Robbery Arrests– LaSalle / 3rd – 9/29/15, 2:30 pm:

On September 14th, a 30 year old victim came to Bayview Station to report that he had been robbed while riding the MUNI light rail. He stated that he had been seated on the bus with his cell phone in his hand when the suspect, a fellow passenger, approached him. The suspect punched the victim in the face and snatched his phone before getting off the bus and running away. An investigation into this incident led to the arrest of two suspects. One of the suspects, a 16 year old, was already in custody at the Juvenile Justice Center on separate charges, and on September 29th was booked on robbery and conspiracy charges. The second suspect was already in custody on another robbery charge at county jail. He was booked on this robbery and conspiracy as well. (SFPD Case No. 150808348)


Auto Theft Arrest– 1000 block Fitzgerald – 9/29/15, 6:10 pm:

Officers conducted a random record check of the license plate of a vehicle driving beside them and learned that the car had been reported as stolen. They stopped the car and arrested the driver. He was found to be in possession of hydrocodone pills and a scale along with several rocks of crack cocaine. The suspect was booked on auto theft and narcotics charges. (SFPD Case No. 150854523)


Robbery – 3rd / Palou – 9/29/15, 2:30 pm:

An 18 year old victim was walking along the street when he was approached by two suspects. One of the suspects grabbed the victim and held a knife to him while the other suspect ordered the victim to give up his property. The victim, in fear for his life, gave the suspects his phone and money. The suspects fled on foot. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150854272)


Homicide – 1100 block Oakdale – 9/29/15, 11:00 pm:

Officers responded to a report of shots fired and located a 24 year old male victim lying in the street. The victim was transported to SFGH where he unfortunately succumbed to grave injuries. The officers secured the crime scene and preserved all evidence. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150855292)


Hot Prowl Burglary Arrests – 1000 block Ingerson – 9/30/15, 9:50 am:

Officers responded to a call of a burglary in progress at a home. When the officers approached the home, they found the front door ajar. Suddenly, a suspect inside the residence slammed the door shut. The officers quickly set up a perimeter, knowing that the suspects were most likely going to exit through the rear of the residence. Their hunch proved true and the officers apprehended three suspects as they fled the scene from the rear of the house. A fourth suspect fled by entering another home with a resident inside where he tried to hide. The resident challenged the suspect at which point he fled through a window. He was apprehended by the police after a brief struggle. All four suspects were booked on multiple burglary and conspiracy charges. (SFPD Case No. 150856416)


Shooting – Palou / Quint – 9/30/15, 3:30 pm:

Officers responded to SFGH on a report of a gunshot victim walk-in. The officers learned through their investigation that the 19 year old male victim, an associate of a local street gang, had been standing in front of a fast food restaurant when he heard several shots and felt pain to his hand. When he realized that he had been shot in the hand, he arranged for a ride to the hospital. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150857414)


Robbery– 400 block Brussels – 9/30/15, 8:00 pm:

A 27 year old victim was walking home when he was approached by a suspect and told to come towards him. The victim, afraid for his safety, produced a knife and waved it at the suspects, and demanded to be left alone. The suspect reached into his waistband as if to produce a handgun which frightened the victim further. The victim turned and ran home. The suspect caught up with the victim and pushed him to the ground. He then stole the victim’s backpack from his shoulders and took off on foot. This incident is under investigation. Firearm Arrest – 1000 block Connecticut – 10/01/15, 1:00 am:

Officers patrolling the area of the Potrero Hill Housing Development in response to the recent shots fired incidents and other violent crimes spotted a suspect walking in the area while holding onto his waistband in a manner consistent with holding onto a weapon. The officers approached the suspects and immediately on seeing them, the suspect turned and fled. The officers gave chase and saw the suspect dump a handgun underneath a parked van before proceeding to flee. He eventually tripped and fell at which point he was apprehended. The loaded 40 caliber pistol with an extended magazine was located and seized from where the suspect discarded it. The suspect was found to be in possession of crack cocaine and was booked on weapons and narcotics violations. (SFPD Case No. 150858729)


Homicide Attempt Arrest – 1200 block Palou – 10/01/15, 2:45 pm:

Officers were driving in the area when they were flagged down regarding a stabbing that had just occurred on a MUNI bus. They found a 10 year old victim, who had been stabbed in the shoulder and hand, and immediately rendered first aid. Multiple witnesses were on scene to identify the suspect, who was still on the bus. She was placed under arrest and the weapon was recovered. The victim was transported to SFGH where he received treatment for his injuries. The crime scene was secured and all evidence was preserved. The suspect was booked on attempted homicide and aggravated assault charges. (SFPD Case No. 150860495)

Bayview Station holds community meetings with the Captain on the first Tuesday of each month.  The next Community meeting will be at 6PM on Tuesday, October 6th
