 Robbery – 400 block Amherst– 6/14/16, 11:20 am

A 65 year old victim was walking home while carrying her purse and a grocery bag. A suspect got out of a parked vehicle and approached her. He grabbed her purse and grocery bag and attempted to yank them from her. The victim fell but continued to hold onto the bags when the second suspect got out of the car and kicked the victim. She let go of the items and both suspects fled back into their vehicle and drove from the scene. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160482750)

 Robbery – Gilman / Jennings – 6/14/16, 6:42 pm

A 54 year old victim was talking on his cell phone while on a MUNI coach. A suspect, who was also on the bus, walked past the victim and snatched away the phone. The suspect started to get off the bus when the victim attempted to grab him. At this, the suspect’s accomplice approached the victim from behind and shoved him to the floor. Both suspects got off the bus and fled on foot. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160484029)

 Aggravated Assault – 1100 block Tennessee – 6/15/16, 4:30 pm

Officers responded to a call of an assault and located a 64 year old victim who had a head injury. He was immediately transported to SFGH for treatment. The officers located witnesses who saw the victim standing in the middle of the street when he was approached by a suspect who punched the victim in the face, causing him to fall and lose consciousness. Officers located video surveillance footage that may have captured the assault. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160486495)

Firearm Arrest – 900 block Connecticut – 6/16/16, 9:06 am

Officers were able to obtain a search warrant for the home of a suspect believed to be dealing drugs. The suspect was on felony probation with a search condition and was home at the time the warrant was served along with several other subjects who were detained pending the investigation. A search of the residence led the officers to the discovery of a loaded 9mm handgun, which the suspect who was a convicted felon was prohibited from possessing. He was placed under arrest and booked on the weapons violation. Another subject inside the home was found to have a no bail warrant for his arrest and was taken into custody as well.  (SFPD Case No. 160488576)

 Narcotics Arrest– 3rd / Jerrold– 6/16/16, 10:17 am

Officers were patrolling the area when they spotted a car stuck on the MUNI light rail concrete divider. Several passersby were attempting to assist in dislodging the car and were eventually successful. The officers spoke with the driver and determined that her license had been suspended due to a DUI conviction and had several warrants for her arrest. She was taken into custody. The officers found a digital scale in her possession and a bag of what appeared to be tar heroin. The suspect, when the heroin was located, attempted to reach down and snatch the bag with her teeth in order to swallow it but was unsuccessful. The officers seized the 4 grams of heroin and booked it into evidence. The suspect was booked on narcotics as well as multiple warrants for her arrest. (SFPD Case No. 160488667)

 Robbery Arrest – San Bruno / Silver– 6/16/16, 6:40 pm

Officers responded to a call of a robbery and met with the 44 year old victim. She stated that she was walking in the area when several suspects approached her from behind. One of them struck her and another snatched her phone away. The tree suspects fled on foot. While the officers were interviewing the victim, other officers were searching the area. They spotted two subjects in an altercation. Once they approached, one of the combatants broke free and took off running. The other subject identified himself as a witness to the robbery who had chased down one of the suspects and attempted to detain him. The suspect had struck him in the head during the struggle. The officers located the suspect and arrested him. Other officers located the two additional suspects nearby. All three suspects, ages 15-17, were positively identified and arrested on robbery and aggravated assault charges. (SFPD Case No. 160490264)

 Robbery– Phelps / Palou– 6/16/16, 9:50 pm

A 58 year old victim was walking home from a bus stop when she realized she was being followed. She began to run at which point she was struck in the head by a hard object and fell to the ground. Two suspects then robbed her of her purse and phone and fled on foot. The victim was transported to SFGH for treatment of the injuries she sustained during the robbery. Witnesses to the incident were located and provided suspect information. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160491052)

Robbery– Gilman / Hawes– 6/17/16, 5:00 pm

A 38 year old victim was walking while talking on her cell phone. A suspect approached her from behind and grabbed the purse she had hanging over her shoulder. The suspect yanked at it with such force that the victim fell to the ground and was dragged several feet as he continued to pull on the bag before the strap finally broke. The suspect fled on foot. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160493252)

 Shots Fired – 5000 block 3rd – 6/14/16, 9:30 pm                           

Officers responded to a Shot-Spotter activation and located several spent shell casings in the area as well as gunfire damage to a building. Witnesses stated that an occupant of a white sedan was seen shooting from the car at two pedestrians, who ran away. Video surveillance footage from a nearby building captured some of the incident. The officers searched the area for possible victims and suspects but were unable to locate any that day. No injuries were reported as a result of this shooting, which is under investigation.
