Firearm Arrest – unit block Dakota – 11/17/15, 9:40 am:                                   

Officers responded to a report of an amputee in a wheelchair who was armed with a handgun. They located the suspect, who on seeing the officers, turned his wheelchair around and attempted to flee. The officers followed the suspect who ditched the loaded .45 caliber handgun onto the street before stopping. He was placed under arrest. Marijuana, packaged for the purpose of sales, was found on his person. The officers recovered the firearm and determined that it had been reported as stolen. The suspect was booked on multiple weapons violations as well as narcotics charges. (SFPD Case No. 151000557)


 Attempted Homicide Arrest – unit block Watchman – 11/17/15, 4:51 pm:

Officers responded to a call of shots fired and located a 23 year old victim lying on the ground who had suffered several gunshot wounds. He was immediately transported to SFGH for treatment and is expected to recover. Another set of officers arriving at the scene noticed a vehicle speeding from the area. Believing that the vehicle may have been involved, the officers attempted to stop the car. The driver did not yield immediately but ultimately stopped after a brief pursuit. As a result of this detention and investigation, a loaded 9mm handgun was located and seized. The crime scene was secured and all evidence was preserved. The suspect, a convicted felon prohibited from possessing weapons, was booked on attempted homicide and aggravated assault charges. (SFPD Case No. 151001470)


 Narcotics Arrest– 1200 block Wisconsin – 11/17/15, 5:14 pm

Officers stopped a car for a traffic violation and conducted record checks on the driver and his passenger. The passenger had a warrant for his arrest and was taken into custody. A search of his person revealed heroin packaged in a manner constant with the sale of the drug. The suspect was arrested and booked on narcotics charges as well as his warrant. Firearm Arrest– 3rd / Palou – 11/17/15, 8:30 pm

Officers patrolling in the area spotted two subjects loitering on the corner that they recognized as documented street gang members. The officers approached the suspects and could detect a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the pair. When asked if the subjects had marijuana in their possession, they replied in the affirmative. As the officers searched the subjects for the drugs, one of the suspects began to get squirmy, trying to break free. The officer then seized loaded .25 caliber pistol with an obliterated serial number from the suspect’s jacket pocket. The suspect arrested was booked on weapons charges (SFPD Case No. 151002638)


 Auto Burglary Arrest– Fairfax / Mendell – 11/18/15, 12:40 pm

Officers responded to a call of an auto burglary that had just occurred. A witness spotted a suspect breaking into a parked vehicle and removing the stereo from the car before walking away. The officers located the suspect on the MUNI platform at 3rd and Evans where he was detained. He was positively identified by the witness. The officers located the stolen stereo in the suspect’s possession. He was booked on auto boost and possession of stolen property charges. (SFPD Case No. 151004242)


Firearm, Narcotics Arrest– 1000 block Connecticut – 11/18/15, 5:00 pm

Officers responded to the residence of a subject wanted on an outstanding $60,000 warrant for burglary. A male subject refused to allow the officers entry until they threatened to breach the door. The officers detained the subjects as they searched the apartment for the wanted suspect. She was located inside and arrested. The officers obtained a search warrant and conducted a search of the residence.  They located large amounts of marijuana, crystal methamphetamine, scales, packaging equipment, pay-sheets, large amounts of currency, as well as a loaded 9mm firearm. Both residents were arrested and booked on weapons and narcotics for sales charges. (SFPD Case No. 151005193)


Auto Burglary Arrest– unit block Vista View – 11/18/15, 8:40 pm

An officer patrolling in the area spotted a subject seated inside a parked vehicle with latex gloves on his hands. The rubber gloves, commonly used by thieves to prevent the possibility of fingerprint evidence, gave the officer pause and he decided to investigate. The suspect was detained and the owner of the vehicle was located. She stated that she did not know the suspect and did not grant him access to her vehicle. The suspect was arrested. The officers found numerous shaved keys, commonly used to start the ignition of stolen cars, on his person. He was also in possession of multiple burglary tools. The suspect, already on active probation, was booked on multiple charges including attempted auto burglary, possession of burglary tools, and probation violation. (SFPD Case No. 151005892)


Home Invasion Robbery Arrest– 2000 block Bancroft – 11/18/15, 8:40 pm

Two victims, a husband and wife aged 61 and 65, had just arrived home and parked in their driveway. The wife walked to the front gate of their home when she noticed a suspect walking briskly toward her. She became afraid and managed to get into the gate and lock it behind her. The suspect then approached her husband and began ordering him to surrender his property. When the husband refused, the suspect punched him in the face and threw him to the ground where he beat him mercilessly. The wife ran out of the gate to try to assist her husband at which point the suspect turned on her. Afraid for her life, the wife ran back into her gate and closed it but the suspect was able to kick it open. He then punched the wife in the face and snatched her purse away from her. The suspect attempted to flee the scene but was apprehended by two witnesses who held him until the police arrived.  The suspect was booked on home invasion robbery, aggravated assault, and elder abuse charges. Both victims were transported to SFGH for treatment for their injuries.  (SFPD Case No. 151005864)


Hot Prowl Burglary Arrest– 2000 block 19th – 11/18/15, 10:30 pm

Two victims were inside their home when one of them noticed their window being forced open and a suspect reaching his arm inside. The resident confronted the suspect who fled the scene. The officers located the suspect on 18th and Kansas and detained him. He was positively identified and arrested. The suspect, already on probation, was booked on hot prowl burglary and probation violation charges.  (SFPD Case No. 151006204)


Narcotics Arrest– Oakdale / 3rd – 11/19/15, 8:40 am

Officers conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle violation and during the course of their investigation determined that the driver had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was taken into custody. The suspect was found to have several individually wrapped twists of tar heroin in his possession. A search of the vehicle revealed a container with additional heroin. The suspect was booked on narcotics violations.  (SFPD Case No. 151006975)


Robbery– 1500 block Palou – 11/19/15, 10:20 pm

A 19 year old victim was robbed while walking home when a suspect approached him and told the victim that he was armed. The suspect demanded that the victim surrender his property. The suspect then grabbed the victims backpack away from him and fled on foot. This incident is under investigation.   (SFPD Case No. 151009418)
