two victims, ages 64 and 50, were walking home when a suspect approached them while brandishing a handgun. He ordered then to surrender their property and the victims handed over the jewelry that they had on as well as a sweater and a bag. The suspect fled on foot. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160663364)
