Aggravated Assault – 2900 block Hawes – 9/6/15, 8:00 pm:

A 42 year old victim was walking to a friend’s house when a car suddenly pulled up and a suspect jumped out waving a butcher knife. The suspect yelled at the victim while slashing the air with the knife. The victim ran to his friend’s house at which point the suspect got back in the car which drove from the scene. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150784550)


Shooting – 100 block Kiska – 9/8/15, 1:30 am:

Officers responded to a call of shots fired and located a 32 year old male victim who had sustained a gunshot wound to the elbow. The officers learned through their investigation that the victim was walking with some friends when he was approached by two suspects. One of the suspects pointed a handgun at the victim and fired. Both suspects ran from the scene. The officers secured the crime scene and preserved all evidence. One of the suspects in this incident, which is under investigation, has been identified and an arrest warrant is pending. (SFPD Case No. 150787128)


Aggravated Assault – Newcomb / Toland – 9/8/15, 3:30 am:

Officers met with a 49 year old victim, a security guard for a tow company, who told them that he was assaulted while clearing the street for deliveries to his company. He approached a suspect who he witnessed exit a car and dump some garbage onto the street. The victim asked the suspect to clean up the mess and move his vehicle. The suspect became irate and pulled a knife from his waistband. He brandished it at the victim, threatened him, and got into his vehicle. The suspect drove off. The officers located the suspect’s car unoccupied nearby and had it towed. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150787413)


Narcotics Arrest – 1500 block Oakdale – 9/8/15, 1:50 pm:

Officers noticed a suspect loitering on the front steps of a residence that they knew he did not reside at and asked him what he was doing there. He admitted that he had stopped to “snort” some drugs. The victim was detained, identified and investigated. The officers found powder cocaine and heroin on his person as well as paraphernalia for drug use. The suspect was arrested and booked on narcotics charges. (SFPD Case No. 150788477)


Auto Burglary Arrests – 1200 block Rankin – 9/9/15, 12:50 am:

Officers responded to an auto burglary where two suspects were seen breaking into a parked vehicle and fleeing the scene in a vehicle. The officers located the boosted car and made contact with a witness who provided security footage that captured the crime as it occurred. The officers located an address for owner of the victim vehicle and responded to the 2000 block of Oakdale in attempt to locate him. To the officers’ amazement, as they waited, the suspect vehicle pulled up to them and one of the suspects asked the officers for a cigarette. The officers immediately recognized both of the suspects and their car from the surveillance video and promptly placed both under arrest. The officers made contact with the victim who advised them regarding the items stolen from his car. The stolen property was located inside the suspects’ vehicle along with burglary tools. Both suspects were booked on auto burglary, possession of stolen property, and conspiracy charges. (SFPD Case No. 150787128)


Narcotics Sales, Firearm Arrest – Helena / Bayshore – 9/9/15, 10:55 pm:

Officers stopped a car for a traffic violation and made contact with the driver. The officers noticed the distinct, pungent odor of marijuana emanating from the passenger compartment of the car. A record check revealed that the suspect was on probation with a search condition. The officers conducted a search of the suspect and his vehicle. His passenger admitted to having marijuana in her purse which turned out to be ten individually wrapped bags of marijuana. She was placed under arrest. The officers located an additional large quantity of marijuana inside a backpack that was in the car along with a grinder and currency. The driver was arrested as well. An investigation into the incident led the officers to a home on the 300 block of Bridgeview for which they secured a search warrant. A search of the home revealed a 380 caliber pistol, a .40 caliber handgun, gun magazines, ammunition, holsters, and a ballistic vest. In addition, more marijuana was located along with electronic scales, packaging equipment, and more currency. The search of the residence also led to the arrest of a third suspect. All three suspects were booked at Bayview Station on their respective charges. (SFPD Case No. 150793288)
