Aggravated Assault – Lane / Revere – 7/31/15, 11:00 pm:

Officers responded to a call of an altercation and found a 64 year old male victim with a head injury. The victim was uncooperative with the officers regarding what had occurred. A witness was located who saw a suspect approach the victim from behind and strike him. The victim then fell and hit his head on the sidewalk as the suspect fled. The victim was treated at SFGH for his injuries. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150667122)



Aggravated Assault – Felton / Bowdoin – 8/1/15, 2:30 am:

A 32 year old female victim had parked her car and was walking to her house when a vehicle with two suspects pulled up beside her. One of the suspects asked her if she liked bricks then proceeded to throw bricks at her. The victim was struck several times and fell to the ground as the suspect vehicle, a gray four door sedan, sped from the scene. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150667564)



DUI, Narcotics Arrest – Dakota / 23rd – 8/1/15, 11:10 pm:

Officers stopped a car for a traffic violation and determined that the driver displayed signs of marijuana intoxication when they spoke with him. The suspect admitted to having smoked marijuana prior to driving. The suspect failed several field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest. A search of his person revealed a marijuana cigarette as well as methamphetamine. After a blood draw, the suspect was booked on driving under the influence of narcotics and possession of narcotics charges. (SFPD Case No. 150670103)



Auto Theft Arrest – Hudson / Mendell – 8/2/15, 12:20 pm:

Officers had taken an auto theft report and were searching for the vehicle when they spotted the suspect driving the car at 3rd and LaSalle. They pulled the vehicle over and arrested the driver without incident. She was booked on auto theft charges. (SFPD Case No. 150671101)



Auto Theft Arrest – 700 block Jerrold – 8/2/15, 9:00 pm:

Officers attempted to stop a vehicle at Palou and Phelps for a traffic violation when it suddenly took off. They did not pursue the vehicle in the interest of public safety, but later located it parked with the suspect in the driver’s seat. A record check revealed that at the vehicle had been reported as stolen and that the suspect was on active felony probation. The suspect was arrested and booked on auto theft and probation violation charges. (SFPD Case No. 150666641)



Auto Burglary Arrest – 20th / Pennsylvania – 8/3/15, 3:15 am:

Officers responded to an auto burglary in progress and spotted the victim vehicle parked with one of the doors wide open. As the officers approached, they saw the door close. They located the suspect crouching in the rear seat. The officers noticed that the rear window had been smashed and items were strewn about the passenger compartment. The suspect was arrested and a search of his person revealed methamphetamine. He was booked on auto burglary, possession of burglary tools, as well as narcotics charges. (SFPD Case No. 150672955)



Robbery – 3rd / Palou – 8/3/15, 3:00 am:

A 36 year old victim was robbed while standing on the corner after a suspect approached him and punched him in the face. The victim fell to the ground at which point the suspect removed the victim’s cell phone and money prior to fleeing on foot. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150673022)



Firearm Arrest – Missouri / Turner Terrace – 8/3/15, 7:33 pm:

Officers spotted a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed throughout the Potrero Hill Housing Development and recognized the car and its driver from previous gang related contacts. They responded to the subject’s home on the unit block of Turner Terrace and spotted the vehicle hastily parked and unattended. The officers continued to observe the vehicle form an area of concealment until the suspect returned to the vehicle. He was detained and was confirmed to be on active parole with a search condition. A search of the vehicle revealed a loaded .40 caliber pistol. The suspect was arrested and booked. (SFPD Case No. 150675761)



Firearm Arrest – 100 block Nautilus – 8/3/15, 4:17 pm:

Officers investigating a suspect brandishing a firearm were able to locate him via his ankle monitoring device with the assistance of the suspect’s probation officer. He was located in the residence and detained while the home was searched. The officers located three rifles, a .22 caliber handgun, and a revolver along with ammunition. The suspect was arrested and booked on weapons and probation violation charges. (SFPD Case No. 150673323)



Recovered Firearm – 23rd / Illinois – 8/3/15, 8:50 pm:

A tipster contacted officers regarding an assault rifle that had been located. The officers met with the tipster and located the AK 47 rifle, which they seized. An investigation into the possible use of the weapon in any criminal activity is ongoing. (SFPD Case No. 150675755)



Robbery – Phelps / Donner – 8/3/15, 4:30 pm:

A 20 year old victim was walking in the area when she noticed that three suspects who were standing at the bus stop were staring at her. The victim passed the suspects at which point they began to follow her. The suspect caught up to the victim and one of them ripped the victim’s necklace from her neck. The suspects then fled on foot. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150674848)



Recovered Firearm – 3rd / McKinnon – 8/3/15, 11:30 pm:

Officers responded to the area regarding a tip of a suspect with a firearm. The officers detained two subjects who matched the description and searched the area. They located a loaded 9mm handgun concealed in the wheel well of a parked vehicle. The officers seized the weapon. The subjects were identified and released pending further investigation.
