Robbery– Oakdale / Lane – 7/17/15, 5:30 am:

A 26 year old victim was robbed by two suspects while walking in the area. The suspects approached him, pushed him against a van, and removed his property from his pockets prior to fleeing on foot. The victim reported the incident at Bayview Station the next day. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150625205)


Robbery Attempt – Sweeny / Bowdoin – 7/17/15, 9:40 am:

A 26 year old victim was walking to her car when an older gold colored vehicle pulled beside her. Two suspects got out and attempted to snatch the victim’s purse away from her. The strap broke but the victim was able to hold on to the bag. The suspects ordered the victim to surrender the purse to which she replied that she would not. The suspects then got back into the waiting vehicle which drove from the scene. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150621598)


Firearms Arrests – unit block Hudson – 7/17/15, 5:10 pm:

Four suspects were arrested and two firearms were recovered when officers responded to a call from a tipster regarding multiple subjects engaged in illegal activity. The officers located the suspects smoking marijuana inside a parked vehicle. They conducted a search of the car for additional drugs and located two loaded .40 caliber handguns inside the car. All four of the suspects were booked on weapons, narcotics and conspiracy charges. (SFPD Case No. 150622831)


Aggravated Assault Arrest – 1700 block Quesada – 7/17/15, 8:25 pm:

Officers entered a home to check on the well being of the occupants after hearing a commotion and crying coming from the open door of the residence. They located two female victims, ages 34 and 26, who had been attacked and were bleeding. They told the officers that they had been attacked by their neighbor. The suspect was located, arrested, and booked on aggravated assault and burglary charges. (SFPD Case No. 150623431)


Robbery – 3rd / LaSalle – 7/17/15, 10:10 pm:

A 51 year old victim was waiting for the bus when a suspect walked up to her and demanded money. The suspect struck the victim and stole the cash that the victim had been holding in her hand. The suspect then fled on foot. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150623641)


Aggravated Assault Arrest – Bayshore / Waterloo – 7/18/15, 12:45 pm:

Officers responded to a call of an assault that occurred on a MUNI coach and located two female victims, ages 53 and 25, who had been attacked on the bus by a male suspect for no apparent reason. The suspect was located down the street and was positively identified. He admitted to having struck the victims and then told the officer that if she came any closer, he would strike her as well. The suspect resisted arrest violently but was eventually taken into custody by several officers. He was booked on aggravated assault charges. (SFPD Case No. 150624984)


Armed Robbery – 1200 block Palou – 7/18/15, 9:24 pm:

Two victims, ages 35 and 28, noticed that a suspect had followed them off the bus they had been riding and was walking behind them. The suspect approached the victims, brandished a handgun, and demanded their property. Out of fear for their lives, the victims handed over their valuables and the suspect fled on foot. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150626407)


Burglary Arrest – unit block Flora – 7/20/15, 7/25/15:

Officers responded to a call of a burglary in progress of an unoccupied home. The reporting party was a neighbor who awoke to the sound of glass breaking next door. The officers located the suspect inside the building and placed her under arrest. The suspect was in possession of stolen property which was seized by the officers pending further investigation. The same suspect was arrested again burglarizing the same residence five days later. She was once again arrested and booked. (SFPD Case No. 150619963, 150646013)


Robbery – Silver / University – 7/20/15, 7:30 am:

A 30 year old victim was robbed of his backpack when three suspects approached him and ripped the bag from his shoulders as he walked home. The suspects fled on foot. The incident was reported four days later at Bayview Station. (SFPD Case No. 150643360)


Firearm Arrests – Ingalls / Donner – 7/20/15, 6:00 pm:

Officers stopped a car for a traffic violation and smelled a strong odor of marijuana from the passenger compartment when they approached the car. All five passengers were removed as the vehicle was searched for narcotics. The officers located a bag of marijuana as well as a loaded .38 caliber pistol in the car. The five suspects, all juveniles ranging in age from 16-17, were arrested and booked on narcotics, weapons, and conspiracy charges. (SFPD Case No. 150631848)


Armed Robbery – Felton / Girard – 7/21/15, 2:00 am:

Two victims, ages 21 and 26, had left a bar in the area and were walking down the street when they were approached by five suspects. One of the suspects accused one of the victims of hitting his friend and proceeded to strike the victim multiple times. The second victim attempted to intervene at which point the other suspects attacked him. One of the suspects then pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the victims. The suspect then snatched a CD that one of the victim’s was holding and all of the suspect fled on foot. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150632896)


Firearm Arrest – Vallejo – 7/22/15, 7:30 am:

