Armed Robbery – 2200 block Jerrold – 9/21/15, 3:40 pm:

A 31 year old employee of a storage facility was robbed when a suspect entered her office, armed with a handgun. The suspect demanded money and the victim complied out of fear for her life by opening the cash register. After the suspect stole the money from the register, he snatched the victim’s purse and ran off on foot. The facility’s surveillance system captured the robbery. This incident is under investigation. Home Invasion Burglary Arrest– unit block Crane – 9/22/15, 2:10 am:

Officers responded to a house on a call of a panic alarm set off by the resident. They met with the 30 year old victim who stated that she was smoking outside her home when a suspect ran up to her while clutching his waistband as if her had a gun. The frightened victim backed into the inside of her home and the suspect followed her inside. The victim was able to wrestle the suspect out of the front door, slammed it, and set off her alarm. The officers located the suspects nearby seated in a parked car. He was positively identified and arrested. The suspect, a convicted felon on probation, was found to be in possession of ammunition and burglary tools. He was booked on multiple charges. (SFPD Case No. 150830614)

Robbery Arrest – Evans / Phelps – 9/22/15, 1:25 pm:

A 23 year old victim was driving his car when he got into a minor accident which a vehicle that had entered his lane. The victim got out to exchange information with the other party. The driver of the other car got out and began threatening the victim. The suspect then snatched the victim’s wallet from his hand. A third car pulled up to the suspect and he conversed with the occupants briefly. The two subjects in the third vehicle then got out and approached the victim’s car. They removed the victim’s backpack from the back seat, too it to their vehicle and drove off. The officers located witnesses to the accident and robbery and were able to locate the original suspect nearby. He was positively identified, arrested and booked on robbery and conspiracy charges. The investigation into the identities of the two additional suspects is ongoing. (SFPD Case No. 150832234)

Shots Fired – 800 block Arkansas – 9/18/15, 9:00 pm:

Officers responded to the area on a call of shots fired and located multiple spent shell casings in the street. A witness told the officers that a suspect was seen shooting at a vehicle driving in the area and described the car. The officers searched for the car, possible victims and suspect but were unable to locate any that night. No injuries were reported as result of this incident, which is under investigation. Firearm Arrest – 1800 block 25th – 9/24/15, 12:05 am:

Officers were patrolling on the Potrero Hill Housing Development in response to the recent shooting activity in the area. They rounded a corner and saw two subjects walking toward the street through an alley. One of the suspects had a mask on his face. As soon as the suspects saw the officers, they clutched their waistbands and took off running. Believing that the suspects were armed, the officers gave chase, splitting up as the suspects took different routes. The officer that was chasing the masked suspect watched him duck behind a car as he ran and heard the distinct noise of metal hitting the concrete. He eventually caught up to the suspect and tackled him to the ground. A search of the area where the suspects ducked and discarded something revealed two loaded 9mm handguns. The suspect, a documented gang member, was arrested and booked on weapons violations with a gang enhancement. The second suspect was lost in the area. An investigation into his identification is ongoing. (SFPD Case No. 150837121)

Auto Theft Arrest– Thornton / Latona – 9/22/15, 7:00 pm:

Officers stopped a car for a traffic violation and learned through a record check that the vehicle had been reported as stolen. The driver was placed under arrest and booked on auto theft charges. His passenger had over $30,000 in warrants and was also taken into custody. (SFPD Case No. 150835056)

Auto Theft Arrest – 20th / 3rd – 9/24/15, 2:30 am:

Officers responded to a call of a stolen vehicle and met with the victim who had seen the suspect pushing the victim’s Vespa scooter away from his place of business. The victim called to the suspect to return the vehicle to which the suspect muttered a threat and continued going. The officers searched the area and located the suspect and stolen scooter. The ignition had been damaged. The suspect, a convicted felon who was also in possession of burglary tools, was arrested and booked on auto theft, vandalism, probation violation, and other theft related charges. Narcotics Arrest– 1500 block Quesada – 9/24/15, 9:00 am:

Officers responded to a call of vandalism to a vehicle. The victim stated that he had seen the suspect scratching his parked car with a razor blade. The officers located the suspect nearby and he was positively identified by the victim. He was placed under arrest and a box cutter, which was used to scratch the victim’s vehicle, was found in his possession along with methamphetamine. The suspect was booked on vandalism and narcotics violations. (SFPD Case No. 150837789)

Recovered Firearm– Gilman / Giants Dr. – 9/24/15, 11:40 am:

Officers responded on a tip of a gun found in the area. The officers located the revolver in a concealed location and seized it. An investigation in the weapon’s possible use in any criminal activity is ongoing. (SFPD Case No. 150838135)

Firearm Arrest– Thornton / Latona – 9/24/15, 5:24 pm:

Officers began an investigation into a 16 year old probationer who was believed to be in possession of a handgun. The officers located the suspect in front of his home and on conducted a probation search of his person, located a loaded revolver in his waistband. The suspect was arrested and booked at the Juvenile Justice Center on weapons and probation violations. (SFPD Case No. 150838812)

Aggravated Assault– Quint / Drummond – 9/24/15, 6:30 pm:

A 35 year old victim was attacked by a suspect armed with a knife after an altercation. The victim had asked the suspect to move his vehicle, which had been blocking the alley, so that the victim could drive out. The suspect stabbed at the victim’s car several times and then attacked the victim with the knife, cutting his hand. The suspect then drove from the scene. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150839547)
