Narcotics Arrest – 3rd / McKinnon – 8/7/15, 9:50 am:

Officers arrested three suspects, after witnessing them selling drugs, during a narcotics abatement operation. The officers observed the three suspects, all siblings, selling narcotics to individuals approaching the car they were sitting in., the officers also arrested the “buyers” who made the purchases. Te officers conducted a search of the suspects’ vehicle and located crack cocaine, marijuana, Oxycodone, and Viagra along with a scale. The suspects were booked on narcotics for sale and conspiracy charges. (SFPD Case No. 150686376)

Robbery, Auto Boost– Felton / San Bruno – 8/8/15, 1:20 am:

A 38 year old victim returned to her parked car to find two suspects removing her purse the vehicle’s smashed window. The victim grabbed at her purse at which point one of the suspects shoved her back. Both suspects then fled on foot west on Felton. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150689085)

Hot Prowl Burglary – 1800 block Keith – 8/9/15, 11:00 am:

A 63 year old victim came into his friend’s home and caught two burglars in the act. The victim was ordered to the ground where he was bound had his personal items removed from his pockets. The suspects eventually left and the victim remained restrained on the floor until his friend, the resident of the home, returned. It was reported that multiple items had been stolen from the residence. Crime Scene Investigations responded to the location to process the scene for evidence. This incident is under investigation. Robbery – Palou / Lane – 8/9/15, 1:50 pm:

A 23 year old victim was robbed while waiting for the bus. She had been approached by a suspect who grabbed the purse she had slung over her shoulder. The victim struggled with the suspect who then punched her and brandished a knife. The victim let go of the purse out of fear for her life and the suspect fled on foot. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150698810)

Robbery Attempt – 3rd / Revere – 8/9/15, 5:14 pm:

A 22 year old victim was standing in front of the library with his 61 year old mother when they were approached by a suspect who accused him of recording the suspect with a cell phone. The suspects then punched the victim in the face and then struck the victim’s mother in the arm. The suspect attempted to steal the phone away from the victim but was unsuccessful. The suspect fled on foot north on 3rd. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150693791)

Robbery Attempt– Mansell / San Bruno – 8/10/15, 12:10 am:

A 54 year old victim was waiting for the bus when a suspect approached him and ordered him to give up all his money. The victim told the suspect that robbing him was not going to be that easy at which point the suspect grabbed the victim and threw him to the ground and kicked him. The victim got up and struggled with the suspect who soon gave up and fled on foot. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150694664)

Shots Fired – Harbor / Northridge – 8/10/15, 7:15 pm:

Officers responded to a “Shot Spotter” activation and located multiple casings in the area. They secured the evidence and searched the area for possible victims, suspects and damage but were unable to locate any. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident, which is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150697351)

Shots Fired – Fitzgerald / Hawes – 8/10/15, 11:45 pm:

Officers responded on a call of a shooting and met with a victim who told them that his car had been shot at while he was driving. The victim stated that he heard several shots as he drove and felt something wiz past him. A survey of his vehicle revealed that it had in fact been damaged by gunfire. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident, which is under investigation (SFPD Case No. 150698020)

Text a Tip from your cellular phone – It’s still anonymous

Through computers with Internet capability, SFPD Operations personnel will view all tips received 24/7 and evaluate each one. If the tip is of an emergency nature, personnel will forward it immediately to the Department of Emergency Management for officer dispatch. They will forward all other tips for assignment to the appropriate investigative bureau or district station. Investigative units will have an Internet-capable computer at their disposal and will be able to text back and forth with the tipster based on a randomly assigned ID number that the system provided by Citizen Observer, Inc., supplies. The ID number is wholly confidential and is maintained in the company’s server.

PROCEDURE: Enter either TIP411 or 847411 in the “TO” field and the keyword SFPD in the “text field”, followed by the message.
