Recovered Firearm – Double Rock / Cameron– 7/29/16, 9:20 pm

Officers received a tip that a suspect who was in possession of a handgun was standing on Double Rock Court at the Alice Griffith Housing Development. The officers responded to the location and on arrival spotted a group of subjects mingling in the area. The officers attempted to detain the group but two subjects managed to run off. The officers gave chase and were able to catch up to one but not the other. A search of the route that the second suspect used to escape revealed a loaded .9mm pistol which had been ditched near a hill that the suspect descended before the officers lost sight of him. The weapon was recovered and an investigation into the suspect’s identity is ongoing. (SFPD Case No. 160612305)


 Narcotics Arrest – Van Dyke / Jennings – 7/30/16, 6:40 pm

Officers patrolling in the area had their attention drawn to two vehicles double parked next to each other in the street. The occupants had their doors open and were engaged in some type of activity. The officers, finding this suspicious as the area is known for high narcotics related activity, decided to investigate. As they drove closer, one of the vehicles took off. They were able to stop the car several blocks away and on contacting the driver, noticed a bag of suspected methamphetamine on the passenger seat. The officers arrested the suspect and searched his vehicle. They found additional individually packaged baggies of methamphetamine, cocaine base, heroin, and packaging material consistent with the sales of narcotics. The suspect was arrested and booked on multiple narcotics related charges. (SFPD Case No. 160614561)


 Aggravated Assault Arrest– unit block Garlington – 7/30/16, 8:15 pm

Officers responded to an assault with a toaster. They met with the 63 year old victim who told the officers that she had had an argument with her brother’s girlfriend (the suspect). The verbal disagreement turned physical when the suspect picked up the toaster from the kitchen counter and struck the victim on the head with it. The toaster was left visibly dented as a result of the impact. The suspect then threatened the victim further with a knife until a neighbor came in after hearing the altercation and separated the two. The officers found the suspect nearby and placed her under arrest. She was booked on aggravated assault charges. (SFPD Case No. 160614812)


 Stabbing Arrest– 100 block Dakota – 7/30/16, 9:20 pm

Officers responded to a call of an assault and met with the 24 year old victim who had suffered stab wounds to her leg. She explained that she had argued with the girlfriend of a relative. She stated that the suspect knocked on her door and was let in. She then started an argument with the victim which culminated with the suspect striking the victim in the face with a purse. The victim then struck the suspect, causing her to fall. The suspect then produced a knife and stabbed the victim in the leg several times before fleeing the scene. The officers were able to identify the suspect went in search for her. They found her nearby and placed her under arrest after she was positively identified. The suspect was booked on aggravated assault charges. (SFPD Case No. 160614931)


 Shooting – Quesada / 3rd – 7/30/16, 10:15 pm

Officers conducting an investigation in the area suddenly heard multiple shots ring out and the shattering of glass of a storefront window nearby. Several parked cars were hit as well. As the officers were maintaining the scene, other officers responded to SFGH where several gunshot victims had arrived for treatment. One of the victims was a 37 year old female who had been driving her car on 3rd when her rear windshield shattered and she realized she had been hit in the arm by a bullet. She drove herself to the hospital. A second victim, a 24 year old male who had suffered a gunshot wound to the leg, was driven to SFGH by a friend. Both victims were treated for their non life- threatening injuries and provided statements. The crime scene was secured and all evidence was preserved. This incident is under investigation.  Burglary Arrest – 1000 block Wisconsin – 7/31/16, 11:30 pm

Officers responded to a call of a burglary in progress where the suspects were seen leaving the burglarized location with all the stolen loot in a rolling dumpster. The officers searching the area spotted the subjects on the 900 block of Connecticut. Hey had a garbage bin that was labeled with the address of the burglarized building. The bin contained numerous electrical tools that had been stolen from the site. Both suspects were arrested and booked on burglary charges. (SFPD Case No. 160618002)


 Carjacking – 1000 block Palou – 7/31/16, 11:55 pm

A 63 year victim was in his parked car when two suspects approached him. One of the suspects opened the driver’s door and pointed a gun at the victim and pulled him out of the car. He went through the victims pockets, removing his wallet and cell phone. The two suspects then got into the victim’s vehicle which they drove from the scene. Officers later located the vehicle, abandoned, at Selby and Quesada.  (SFPD Case No. 160617872)


Armed Robbery Attempt – 3800 block 3rd – 8/1/16, 1:08 am

A 53 year old victim was getting money from an ATM when a white sedan pulled up beside him. Two suspects got out of the car. One of them brandished a gun at the victim and demanded his money. The suspect pistol whipped the victim who manages to get away and run across the street. The suspects fled in the vehicle. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160618018)


Robbery – Somerset / Felton – 8/1/16, 3:00 pm

A 39 year old victim was walking home when she was shoved to the ground from behind. Two suspects pulled off the back pack she had been wearing before fleeing north on Somerset. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160619759)


 Robbery – 1000 block Texas – 8/2/16, 4:00 am

A 41 year old taxi cab driver had picked up four subjects downtown and brought them to their destination. One of the suspects told the victim that he did not have money and would need to get it. The victim told him that he could not leave without paying at which point the suspect stated that he would leave his cell phone as a sign of good faith that he would return. The suspects got out of the cab and walked away. The victim waited for them to return with the fare. Two of the suspects did in fact return. One of them approached the victim and apologized before stunning the victim in the neck with a stun gun. He crawled out of the cab at which point the second suspect began to punch him in the face. The suspects then stole the victim’s personal property out of the cab before fleeing on foot. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160621425)


 Firearm Arrest – 400 block Girard – 8/2/16, 10:50 am

Officers responded to assist ATF officers (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms) who had two subjects detained. One of the subjects had pointed a firearm at the ATF Officers. The ATF Officers explained that they had been following the suspects’ vehicle when one of the suspects leaned out of the window and pointed a handgun at them. A traffic stop was enforced and both suspects were arrested. The officers located two loaded .22 caliber pistols from the car. Both suspects were booked multiple weapons violation charges.  (SFPD Case No. 160622069)
