Entertainment Permit Violation– 1400 block Wallace – 6/5/16, 2:40 am

Officers responded to a call of a possible illegal warehouse party where people were reported to have been doing drugs and dancing. The officers arrived to find loud music coming from the facility, double parked cars along the street, and many individuals loitering about outside. There was a “security guard” standing out front who fetched the responsible party for the officers. The subject spoke with the officers and told them that it was a private party with limited entry. He would not allow the officers inside but the officers could clearly see people drinking and alcohol being served as they looked past him. Another subject came out who was also responsible for the event and told the officers that proper permits had been obtained. However, this was not the case as neither subject could produce valid permits. The officers questioned some attendees and were told that they had paid an entry fee to gain access to the party. The officers determined that the party was illegal and the warehouse that was being used was in violation of fire codes. The SFFD responded but the organizers refused them entry as well. Both suspects were arrested. The warehouse was entered and officers found a full bar stocked with alcohol as well as cash boxes. Both suspects were cited for permit related offenses and released.
