Robbery Attempt – Girard/ Bacon – 10/30/15, 9:45 pm:                                  

A 36 year old victim was waiting for the bus while holding his cell phone in his hand. A suspect approached the victim and attempted to snatch the cell phone away. The victim struggled with the suspect but was able to retain his phone. The suspect fled into a waiting vehicle which drove from the scene. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150949839)

Robbery – unit block West Point – 10/30/15, 10:55 pm:

A 78 year old victim parked his car and entered his trunk to remove a backpack. While doing so a suspect approached him and yanked the backpack away, causing the victim to fall to the ground. The suspect then fled on foot. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150950024)

Auto Theft Arrest– Revere / Jennings – 10/31/15, 7:30 pm:

Officers patrolling the area were alerted to a stolen vehicle that had a LoJack theft recovery system installed. The officers located the vehicle being driven and stopped the car. The driver was arrested and booked on auto theft charges. (SFPD Case No. 150949588)

Shots Fired – 1600 block Keith – 11/01/15, 1:35 am:

Officers responded to a call of shots fired and located two subjects who both had facial injuries. Both victims, a 21 year old female and a 21 year old male, were intoxicated and told the officers that they had received their injuries from getting into a physical altercation with some unknown suspects. Their injuries were constant with a battery, however, the officers did find spent shell casings at the scene. Neither victim remembered hearing any gunfire. The officers preserved the crime scene and preserved all evidence. No other injuries or damage were reported as a result of this incident, which is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150953125)

Hot Prowl Burglary – 400 block Bayshore – 11/01/15, 5:00 pm:

Officers responded to a call of a burglary and met with the owners of a warehouse who had captured the incident on security footage. The officers watched the video which showed the suspect t breaking into the facility by sliding under a roll up security door. The suspect is then seen rummaging through drawers and stealing money from the cash register. The suspect then climbed to the residential portion of the warehouse where the two victims slept, stealing additional cash before fleeing the scene. This incident is under investigation. Stay Away Order Arrest – 3rd / Palou – 11/01/15, 9:11 am:

Officers spotted a suspect drinking from a vodka bottle as he stood on the corner. They detained him for the violation and learned through a record check that he had an active stay away order form the area for loitering where narcotics are bought and sold. The suspect was placed under arrest and booked. (SFPD Case No. 150953830)

Armed Robbery – unit block Nichols – 11/01/15, 10:10 pm:

A 23 year old victim was walking to a friend’s home when he noticed that he was being followed. He turned to see a suspect armed with a handgun. The suspect demanded the victim’s property. The suspect then went through the victim’s pockets, removing his iPhone and money. The suspect then fled on foot. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150955949)

Armed Robbery – 2000 block McKinnon – 11/02/15, 6:53 pm:

Two victims were leaving their place of business and entering their vehicle when a grey SUV stopped behind them and two suspects got out and them. Both suspects were wearing Halloween masks and were armed with handguns. The suspects demanded the victims’ property, stealing a wallet, phone, and purse. The suspect then got back into their vehicle and drove from the scene. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150958448)

Auto Burglary Arrest – 700 block Minnesota – 11/02/15, 9:30 pm:

Officers responded to a call of an auto burglary and met with the victim whose car had been boosted. A backpack and laptop had been stolen from inside the vehicle. The victim drove around and spotted a suspect carrying the stolen backpack at 20th and Minnesota. When the victim confronted the suspect, the suspect dropped the backpack and took off running. The officers searched the area and locate the suspect who was positively identified. He was arrested and was found to have burglary tools in his possession. The 16 year old suspect was cited for the violation. (SFPD Case No. 150958852)

Bayview Station holds community meetings with the Captain on the first Tuesday of each month. Due to elections, November’s meeting will be held on the following Monday.
