Burglary Arrest– 4900 block 3rd – 1/7/16, 12:40 pm

Officers responded to a bank after the branch manager called and reported that a suspect was attempting to open an account using a fake ID and fake social security card. The teller assisting the suspect became suspicious when the ID card looked to be tampered with and decided to run the social security number, which came back to a different individual. The spooked suspect left the bank after the failed attempt but was soon located at a bus stop by the officers. He was positively identified and placed under arrest. The counterfeit cards were found in his possession. He was booked on burglary and false personation charges. (SFPD Case No. 160017404)


 Shooting Warrant Arrest – Gillette / Blanken – 1/7/16, 11:00 pm

Plainclothes officers set up surveillance near a home on the unit block of Gillette in an attempt to locate a suspect wanted in connection to a shooting that occurred in Oakland. The suspect was located as he made his way home and was taken into custody and surrendered to Oakland PD. (SFPD Case No. 160019331)


Shots Fired – 1400 block Quint – 1/9/16, 2:20 am

Officers responded to a complaint of shots fired in the area and located a parked vehicle that had been hit by a round as well as a home that had two bullet holes in an outer wall. The occupants of the residence had not been injured and no other injuries or damage had been reported as a result of this incident, which is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160022566)


Armed Robbery – Selby / Jerrold – 1/9/16, 3:00 am

A victim was walking to his car when two suspects approached him from behind and demanded his money. The victim turned to see that one of the suspects had been armed with a gun. The suspect put him in a headlock and struck him with the pistol while the second suspect removed his wallet and phone from his pockets. Both suspects then got into a dark colored Suburban and drove from the scene. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160001350)


Armed Robbery Attempt – unit block Osceola – 1/9/16, 8:20 pm

Officers responded to a call of a robbery and met with two residents, a father and son, who reported the incident. The father was asleep when he heard the voice of who he thought was his 24 year old son. He stepped into the hallway to see two suspects walking out of the son’s room. One of them pointed a handgun at him before both suspects left the residence. The son told the officers that he had just returned home and noticed that their front door had been breached. He called to his father before walking in but just as he did so, two suspects burst out of the house and ran past him. Crime Scene Investigations responded to collect all evidentiary evidence. Armed Robbery– 3100 block Ingalls – 1/10/16, 2:30 am

Two friends, ages 35 and 38, were walking to their car when two suspects approached them from behind, each grabbing the victims around the neck. One of the victims stated that the suspect that held her had a gun in his hand. The suspects snatched each victim’s respective purse. The subject with the handgun struck the victim he had been holding with the gun before both suspects fled the scene of foot. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160025269)


Auto Theft Arrest– 2000 block Revere – 1/10/16, 10:30 am

Officers responded to a call from a victim who spotted his own stolen vehicle parked in the area. The officers responded to the location and found the car parked and occupied by two subjects. Both were arrested. They were found to have shaves car keys and methamphetamine in their possession. They were booked on auto theft, narcotics, possession of burglary tools, as well as conspiracy charges. (SFPD Case No. 160025805)


Narcotics Arrest– 5000 block 3rd – 1/10/16, 12:13 pm

Officers patrolling in the area spotted a suspect standing at the corner who they knew had several outstanding warrants for his arrest. They took him into custody and on searching him, found multiple bags of marijuana individually packaged for the purpose of sales. The suspect was booked on the narcotics charges and his warrants. Carjacking – 1100 block Gilman – 1/10/16, 5:30 pm

Officers responded to a call of a robbery and met with the victim. He stated that he had had agreed to sell his dirt bike over the internet and had met with the “buyer”. He agreed to let the subject start the bike and test drive it down the street. When the suspect returned, he brandished a pistol at the victim and continued riding off on the victim’s motorbike. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160026803)


Attempted Robbery – Patterson / Flower – 1/10/16, 6:20 pm

A 27 year old victim had just parked his car in the area when a suspect opened the passenger side door, pointed a handgun at the victim, and demanded money. The victim got out of his car and immediately began dialing 911, telling the suspect he was calling the police. The suspect then put the gun into his waistband and headed over to a waiting Audi A4. He got into the vehicle which then drove from the scene. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 160026950)
