Auto Theft Arrest – 5th / Berry – 8/27/15, 9:06 am:

An officer driving a patrol car equipped with an automated license plate reader was alerted to a stolen car driving beside him on N/B 280. He did not pursue the car in the interest of public safety, but broadcast the information to units in the area. The car was located by a Bayview unit as the suspect drove it in the area of 5th and Berry. They were successfully able to pull the car over and arrested the driver. He was found to have narcotics paraphernalia on his person and was booked for its possession as well as for auto theft. (SFPD Case No. 150750238)


Firearm Arrest – 200 block Cameron – 8/28/15, 7:08 pm:

Officers were patrolling when they recognized a subject walking down the street who they recognized as a documented “Osceola” gang member who was currently out on bail for a weapons arrest. The suspect saw the officers, grabbed his waistband and ducked down between two parked cars. The officers approached the suspect and saw him open the door of one of the parked cars and toss something inside. They detained the suspect and located the two loaded firearms, a 40 caliber and a 380, that he threw into the car. He was arrested and booked on the weapons charges. (SFPD Case


Auto Theft, Stolen Property Arrest – LaSalle / 3rd – 8/29/15, 3:40 pm:

Officers patrolling in the area noticed a subject driving a vehicle who they immediately recognized as wanted on aggravated assault and robbery charges. On seeing the officers, the suspect took off at a high rate of speed. The officers did not pursue the suspect but remained in the area and spotted him running on the 1000 block of Oakdale. The officers gave chase and were able to take the suspect into custody after a brief struggle. They located the vehicle he had been driving nearby and learned through a record check that it had been reported as stolen. The suspect was booked on auto theft, possession of stolen property, as well as his warrants. (SFPD Case No. 150757137)


Burglary Warrant Arrest – 1700 block LaSalle – 8/31/15, 3:20 pm:

Officers stopped a car for a traffic violation and made contact with the occupants. One of the passengers was determined t have a no bail burglary warrant for his arrest. He was arrested and booked. (SFPD Case No. 110358399)


Burglary Warrant Arrest – 1600 block 18th – 8/31/15, 4:40 pm:

Officers patrolling the area spotted a subject loitering on the corner. He was smoking in violation of the posted sign of the doorway he was near. The offices detained the subject, conducted a record check, and learned that he had an outstanding no bail warrant for burglary. The suspect was arrested and booked on his warrant.
