  Robbery Attempt, Assault Arrest – 3rd / Evans – 2/22/16, 11:58 pm

Officers patrolling in the area spotted two subjects struggling on the ground and went to assist. One of the subjects was on top of the other, striking his pace. The parties were detained and the officers learned through their investigation that the aggressor was actually attempting to rob the victim. The 21 year old victim had been using his cell phone when the suspect approached him and demanded that he surrender the phone. When the victim refused, the suspect attacked him, beating him violently, until the police showed up. The suspect was arrested and booked on aggravated assault and attempted robbery charges. Aggravated Assault – 1200 block Van Dyke – 2/23/16, 10:00 am

Officers responded to a report of an assault and met with the 83 year old victim who reported having an altercation with his neighbor several days prior. The victim told the officers that the suspect (his neighbor) had accused him of slashing his tires. When the victim denied this, the suspect grabbed him by the clothing and slammed him into a parked vehicle several times. The victim told the officers that he had already been treated for the injuries he had sustained. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160164992)


 Shooting – 1600 block Quesada – 2/24/16, 7:30 pm

Officers arrived at the scene of a shooting and located an adult male victim, who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the back in the street. He was rendered aid and transported to SFGH where he received treatment. The officers secured the crime scene, preserved all evidence and obtained witness statements. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160163461)


 Robbery Arrest – 3800 3rd – 2/25/16, 5:30 pm

Officers responded to a drug store on a call of a theft and met with the security officer that had one of two shoplifting suspects detained. He told the officers that he had observed both suspects walking in a store aisle. One of them selected some items from a shelf as the other acted as a lookout. Both suspects then left the store without attempting to pay for the items that had by then been concealed in a purse. The suspect with the purse, when stopped by security, attacked him and punched him multiple times in the face before running away. She was located nearby by the officers and was arrested along with the suspect still at the store. Both were booked on robbery, aggravated assault, and conspiracy charges. (SFPD Case No. 160166368)


 Warrant Arrest – Rhode Island / 25th – 2/25/16, 11:55 pm

Officers responded to a report of a subject casing vehicles in the area. They located the suspect and detained him pending their investigation. A record check revealed that he had an outstanding $25,000 warrant for his arrest. He was taken into custody and booked. (SFPD Case No. 160167269)
