Narcotics Arrest– Newcomb/ 3rd – 1/12/16, 9:30 am

Officers patrolling the area noticed two subjects seated in a parked car. One appeared to be loading a glass crack pipe. They approached the vehicle and the suspect with the pipe clutched something I her hand and hit it from sight. When asked if she was in possession of drugs, she admitted to having marijuana. The crack pipe, along with the crack rock, was located inside the car. The suspect was arrested and cited for the offense. (SFPD Case No. 160030791)

 Auto Theft, Narcotics Arrest – Silver / Cambridge – 1/12/16, 12:35 pm

Officers patrolling in the area of Dartmouth and Olmstead came across a vehicle driving that they recognized from as having been reported as stolen. They drove behind the car which made several evasive turns before colliding with another vehicle. Both the driver and his passenger got out and fled. They were shortly apprehended after a brief foot chase. Inside the car, the officers located multiple items of stolen property and multiple burglary tools. One of the suspects also had methamphetamine in his possession. Both suspects were booked on their respective charges which included auto theft, possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools, and possession of narcotics. (SFPD Case No. 151100919)

Robbery – 23rd / Arkansas – 1/12/16, 8:10 pm

A 23 year old victim was boarding a bus in the area while using her cell phone when two suspects followed her on and took seats in the rear. When the coach stopped, both suspects approached her and one of them forcefully yanked the phone from her hands. Both suspects then got off the bus and fled on foot. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160032850)

Dumping Hazardous Material Arrest – 1500 block Shafter – 1/13/16, 8:40 am

Officers responded to a home in the area after numerous complaints of the resident operating an illegal auto repair business out of his garage. On arrival, the officers noticed the suspect hosing motor oil that had spilled onto the sidewalk into the storm drain. He was arrested and cited for the misdemeanor offense. The investigation into the original complaint is ongoing. (SFPD Case No. 160033864)

Burglary, Auto Theft Arrest– 16th / Mariposa – 1/13/16, 10:40 am

Officers responded to a call of a subject, who appeared to be in sweaty and in a hurry, pushing a dirt bike down the street. The officers located the suspect with the dirt bike at a bus stop. He immediately walked away from the bike stating that it was not his and that he did not steal it. He was positively identified by the witness who saw him pushing the bike down the road. Just then, a call of a stolen dirt bike came in from the Mission District. It turned out that the dirt bike had been stolen during a burglary on the 1200 block of Mission St. A video surveillance camera captured the crime being committed. The suspect, already on probation, was arrested and booked on auto theft and burglary charges. (SFPD Case No. 160034408)

Aggravated Assault Arrest– 100 block Apollo – 1/13/16, 2:30 pm

Officers responded to a call of an altercation inside a home and detained the parties involved. One of the subjects was recognized as having been wanted in connection with an aggravated assault that took place at the same location the previous night. He was placed under arrest. The second subject was found to have several no bail warrants for his arrest and was taken into custody as well. They were both booked on their respective charges. (SFPD Case No. 160033024)

Robbery – 3rd / Gilman – 1/13/16, 2:45 pm

A victim was waiting for the bus when a suspect approached him, lifted up his sweatshirt, and showed the victim a knife that was in his waistband. The suspect ordered the victim to give up his cell phone under the threat of getting stabbed. The terrified victim complied and handed over his phone. The suspect fled on foot. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160036222)

Robbery Attempt– 1600 block Armstrong – 1/13/16, 4:05 pm

A 26 year old victim was standing on the sidewalk when a suspect, brandishing a knife, approached him and told him to give up his money. The victim ran into a nearby building and the suspect fled on foot. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160035490)

Burglary, Carjacking Arrest – 100 block Boutwell – 1/14/16, 6:00 am

A 69 year old victim was inside her bedroom when she and her caretaker heard loud noises outside of the home. The care taker looked out of the front window and yelled that a suspect had just broken out there window and was attempting to get into the house. The victim called 911. The suspect, startled at the sight of the caretaker, walked away from the home. Simultaneously, a 56 year old neighbor of her home just a few houses down from the burglary had walked to her car that was parked in her driveway. She was removing some items from her car when the suspect approached her and began yelling at her. He then pushed her aside and got into the driver’s seat. He attempted to start the car but was unable to locate the keys, which were still with the victim. The officers arrived to find the suspect still inside the vehicle and he was promptly arrested and booked on burglary and robbery charges. (SFPD Case No. 160037139)

Narcotics Arrest – Shafter / Lane – 1/14/16, 11:45 am

Officers stopped a car for a traffic violation and subsequently arrested the driver after determining that his license was suspended. They found a baggie of powder cocaine on his person. The suspect was cited for the narcotics and vehicle code violations. (SFPD Case No. 160037888)
