 Robbery – Felton / Brussels – 7/17/16, 7:00 pm

Two victims, ages 56 and 35, were walking arm in arm when they were approached by two suspects. The suspects physically shoved the two victims apart, causing one to fall to the ground. One of the suspects then grabbed the purse held by the victim who was still standing and yanked it from her shoulder. Both suspect then fled on foot. This incident is under investigation.  Robbery – 200 block Girard– 7/18/16, 10:15 pm

A 47 year old victim was walking home and approached the front gate of her house. When she was searching for her keys, a suspect ran up behind her and shoved her. He then grabbed her purse and yanked it from her body. The suspect ran off and was seen getting into a waiting silver sedan which drove from the scene. This incident is under investigation.  Auto Theft Arrest– unit block Doublerock – 7/19/16, 7:50 pm

Officers patrolling the Alice Griffith Housing Development had their attention drawn to a vehicle that was backing along the street. A check of the license plate revealed that the car had been reported as stolen. The officers took custody of the driver without incident and booked him on auto theft charges.  Armed Robbery, Agg. Assault Arrest– Bayshore / Blanken– 7/20/16, 11:00 am

A 48 year old victim was driving in his car when traffic came to a stop to two vehicles blocking both lanes ahead of the victim. The occupants of the two vehicles appeared to be talking to each other. Cards behind the victim began honking and he joined in as well. At the sound, the driver of one of the suspect vehicles got out of his car holding what appeared to be a handgun. He walked up to the victim’s vehicle and pointed the gun at him, demanding his wallet. Terrified, the victim complied. As he did so, the occupant of the second suspect vehicle also got out of his car and approached the victim’s vehicle on the passenger side. He opened the door and punched the victim as he crawled in. He then stole the victim’s cell phone which had been on the passenger seat. Both suspects then got into their respective vehicles and drove from the scene. Officers located witnesses to the incident and obtained statements. Officers located one of the suspect vehicles a short time later at Ingalls and Egbert. The suspect was detained and was positively identified as the individual who had brandished the gun at the victim. He was arrested. A search of the suspect revealed methamphetamine. In the vehicle, the officers found marijuana and an imitation firearm on the floorboard. The Suspect was booked on robbery, aggravated assault, conspiracy, and multiple other charges. The identity of the second suspect is pending. (SFPD Case No. 160584851)

 Homicide– unit block Dakota– 7/20/16, 12:00 pm

Officers responded to a call of a shooting and located a 48 year old male victim lying on the ground who had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The officers began first aide but unfortunately, arriving medics pronounced the victim deceased. The crime scene was secured and the officers preserved all evidence. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160584914)

 Firearm Arrest – 1000 block Griffith – 7/20/16, 5:00 pm

Officers were notified by a probation officer that a subject was in violation of his probation condition and were asked to go to the suspect’s home in an attempt to locate and arrest him. The officers responded to the residence and found him away from home. They conducted a probation search of his room and located a loaded 40 caliber handgun on a shelf in his closet. The suspect was arrested the following day when the officers returned to his home in search of him. He was booked on weapons charges as well as his probation violation.   (SFPD Case No. 160585865)

 Firearm Arrest– 3rd / Revere – 7/20/16, 7:10 pm

Officers conducted an investigation into a subject believed to be in illegal possession of a firearm. The suspect, a “Q Street” gang member was known to frequent the area of 3rd and Quesada. The officers responded to that location and spotted the suspect’s vehicle at 3rd and Shafter. They surveyed the car until the suspect came back and got in. He was detained pending an investigation and a loaded 40 caliber pistol was found inside the car. The suspect, a felon prohibited from possessing weapons, was booked on weapons charges with a gang enhancement. (SFPD Case No. 160586283)

Firearm Arrest – 3rd / LaSalle – 7/20/16, 10:15 pm

Officers patrolling in the area illuminated two subjects standing on the corner. One of them looked up with a startled expression and immediately turned to walk away. As the officers exited their vehicle, the suspect increased his speed and the officers heard the sound of a metallic object clank on the ground as the suspect tossed something that contacted the side of a parked car. The officers looked under the vehicle and discovered the discarded loaded .357 semi-automatic handgun. The officers gave chase and took the suspect into custody without incident. He was booked on weapons charges. (SFPD Case No. 160586744)

 Firearm Arrest – 3rd / Quesada – 7/21/16, 7:30 pm

Officers were investigating several documented “Oakdale Mob” and “Q Street” gang members in the area when they noticed a subject watching them from across the street. The subjects had a mask covering his face leaving only his eyes exposed. The officers, on concluding their investigation, walked toward the subject who quickly turned and ran. He was seen discarding his backpack and outer clothing as he did so. An officer was able to cut him off and detain him several blocks away. They retraced his route and located a loaded .32 caliber revolver concealed in a sock along with his jacket and hat on the sidewalk. The suspect, a convicted felon and documented “Oakdale Mob” gang member was arrested and booked on weapons charges with a gang enhancement.(SFPD Case No. 160589061)

 Bayview Station holds community meetings with the Captain on the first Tuesday of each month. The August 2nd meeting will be held at the National Night Out Venue (3rd/Armstrong)

The next Community meeting will be at 6PM on Tuesday, September 6th
