Bayview Station has four new Lieutenants and nine new Sergeants as a result of the most recent personnel rotation. We welcome their fresh perspectives as we continue to diligently serve the Bayview Community. They all look forward to meeting the residents of this great district!

We also congratulate the Bayview members who were recently promoted!

 

 Robbery Arrests– 1300 block Shafter – 9/27/15, 4:30 pm:

On September 18th at 3:00 pm, a 42 year old victim was riding the T-Line while holding her iPhone in her hand. Two suspects approached her from the rear of the coach. One of them snatched the phone from her hand and was able to take it from her after a brief struggle. Both suspects then got off the bus and fled on foot. An investigation into this incident led to the arrest of two suspects. One of the suspects, a 16 year old, was already in custody at the Juvenile Justice Center on separate charges, and on September 26th was booked on robbery charges. The second suspect was identified and a search warrant was obtained for his home. The officers located the suspect at home on September 27th along with evidence which was seized. The suspect was arrested and booked on robbery charges. (SFPD Case No. 150822627)


Robbery Arrest– San Bruno / Paul – 9/25/15, 6:20 pm:

A victim was standing in the area while talking on his cell phone when a suspect approached him and forcefully ripped the phone from his hand in front of multiple witnesses. The suspect fled on foot. The officers searched the area and located the suspect, who was positively identified and arrested. The stolen cell phone was found in his possession. The 16 year old suspect was booked on robbery and possession of stolen property charges. (SFPD Case No. 150842540)


Auto Burglary Arrest – 1200 block Shafter – 9/26/15, 2:00 pm:

Officers were flagged down by two victims who witnessed a suspect break into their car and steal a purse. The officers searched the area and located the suspect on the 1200 block of Revere and he immediately took off running. The officers gave chase. At one point one of the officers caught up with the suspect but during a violent struggle the suspect broke free and began hopping fences into various yards, climbed onto a roof, and began going from rooftop to rooftop as the officers secured a perimeter. The suspect was apprehended on the 1200 block of Shafter. He had items stolen in the auto burglary in his possession. The suspect was booked on auto burglary, possession of stolen property, and resisting arrest charges. (SFPD Case No. 150845196)


Firearm Arrest – 1200 block Mendel – 9/26/15, 8:30 pm:

Officers responded to the scene of an auto accident involving two parties. As they were investigating, they located a loaded 9mm handgun on the floorboard of one of the cars. The officers also determined that the serial number on the handgun had been altered. The suspect was arrested and booked on firearms violations. (SFPD Case No. 150845726)


Robbery – Wisconsin / Connecticut – 9/28/15, 8:50 am:

A 34 year old victim was waiting for the bus when a gray Toyota Camry drove up and stopped beside him. Three suspects got out. Two of the suspects held the victim as the third slashed at him with a knife, cutting the victim’s hand. The suspect removed the victim’s jacket and got back into the car, driving off. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150849659)


Shooting– 700 block Phelps – 9/28/15, 2:17 pm:

Officers responded on a call of shots fired and located a crime scene, which they preserved. They learned through their investigation that the victim was a 26 year old male employee of a business in the area. The victim had his car burglarized and on checking the surveillance footage, recognized the suspects. He decided to go look for the suspects himself as his coworker drove to the station to report the incident. During this time, the victim located the suspects who fired a gun at him during the altercation, wounding him. He was treated for his non life-threatening injury at SFGH. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150850521)


Burglary Arrest – 800 block Indiana – 9/28/15, 6:30 pm:

Officers responded to a call of a burglary in progress in the subterranean garage of an apartment building. They met with several witnesses who recognized the two suspects inside the garage from emails that were sent to the residents containing photo stills of the suspects that taken from security footage after the last wave of auto burglaries. The officers detained both suspects had located a boosted vehicle in the garage. The suspects had items that had been stolen from the car on their person and were arrested and booked on auto burglary and conspiracy charges. (SFPD Case No. 150851353)

9/25/15, 7:30 pm, 2100 3rd St, wallet stolen

9/25/15, 2:50 pm, 1200 Mariposa, gym bag stolen

9/25/15, 7:00 pm, Jennings / Quesada, silver Cadillac De Ville

9/27/15, 6:00 pm, 1500 block Underwood, red Pontiac GTO

9/29/15, 3:00 am, 1300 block Revere, silver Dodge Charger

Bayview Station holds community meetings with the Captain on the first Tuesday of each month.  The next Community meeting will be at 6PM on Tuesday, October 6th                  Bayview Station Community Room 201 Williams Avenue (Cross Street Phelps)
