Auto Burglary, Firearms Arrest – Illinois / 22nd – 10/15/15, 5:30 pm:

Officers responded to a call of an auto burglary that had occurred in the area and through their investigation, were able to identify a suspect. One of the officers was familiar with the suspect and where he lived. The officers were able to obtain a search warrant for the suspect’s home on the 700 block of Missouri and responded to the location to serve the warrant at 6:00 am the following morning. They detained the suspect as they searched the residence. Some of the items stolen in the auto burglary were located along with a 22 caliber pistol, a .45 caliber handgun, and a 9mm firearm that had been reported as stolen. Ammunition was also located in the residence. The suspect, a convicted felon on active probation, was arrested and booked on auto burglary, firearm, and probation violation charges. Aggravated Assault – 1000 block Oakdale – 10/16/15, 5:30 pm:

Officers responded to a call of an altercation and met with the 51 year old male victim who had a laceration to the back of his head. He told the officers the suspect was an acquaintance of his who he had allowed to stay in his home on previous occasions. The victim stated that as he was walking home, the suspect approached him and pistol whipped him with a handgun for no apparent reason before fleeing the scene. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment. An arrest warrant in this case is pending. (SFPD Case No. 150906544)


Robbery – Palou / Newhall – 10/17/15, 12:00 am:

A 27 year old victim was robbed as he walked along the street. Three suspects approached him from behind and, grabbed him, and removed his cash and cell phone from his pockets. One of the suspects then punched the victim causing him to fall to the ground. He reported the robbery the following day at Bayview Station. This incident is under investigation. Aggravated Assault – 5100 block 3rd – 10/17/15, 5:40 pm:

A business owner who has an ongoing issue with people parking in his private lot got into an argument with a subject who had parked his vehicle on the victim’s private property. Out of frustration, the victim poured water on the suspect’s car. The victim then walked away and the suspect attacked him from behind, striking him in the back with a glass jar. The suspect then got into his vehicle and drove away. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150909275)


Aggravated Assault Arrest – 1700 block Newcomb – 10/18/15, 7:00 am:

Officers responded to a call of an altercation between a mother and her adult daughter. Their investigation revealed that the suspect (daughter) got upset that her mother (victim) woke her up late for work. The two got into a heated argument at which point the suspect grabbed a frying pan from the kitchen and struck the victim in the face with it. The suspect was placed under arrest and booked on aggravated assault charged. The victim was transported to SFGH for treatment. (SFPD Case No. 150910595)


Narcotics Arrest– 1700 block Quesada – 10/18/15, 7:50 pm:

Officers patrolling the area decided to conduct a foot patrol along the 1700 block of Quesada in response to the rampant drug activity in the area. They noticed a suspect look at them and then immediately walk over to a lawn chair and toss something on the seat. He then picked up another lawn chair and attempted to stack it on the first in an attempt to conceal the object that he threw on it. The officers detained him and recovered a bag containing multiple rocks of crack cocaine from the seat of the lawn chair. The suspect was placed under arrest and searched. Additional rocks of crack cocaine were found on his person. He was arrested and booked on possession of narcotics for sale charges.(SFPD Case No. 150912171)


Robbery – 200 block Somerset – 10/18/15, 10:00 pm:

Officers responded to a report of a robbery and met with the 60 year old victim. He stated that he was walking home when two suspects approached him from behind. One of the suspects strangles him as the other punched him in the face, rendering him unconscious. He came to and found his wallet and iPhone had been stolen. This incident is under investigation. Aggravated Assault Arrest – 3rd/ Salinas – 10/19/15, 12:55 am:

Three male victims, ages 36, 34 and 26 were walking in the area when a suspect came out of a home on the 6200 block of 3rd with a handgun. He approached one of the victims, pointed the gun at him and called him a “scrap” (derogatory term in Hispanic Norteño gang culture referring to a Sureño Hispanic gang member). The suspect then struck the victim with the gun. The other two victims went to assist their friend and the suspects struck them multiple times as well. The victims fled and flagged down a police car. The officers responded to the home that the suspect was seen coming out of and located him inside. He was identified and placed under arrest. He was found in a possession of a weapon which was seized. He was booked on aggravated assault and weapons possession charges.  (SFPD Case No. 150912858)

Bayview Station holds community meetings with the Captain on the first Tuesday of each month. Due to elections, November’s meeting will be held on the following Monday.
