 Auto Theft, Stolen Property Arrest– LaSalle / Cashmere – 3/11/16, 11:01 pm

Officers responded to a call of a subject casing vehicles in the area while her accomplice waited in a parked U-Haul truck. On arrival, the U-Haul took off and the officers followed. The passenger got out at one point and walked over to a home where she proceeded to riffle though the mailbox. The officers stopped the truck and learned, thorough a record check, that it had been reported as stolen and that the driver had several warrants for her arrest. The passenger was also arrested and found to have burglary tools in her possession. A search of the U-Haul truck revealed multiple items of stolen property including mail from numerous addresses. Both suspects were booked on auto theft and possession of stolen property charges. (SFPD Case No. 160206958)


Narcotics Arrest – 19th / Pennsylvania – 3/11/16, 12:30 pm

While conducting a burglary investigation, officers noticed a hole cut into a fence in the area and went inside to investigate. They located a trespasser and detained him. A record check revealed that he had an outstanding arrest warrant for burglary. He was arrested and searched. Methamphetamine was found to be in his possession. The suspect was booked on the narcotics and warrant charges. (SFPD Case No. 160207382)


Firearm Arrest – 100 block Maddux – 3/11/16, 1:15 pm

Officers received information that a convicted felon was in possession of a firearm. They obtained a search warrant for his residence and responded to the location. They located a vehicle in the suspect’s driveway that was reported as wanted in connection with a burglary out of Alameda County. The suspect was home and was detained as the residence was searched. The officers seized a loaded .380 pistol, which had been reported as stolen, as well as magazines and gang indicia. A representative of Alameda County responded to conduct the burglary investigation. The suspect was booked on firearm charges, (SFPD Case No. 160208045)


Burglary Arrest – 1500 block Oakdale – 3/12/16, 5:47 am

Officers stopped a car for a traffic violation. The driver had a suspended license and the passenger had a large cut on his hand which was bleeding. They told the officers that they were on their way to the hospital to have the hand treated. An ambulance was summoned to the scene. The officers smelled an odor of marijuana coming from the car and searched the vehicle for drugs. They located a bloody blanket in the back seat and unrolled it to find it contained a laptop. The laptop was marked with the identification of a clothing store. In addition, the officers found items of brand new clothing in the car with tags from the same store. The officers learned through their investigation that the store, located on the 3000 block of Sacramento St. had just been burglarized the that the injured suspect most likely cut his hand in the commission of the crime. Both suspect were arrested and booked on burglary charges.  (SFPD Case No. 160209441)



Narcotics Arrest – 1200 block Quesada – 3/12/16, 3:20 pm

Officers were able to obtain a search warrant for the person, car and residence of a local drug dealer. They located the suspect in his car outside of the liquor store at Keith and Thomas where he was detained. They then conducted a search of his home where they located a large quantity of cocaine, ammunition, scales and packaging equipment. The suspect, a convicted felon, was arrested and booked on narcotics and possession of ammunition charges. (SFPD Case No. 160210545)


Carjacking – Toland / Newcomb – 3/12/16, 6:30 pm

Officers responded to a report of a carjacking and met with the 565 year old victim. He stated that he was driving his car when he saw a suspect in the middle of the roadway and sopped. The suspect approached the victim’s car, opened the driver’s door and held a knife to his stomach as he demanded the vehicle. The victim got out and ran for his life as the suspect got into the car and drove off. He only made it about half a block before stopping the car, getting out and running off on foot. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160211076)


Firearm Arrest – 4700 block 3rd – 3/12/16, 11:15 pm

Officers patrolling in the area saw suspect they recognized in the doorway of a liquor store. On seeing the officers, the suspect became visibly nervous and started shuffling something inside his jacket, causing one of his pockets to hang low on one side. The officers approached and the suspect immediately raised his hands, station that he was on probation and that “it” was not his. A pat search revealed a loaded 40 caliber handgun inside the pocket in question. The suspect, a convicted felon, was booked on firearms charges. (SFPD Case No. 160211509)


Aggravated Assault – Evans / 3rd – 3/13/16, 6:45 pm

Officers took a report from a victim at SFGH who stated that he had been attacked while standing on Evans St. outside of Walgreens. The victim stated that four suspect approached him and attacked him violently with no provocation. He was punched and kicked and ultimately struck on the head with a bottle by one of the suspects. Nothing was stolen from the victim. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160213464)


Narcotics Arrest – 3rd / Quesada – 3/14/16, 9:00 am

Officers were conducting a narcotics abatement operation in the area and witnessed a hand to hand narcotics transaction. Both parties to the sale were detained. The “buyer” was found in possession of the crack rock she had purchased and the “seller” had the money he had been given for the drugs in his hand. He was also found in possession of additional crack cocaine. The “buyer” was cited from the scene and the “seller” was booked on sales of narcotics charges. (SFPD Case No. 160214105)


Firearm Arrest – 1800 block Egbert – 3/14/16, 10:22 am

An investigation of a parolee led officers to information that he was in possession of a firearm. They conducted a parole search of the suspect’s home where they located a loaded .45 caliber handgun as well as a loaded 9mm pistol along with ammunition. The suspect was arrested and booked on weapons and parole violation charges.  (SFPD Case No. 160214309)


Narcotics Arrest – 4700 block 3rd – 3/14/16, 12:35 pm

Officers patrolling the area detained two suspects for loitering under a “no trespassing” sign. One of the suspects was in possession of narcotics smoking paraphernalia and the other had a small amount of heroin in his possession. Both suspects were cited for the offenses and released at from the scene. (SFPD Case No. 160214854)


Recovered Firearm – 1700 block Oakdale – 3/15/16, 4:20 pm

Officers went to the home of a wanted fugitive in an attempt to locate him. A reluctant subject answered the door and delayed allowing the officers entry. They finally got in to find the backdoor wide opened, presumably used by the suspect they were looking for to escape while his friend delayed them. A loaded .38 caliber handgun was found on the bathroom sink. The suspect who answered the door was placed under arrest and booked. A search warrant was obtained for the house. Another gun, a PJK-9HP, was found inside of a bag in the home.  (SFPD Case No. 160218981)


Robbery – unit block Bowman – 3/15/16, 7:30 pm

A 57 year old victim was walking his dogs inside the Youngblood Coleman Park when a suspect approached him and asked for the time. The victim continued to walk until he was struck on the back of the head and fell the ground. Other suspects joined in and kicking him while others were hitting him with tree branches. They then went through the victim’s pockets, removing his cash, before fleeing the scene on foot. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160219456)


Shooting – 1000 block Connecticut – 3/15/16, 10:05 pm

Officers responded to a call of a shooting and located a 38 year old victim, with multiple gunshot wounds to his legs and hip, inside of a residence. He was not cooperative with the officers and refused to provide any information regarding what had occurred or his own identity. He was transported to SFGH for treatment. The officers located a crime scene outside which they preserved along with all evidence. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160219735)
