Robbery Attempt, Assault Arrest – 3rd / Evans – 2/22/16, 11:58 pm

An employee of a gas station confronted two suspects who stole some items from the convenience store and ran out into the parking lot towards a waiting car. The driver of the vehicle came out and attempted to stab the victim with a screwdriver. The victim backed off for fear of his safety as all three suspects got into the vehicle and drove from the scene. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160168819)

 Narcotics Arrest – unit block Topeka – 2/26/16, 4:15 pm

Officers responded to a call of a fight and located the two subjects involved. One was sitting in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle. During the course of their investigation, they discovered marijuana in plain sight inside the car. A thorough search of the vehicle revealed additional marijuana as well as several twists of heroin. The suspect in the vehicle was arrested and booked on narcotics violations. (SFPD Case No. 160168778)

 Burglary Arrest – 1100 block Oakdale – 2/26/16, 5:00 pm

Bayview investigators were able to identify a suspect involved in a February 25th burglary that occurred at a home on the 1100 block of Palou. Officers responded to the suspect’s residence where they conducted a probation search and placed him under arrest. A television that had been stolen in the burglary was found inside the house. He was booked on burglary and probation violation charges.  (SFPD Case No. 160167219)

 Firearm Arrest – 1700 block Armstrong – 2/27/16, 4:15 pm

Officers responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle and located the parked car occupied with three subjects. They conducted record checks on the individuals and determined that one of them was on active probation with a search condition. The suspect had car keys in his possession which belonged to a vehicle that was parked next to the car the subjects were seated in. A search of the subject’s car revealed a loaded .40 caliber pistol underneath the driver’s seat. The suspect was placed under arrest and booked on firearms charges along with a probation violation.  Shooting – 1600 block Oakdale – 2/26/16, 11:52 pm

Officers patrolling in the area heard multiple rounds of gunfire and immediately drove towards the source. They located a 26 year old male victim, who had been shot multiple times, in the street. They rendered aid and had the victim transported to SFGH where he was treated for his injuries. The crime scene was secured and all evidence was preserved along with witness statements. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160169685)

Narcotics Arrest – 1700 block Quesada – 2/27/16, 9:37 am

Officers were conducting narcotics surveillance in the area in response to numerous complaints from residents and merchants regarding rampant drug activity plaguing the vicinity. They observed numerous individuals hanging out in front of a home where they had set up a table and chairs on the sidewalk. They observed several hand to hand drug transactions involving individuals that would come up to the table and sit down. As soon as the money and drugs traded hands, the buyers would get up and walk away. The dealer had his drugs stored in a nearby parked vehicle that he would approach every so often to remove the drugs from. The suspected dealer was arrested and two of the buyers were detained and cited. The dealer had crack cocaine and a large amount of cash in his possession. Numerous additional rocks of crack cocaine were located in his parked vehicle. The suspect was booked on narcotics for sale charges. (SFPD Case No. 160170422)

Carjacking – Keith / Hudson – 2/28/16, 3:05 am

Two 27 year old victims were robbed after arranging to purchase some drugs from the suspect who they met at the corner. The suspect told them and told them to drive up the block to complete the sale. Once they drove to the end of the block, a second suspect approached their car with a gun and ordered them out of their vehicle. He then ordered them to the ground and told them to surrender their property. After stealing their wallets, the suspect got into the victims’ vehicle and drove off. The original suspect (the victims’ drug dealer) followed the second suspect in his own car. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160172882)

 Aggravated Assault Arrest – Van Dyke / 3rd – 2/28/16, 8:15 am

A 53 year old victim was walking along the street when a suspect that ke recognized from the area confronted him about an issue the two had previously had. The suspect slapped the victim and threw a brick at him, narrowly missing. The suspect then picked up a machete and began chasing the victim with it. The victim was able to get away. The officers located the suspect later that day on the 1600 block of McKinnon and placed him under arrest. He was booked on aggravated assault and battery charges. (SFPD Case No. 160173119)

Auto Theft, Stolen Property Arrest – 25th / Iowa – 2/29/16, 1:23 am

Officers responded to a call of a burglary where a suspect was seen breaking into a garage on the 1000 block of Mississippi, removing several boxes, and then loading them into a gold colored SUV which drove from the scene. The officers located the car driving in the area of 25th and Pennsylvania and effected a traffic stop. A record check reveled that the vehicle had been reported a s stolen. The driver was on felony probation with a search condition and his passengers had warrants for their arrests. All three were taken into custody. A search of the vehicle revealed narcotics paraphernalia and methamphetamine. In addition, the officers found a plethora of items that had been reported as stolen in several separate incidents including 28 cell phones and numerous gift cards. They also located counterfeit currency. The suspect with the search condition had his home on the 500 block of 2nd Ave searched as well where additional stolen property was located a seized. All three suspects were booked on possession of stolen property, auto theft, narcotics, and conspiracy charges. (SFPD Case No. 160175228)

Burglary Arrest – 100 block Yale – 2/29/16, 12:41 pm

Officers responded to a call of a burglary in progress. The witness stated that he had seen a suspect kick in the front door to a neighbor’s house, enter, and emerge several minutes later. The suspect had run down the street where he was stopped by officers and positively identified by the witness. The officers made contact with the resident of the burglarized home who confirmed that he did not know the suspect and that his house had in fact been burglarized. The suspect was arrested. A ski mask and burglary tools were found in his possession. He was booked on multiple burglary and burglary tools violations. (SFPD Case No. 160176226)
