The officers got out of their patrol car and issued orders to the suspects, who failed to comply. The biggest of the tree suspects, with clenched fists, approached the officer as if to strike him at which point the officer’s partner intervened and physically attempted to subdue the suspect. Both officers fought for their safety, but as they were outnumbered by nearly 30 subjects, lost custody of the suspect when he was helped by others. The suspect was loaded into one of the cars that drove off along with all the other “side show” participants. One of the cars deliberately drove at one of the officers, swerving several times in an attempt to strike him as he tried to move out of the way.
