On October 22nd, George Washington Carver Elementary School held a Law Enforcement Day. The kids and participating officers had a great time!



Robbery – Wayland / Brussels – 10/20/15, 10:40 pm:

A 41 year old victim was robbed as she walked home. A suspect shoved her from behind and yanked the purse that she had been holding from her shoulder. The suspect then fled on foot. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150918969)

Firearm Arrest – 300 block Bayshore – 10/21/15, 2:30 am:

Officers stopped a car for running a stop sign and made contact with the driver. A record check revealed that he was on active probation with a search condition as well as a $30,000 burglary warrant for his arrest. The officers noticed that the suspect also matched the description of a subject involved in an indecent exposure incident that occurred on the earlier that morning at a gas station on the 2900 block of San Bruno. The victim in that case was notified and responded to the scene where the suspect was positively identified. The suspect was placed under arrest. A probation search of his vehicle revealed marijuana and a probation search of his home on the 600 block of Keith produced additional marijuana in large quantities, scales, packaging equipment as well as a 9mm handgun. The suspect, a convicted felon prohibited from possessing weapons, was booked on indecent exposure, possession of narcotics for sale, weapons violations as well as his warrant.  (SFPD Case No. 150919252)

Armed Robbery – 1500 block Palou – 10/21/15, 3:30 pm:

Two victims were walking in the area as they passed an occupied parked vehicle with two subjects inside. One of the subjects asked the victims if they wanted to buy some marijuana and the victims agreed. The suspect stepped out of the car and into an alcove with both victims. Instead of selling them marijuana, the suspect pulled out two handguns and pointed them at the victims. The second suspect then approached and both suspects proceeded to rob the victims of their belongings. The victims were then told to turn and run away, an order with which the victims complied. They reported the incident the following day at Bayview Station. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150921100)

Hot Prowl Burglary Arrest– unit block Apollo – 10/21/15, 6:30 pm:

Officers responded to a call of a robbery and met with the victim. He explained that he was the resident of the home they were at and that he had left his garage door open while he went inside the house for several minutes. While inside, he heard his neighbor screaming that someone was stealing his stuff. The victim came outside to see a suspect walking away with a welding machine that he had stolen from the victim’s garage. The victim followed the suspect and confronted him. The suspect put the stolen property down and threatened to kill the victim if he did not stop following him. The victim returned home and called the police. The officers located the suspect in the area and placed him under arrest. He was booked on hot prowl burglary charges. (SFPD Case No. 150921627)

Armed Robbery – Harney / Jamestown – 10/21/15, 8:00 pm:

Four victims were hanging out in the picnic area of the park when they were approached by two armed suspects. The suspects pointed their handguns at the victims and demanded their belongings. The suspects forcefully removed the victims’ property from them before fleeing the scene. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150921859)

Bayview Station holds community meetings with the Captain on the first Tuesday of each month. Due to elections, November’s meeting will be held on the following Monday.

The next Community meeting will be at 6PM on Monday, November 9th
