Bank Robbery, Firearm Arrest – 1015 Connecticut – 11/03/15, 10:30 pm:                                 

Officers patrolling in the Potrero Hill Housing Development suddenly heard “cat calls” in the area that are typically yelled out to alert the presence of the police to this in the area. Immediately, the officers noticed two suspects begin to run away. One was clutching his waistband as he fled. The officers gave chase. One of the officers chased one suspect to the 1000 block of Connecticut, where he lost sight of him. The suspect had discarded a handgun (a loaded 380 auto with an obliterated serial number) as he ran. While searching, he spotted the second suspect turn the corner and quickly detained him. The suspect had a burglary warrant for his arrest and was taken into custody. He told the officers that he lived on the block and that his kids were home alone. The officers went into his house to conduct a well being check on the kids but instead of locating children, they located the first suspect pretending to be asleep in one of the children’s bed. He was taken into custody as well. One of the officers noticed that the subject matched the suspect photo of a bank robber in a recent crime bulletin. He was identified and taken into custody. A search warrant was secured and conducted on the residence that yielded ammunition, bank dye pack, and bank documents. The suspect, who was connected to several recent bank robberies, was booked on weapons and multiple bank robbery offenses.  (SFPD Case No. 150962182)


Narcotics Arrest – Loomis / Oakdale – 11/03/15, 10:46 pm:

Officers stopped a car for a traffic violation and on contacting the driver, detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from inside the car. The suspect admitted to having smoked marijuana in the vehicle. The suspect was on probation with a search condition. The officers searched him and the vehicle and located additional marijuana, packaged for the purpose of sales along with hydrocodone pills. The suspect was booked on narcotics on narcotics charges. Auto Theft Arrest – 100 block Connecticut – 11/03/15, 4:50 am:

Officers patrolling the Potrero Hill Housing Development conducted a recorded check on a parked car and determined that it had been reported as stolen. They approached the vehicle and found the suspect asleep in the driver’s seat. The suspect was placed under arrest and booked on auto theft charges. (SFPD Case No. 150956862)


Narcotics Arrest – 4700 block 3rd – 11/04/15, 11:40 pm:

Officers stopped a car for a traffic violation and made contact with the driver. A record check revealed that he had an outstanding $40,000 warrant for his arrest. He was taken into custody and searched at which point the officers located heroin in his possession. He was booked on the warrant and narcotics offenses. (SFPD Case No. 150965562)

Bayview Station holds community meetings with the Captain on the first Tuesday of each month. Due to elections, November’s meeting will be held on the following Monday.

The next Community meeting will be at 6PM on Monday, November 9th
