Robbery – Revere / Keith– 6/20/16, 10:17 am

A 35 year old victim was walking home when she was approached from behind by a suspect who pointed a gun at her and demanded her purse. The victim, fearing for her life, handed over the handbag and the suspect fled on foot. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160499802)

 Hot Prowl Burglary – 1100 block Hollister – 6/22/16, 8:00 pm

Officers met with a resident of a home who reported that while he was at home, he heard a loud noise coming from the side of the house. He investigated and discovered that a suspect had kicked in a door leading to the attached garage and stole a bicycle that had been inside. This incident is under investigation.  Shots Fired – 200 block Girard – 6/22/16, 8:30 am

Officers met with a resident who reported that he had discovered that his TV had been damaged and on further inspection, discovered that the nearby window pane and window shutter had been damaged as well. The officers determined that the damage was caused by a stray bullet that had come through the window and lodged in the TV. The incident had occurred at some point during the night. The officers searched the area for possible victims and additional damage but were unable to locate any. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident which is under investigation.  Auto Burglary Arrest– 200 block Texas– 6/22/16, 12:54 am

Officers responded to a call of an auto burglary in progress and met with a witness who described a suspect who was seen breaking into a vehicle and removing a backpack. The description of the suspect reminded the officers of a similar description of the suspect in another auto burglary that occurred earlier that day several blocks away. They located another witness who had seen the suspect enter his get-away vehicle and managed to take of the car and license plate. Officers ran the plate and responded to the residence of the registered owner where they found the car in the driveway and the suspect beside the car. He was detained and identified by the witnesses in both auto burglaries. Items stolen from the cars were located inside of his vehicle. The suspect was booked on multiple counts of auto burglary.  Auto Theft Arrest – 1100 bock Palou– 6/16/16, 6:40 pm

Officers on patrol were alerted by their automated license plate reader to a vehicle stopped at a curb. The car had been reported as stolen. There was a suspect inside the vehicle and he was placed under arrest. He was booked on auto theft and possession of stolen property charges. (SFPD Case No. 160502201)

 Robbery– Fitzgerald / Jennings– 6/23/16, 12:00 pm

A 51 year old victim got out of his parked vehicle and was walking to his place of business when two suspects got out of a burgundy minivan and approached him, demanding his property. When he refused the suspects attacked him and removed his wallet and other items from his pockets. The victim’s 77year old father, who was still inside the car, came out to assist his son. He was also attacked by the suspects who hit him and cause a laceration to his head. The suspects fled in their vehicle. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160508992)

Narcotics Arrest– 500 block Amador– 6/23/16, 4:50 pm

Officers stopped a car for a traffic violation and determined that the driver was on probation with a search condition. A search of his person revealed a bag of methamphetamine. The suspect was placed under arrest and was cited for the narcotics violation. (SFPD Case No. 160509633)

Firearm Arrest – Bayshore / Silver – 6/24/16, 3:23 am                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Officers responded to a call of a suspect shooting a handgun into the air., they located a suspect who matched the description provided. The suspect refused to comply with commands and took off running. The officers gave chase at which point the suspect was seen throwing a handgun to the ground. He was eventually apprehended. The .380 caliber weapon was recovered and found to be loaded. A spent shell casing was also found at the scene where the suspect had originally fired the gun. The suspect was positively identified by the witness and was booked on weapons and negligent discharge charges. (SFPD Case No. 160510680)

 Robbery – 500 block Gilman – 6/24/16, 1:15 pm                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     A 27 year old victim was walking in the area when a grey sedan pulled up beside him and two suspects got out. One of the suspects brandished a handgun at the victim while the other produced a knife. The victim was ordered to give up his property. He refused at which point he was struck in the head by one of the suspects as the other punched him in the stomach. The victim then threw his wallet to the ground and the suspects, after retrieving it, ran back to their vehicle and drove from the scene. This incident is under investigation. Shots Fired – unit block Harbor – 6/25/16, 4:10 pm                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     A 49 year old victim and his teenage son came into Bayview Station and reported that they had been shot at. The victim stated that he had parked his car near his house when gunshots rang out and his vehicle’s window shattered. He immediately started the engine and drove to Bayview Station. Neither victim was hit but the car had sustained gunshot damage. This incident is under investigation.  (SFPD Case No. 160515414)

 Shots Fired – 700 block Missouri – 6/25/16, 11:33 pm                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Officers responded to several calls of multiple gunshots. They met with residents of a unit in the area who heard the gunfire and realized that the outer walls of their building had been hit. Another resident nearby also heard the shots and discovered that his parked vehicle had been hit along with an additional car that was parked beside it. The officers searched the area for possible victims, suspects, and additional damage but were unable to locate any that night. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident, which is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160516763)

 Auto Theft Arrest – 1500 block Hudson – 6/26/16, 11:30 am

Officers spotted a motorcyclist run a stop sign prior to pulling up and parking his bike in front of a home. As the officers approached, the suspect nervously put his helmet back on and got on the bike, attempting to start it. They detained him and learned through their investigation that his license was suspended. In addition, the motorcycle had been reported as stolen. The suspect was arrested and booked on auto theft charges. (SFPD Case No. 160517658)

Robbery Arrest – 5200 block 3rd– 6/27/16, 7:14 pm

Officers were alerted to an altercation at a liquor store and saw two subjects standing outside as the clerk emerged from the store holding a baseball bat. The clerks face was red, swollen and scratched. The officers detained all of the parties involved and learned through their investigation that the two suspects had been inside the store and were caught stealing by the clerk. When they were confronted, one of the suspects sprayed her with mace. The clerk then began swinging the bat at the suspects who attacked her and struck her several times before walking out. The suspects were arrested and one was found to be in possession of several items that had been stolen from the store. Both were booked on robbery charges along with assault with a caustic chemical. Robbery – 3rd / Paul – 6/27/16, 9:00 pm

An 81 year old victim had just exited a bus and was walking home when a suspect ran up behind her and shoved her to the ground. The suspect then snatched the victim’s handbag and ran off with it. The victim was treated by paramedics at the scene for a laceration she received as a result of the fall. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160522475)

Robbery – Bacon / Hamilton – 6/27/16, 7:20 pm

A 27 year old victim was walking home while texting on her phone. A red Chevy Camero pulled up and the passenger got out and ran up to the victim. He pulled the phone from her hand with such force that she fell to the ground. The suspect then ran back into the vehicle which drove from the scene. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160522243)

 

Bayview Station holds community meetings with the Captain on the first Tuesday of each month.
