Robbery – 3rd / Armstrong – 8/20/15, 11:45 am:

A 55 year old victim was robbed as she walked towards the bus stop. Several subjects had just gotten off the bus and one of them approached her and yanked her purse from her arm. The victim fell to the ground and the suspect fled on foot. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150727306)


Aggravated Assault Arrest – San Bruno / Felton – 8/21/15, 8:00 am:

A 63 year old victim was assaulted as he stood at the corner. The suspect approached him and began yelling at him to apologize to the suspect’s little sister. The victim was not sure what he had done and had trouble understanding the suspect due to a language barrier. The suspect then grabbed the victim’s legs, picked him up, and slammed him to the ground. The suspect then fled along with his younger sister. Officers located multiple witnesses and located the 15 year old suspect and his 12 year old sister. The suspect was booed on aggravated assault charges at the Juvenile Justice Center and his sister was released to her parent. (SFPD Case No. 150729857)


Robbery, Aggravated Assault Arrest – 3rd / Quesada – 8/21/15, 2:53 pm:

On August 16th, a 22 year old victim was walking in the area when he saw a subject walking two pit bulls, one of which the suspect recognized as his own that he had lost. He approached the suspect and advised him that one of the dogs belonged to him and that he wanted it back at which point the suspect attacked him. The suspect punched the victim numerous times and suddenly, multiple other people jumped in as well and began striking the victim, while removing his property from his pockets. The suspect with the dogs then ordered the other dog to attack the victim. The dog bit the victim several times before all the suspects fled the area. He was treated for his injuries at SFGH.

One of the suspects in this incident was identified by the investigating officers. He was located as he sat in vehicle and detained without incident. The suspect, already on active probation with a search condition, was placed under arrest. He was booked on robbery, aggravated assault, and probation violation charges. (SFPD Case No. 150715602)


Aggravated Assault – 1800 block Egbert – 8/21/15, 10:00 pm:

A 27 year old victim was standing in front of his home when the suspect (the victim’s brother’s ex-girlfriend) approached him brandishing a gun. She ordered the victim to get his brother on the phone, threatening that something bad would happen if his brother did not reconcile with her. The victim did as the suspect asked and allowed his brother to speak with the suspect on the phone. When she was done, the suspect got into her car and left. An arrest warrant in this case is pending. (SFPD Case No. 150732929)


Shots Fired – 1000 block Palou – 8/21/15, 11:50 pm:

Officers responded to a call of shots fired and located several spent casing in the street. A witness advised that a suspect in a black Dodge Charger was seen firing rounds from his car window before driving off. The officers searched for the suspect, possible victims and/or damage but were unable to locate any that night. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident, which is under investigation. Auto Casing, Warrant Arrest – 20th / Vermont – 8/23/15, 7:45 pm:

Officers responded to a call of a subject casing vehicles in the area and located the suspect who matched the description provided. A record check revealed that the suspect had theft related warrants with bail amounts in excess of $65,000 he was arrested and booked on his warrants. (SFPD Case No. 150738494)


Attempted Homicide Arrest – 100 block Elmira – 8/21/15, 11:40 pm:

Officers responded to a call of a stabbing and located two victims, a 59 year old male and 56 year old female, who had each suffered multiple large lacerations. The suspect was the couple’s adult son who had attacked the victim’s with a sword after acting erratic for several days prior. Both victims were transported to SFGH where they were treated. The suspect was located at Bayshore and Thornton and was placed under arrest. He was booked on attempted homicide charges. (SFPD Case No. 150732929)


Firearm Arrest – Jerrold / Phelps – 8/22/15, 6:25 pm:

On August 20th, officers responded to a home on the 1700 block of LaSalle to conduct approbation search of a subject along with his probation officers, who believed him to be in violation of his probation stipulations. The suspect was not at home during the investigation. The officers located a 12 gauge shotgun, shotgun shells, a 9mm semi-automatic pistol, ammunition, as well as a large amount of cocaine, scales and packaging equipment. All of the contraband was seized. On August 22nd, Officers located the suspect as he sat inside of a vehicle in his driveway. He was taken into custody without incident and was booked on firearms, narcotics, and probation violation charges. (SFPD Case No. 150728774)


Auto Theft Arrest – Armstrong / Keith – 8/23/15, 7:20 pm:

Officers spotted a suspect getting out of the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle and thought it suspicious when he took off running on seeing them. A quick record check revealed that the vehicle had been reported as stolen. The officers gave chase and successfully apprehended the suspect. It was determined that the suspect was a parolee at large with two no bail warrants for his arrest. He was booked on auto theft charges along with his warrants. (SFPD Case No. 150738369)


Firearm Arrest – 1700 block Indiana – 8/23/15, 11:10 pm:

Officers saw a suspect walking his dog without a leash and approached him as he hurried the animal into a nearby parked car. A second suspect was standing directly beside the car and appeared to be with the dog owner. As the officers approached and began to speak with the subjects, they noticed a 9mm handgun on the ground behind one of the wheels of the suspect’s vehicle. Both subjects were detained and through record checks, both were determined to be convicted felons. The suspect were taken into custody and booked on firearms violations. (SFPD Case No. 150739050)


Narcotics Arrest – Quesada / 3rd – 8/24/15, 7:30 pm:

Officers stopped a car for a traffic violation and discovered that the driver was on active probation with a search condition. The officers advised that they would be conducting a probation search of the suspect and his vehicle. As soon as the suspect got out of the car, he took off running down the street. The officers gave chase and successfully overtook and apprehended the suspect. On his person, the officers located a bottle containing Alprazolam and marijuana. A search of the vehicle revealed additional Alprazolam, Seroquel, and codeine promethazine. The suspect was arrested and booked for the possession of controlled substances.
