Robbery– LaSalle / Newhall – 9/14/15, 7:00 pm:

A 10 year old victim on the sidewalk riding his “balance wheel” when a car pulled up and a suspect got out. Te suspect approached the victim and ordered the child to get off the balance wheel. The victim complied and the suspect grabbed the balance wheel, got back into the car, and drove off. The victim ran home and told his mother what had occurred and she called the police. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150808310)


Robbery – LaSalle / 3rd – 9/14/15, 7:20 pm:

A 30 year old victim came to Bayview Station to report that he had been robbed while riding the MUNI light rail. He stated that he had been seated on the bus with his cell phone in his hand when the suspect, a fellow passenger, approached him. The suspect punched the victim in the face and snatched his phone before getting off the bus and running away. MUNI surveillance footage which may have captured the assault is pending. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150808348)


Narcotics, Warrant Arrest – 2500 block Marin – 9/15/15, 9:00 am:

Officers responded to a report of several subjects smoking drugs inside of a parked car. The officers located the vehicle in question and made contact with the occupants who were identified. One of the subjects had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He was taken into custody and searched. The officers located a baggie of methamphetamine in his backpack as well as smoking paraphernalia. The suspect was booked on his warrant and narcotics charges. His companions were identified, investigated, and released from the scene. (SFPD Case No. 150809471)


Firearm, Auto Theft Arrests – Bayshore / Carroll – 9/16/15, 12:52 am:

Officers were tracking a stolen vehicle and pinpointed it to a gas station. They attempted to detain the four occupants but the vehicle took off at a high rate of speed. Another unit spotted up the fleeing car as it sped through a residential neighborhood, indifferent to posted stop signs and traffic. Te officers did not chase the car in the interest of public safety, but continued to track it via notifications from the car’s activated GPS locator. The officers located the car when it stopped at Bosworth and Rotteck in the Ingleside district. The suspects ran from the vehicle but were all apprehended by responding units. During their investigation, the officers recovered large amounts of money, jewelry, and a loaded 9mm handgun. The suspects, two of which were documented gang members, were booked on firearm charges, possession of stolen property, and their respective parole and probation violations with a gang enhancement. Robbery Attempt – Ceres / Williams – 9/16/15, 3:20 pm:

A victim was walking in the area when a car with five occupants pulled up beside her. One of the occupants got out and grabbed the cell phone that the victim was holding. The victim did not let go of the phone and struggled with the suspect who eventually gave up after seeing a patrol car driving in the distance. The suspect got back into the car which then drove from the scene. (SFPD Case No. 150814163)


Auto Theft Arrest– unit block Napoleon – 9/17/15, 8:00 pm:

Officers located a motorcycle that had been reported as stolen and set up surveillance on it for a short time until the suspect returned to the bike. He removed the lock from the front tire, put a key in the ignition and began walking the bike away. The suspect was arrested and booked on auto theft charges. (SFPD Case No. 150810898)
