Firearm Arrest – 900 block Connecticut – 7/26/16, 4:00 pm

Officers patrolling in the Potrero Hill Housing Development saw a subject who they recognized from previous contacts and knew to be on federal probation with a search condition. He was in an alcove in the middle of what appeared to be a drug transaction with another subjects. The officers approached to conduct an investigation and as soon as the suspect saw them, he muttered an expletive and immediately began to run up a staircase of the nearest building. He discarded items as he ran. The officers caught up to him and detained him. The items dropped by the suspects included bags containing narcotics and a loaded .45 caliber handgun. The suspect was booked on weapons, narcotics, and probation violation charges.  (SFPD Case No. 160602237)

 Robbery – Bacon / Bayshore – 7/27/16, 6:00 pm

A 38 year old victim was walking on the sidewalk when she was hit on the back of the head. She turned to see the suspect behind her. He grabbed the handbag which the victim had tucked under her arm and attempted to pull it away. When he could not get the bag, the suspect just reached his hand into it and removed the victim’s cell phone and money. The suspect then fled on foot. This incident is under investigation.  Robbery – 18th / San Bruno – 7/27/16, 7:10 pm

A 20 year old victim was walking when she passed a several suspects standing at the corner. As she passed, one of the suspects walked up to her and yanked her purse from her shoulder. He then ran to parked white sedan and got in. The other subjects also got into the car which then drove from the scene. This incident is under I investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160606110)

 Firearm Arrest – 300 block Folsom– 7/27/16, 9:00 pm

Officers received a tip that a subject wanted in connection with a crime in another jurisdiction was visiting her brother and was currently at his home in the Southern District. The suspect was known to the officers to be on Federal probation with a search condition for gun related offenses. They proceeded to the location she was said to be located and found her in front of the home, sitting in her car. She was taken into custody without incident. A loaded .45 caliber pistol was recovered from under the driver’s seat of her car. Her passenger was found to have an active no bail warrant for his arrest and was also taken into custody. Both suspects were booked on their respective charges at County Jail. (SFPD Case No. 160606546)

Robbery Attempt – 2800 block 3rd – 7/28/16, 4:45 am

Officers responded to a call of a robbery at a service station. They met with the cashier and another employee who told them that a suspect had walked into the convenience store and selected some candy. He attempted to walk out with it when one of the victims asked him to pay for it. The suspect punched the victim and pulled out a knife. He chased the employee around the store with the knife and threatened to stab him. At one point, the suspect dropped the candy to the floor and fled the scene. This incident is under investigation. Bayview Station holds community meetings with the Captain on the first Tuesday of each month. National Night Out (3rd/Armstrong) will take place of the August 2nd meeting