After an investigation into a suspect believed to be involved in firearms and theft related criminal activity in the Bayview, officers were able to obtain a search warrant for the suspect and his residence in Vallejo. The officers responded to the home and detained the suspect as they conducted the search. The search revealed multiple stolen cell phones as well as a .45 caliber firearm as well as ammunition. The suspect, a convicted felon prohibited from possessing weapons, was arrested and booked on multiple charges including firearms offences and possession of stolen property charges. Robbery – Silver / Thomas – 7/22/15, 11:00 am:

A 49 year old victim was walking along the street when a suspect approached him and asked for some money. When the victim refused, the suspect struck him, causing the victim to fall to the ground. The suspect then removed the victim’s wallet from his pocked and fled on foot. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150641320)


Hot Prowl Burglary – 300 block Arkansas – 7/24/15, 10:00 pm – 7:00 am:

Officers responded to a call of a burglary and met with a resident who stated that someone had broken into his home while he was asleep. The victim explained that he had left a sliding glass door in his living room open before turning in for the night. When he woke up, he found that his wallet had been stolen. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150653137)


Shooting – unit block Turner Terrace – 7/24/15, 10:09 pm:

Officers responded to multiple shots being fired and located a crime scene with multiple shell casing and several parked vehicles damaged by gunfire. They located two female victims, ages 21 and 22, who had suffered non fatal gunshot wounds. Both were transported to SFGH where a third female victim, 23 years old, had been driven with a non-life threatening gunshot wound from the same incident. The crime scene was secured and all evidence was preserved. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150645388)


Carjacking – Evans / Middle Point – 7/25/15, 12:30 am:

A 22 year old victim came to Bayview Station and reported that he had been carjacked. He stated that he had been driving when the car directly in front of him suddenly stopped and two masked gunmen got out. The suspects approached the victim and ordered him out of his vehicle. They demanded his property but when the victim stated that all he had was the car, one of the suspects got into the driver’s seat and drove off in the victim’s vehicle. The stolen car was later located at Hawes and Hudson and was towed for evidence processing. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150645877)


Homicide Arrest– 100 block Apollo – 7/25/15, 5:35 am:

Officers responded to a call of a shooting and located a 42 year old female victim. The victim had suffered a fatal gunshot wound. The suspect was identified and later arrested. (SFPD Case No. 150646217)


Auto Burglary Arrest – 3rd / 19th – 7/25/15, 9:41 pm:

Officers responded to a call of an auto boost. They met with the witness who stated that he observed a suspect break into a vehicle and remove a bag from the car prior to fleeing the scene. The officers searched the area and located the suspect who was positively identified by the witness. The suspect still had the bag stolen from the boosted vehicle in his possession. He was booked on auto burglary and possession of burglary tools charges. (SFPD Case No. 150648489)


Shooting – unit block Espanola – 7/26/15, 12:00 am:

A 41 year old male victim was shot in the area and transported himself to SFGH where he was treated for his non life threatening injuries. The officers located and preserved the crime scene and obtained witness statements. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150648956)


Aggravated Assault, Possession of Stolen Property Arrest – 2300 block San Bruno – 7/26/15, 2:09 pm:

A victim of an auto burglary that occurred in San Jose was notified that his iPad, which had been stolen, had been turned on in a motel in Oakland. The victim began tracking his iPad and following its signal in his car as it moved from the motel into San Francisco and finally stopped at a gas station on the 2300 block of San Bruno. The victim spotted several suspects in a vehicle manipulating some laptops. The victim called the police and an officer responded to the scene. When the officer approached the suspect vehicle to conduct an investigation, the driver accelerated and drove straight at the officer, narrowly missing striking him with the car. Other officers responded to search for the vehicle which still contained stolen iPad. The officers tracked the iPad to Geneva and Santos where the suspect vehicle was located. The two suspects were placed under arrest. A search of the vehicle revealed over 90 items of property believed to have been stolen n auto burglaries throughout the Bay Area. These items included cell phones, laptops, tablets, cameras and wallets. The suspects were booked on multiple counts of possession of stolen property violations with additional charges pending the outcome of the ongoing investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150650519)


Attempted Homicide Arrest – 25th / Dakota – 7/26/15, 3:09 pm:

Officers responded to a shooting and located a 40 year old female victim who had suffered a gunshot wound. She was transported to SFGH and treated for her injuries. The suspect was identified, located and arrested. He was booked on attempted homicide charges. (SFPD Case No. 150650503)


Robbery Attempt – Evans / Rankin – 7/27/15, 7:10 pm:

A 25 year old victim was waiting for the bus when a suspect began to harass her about giving him a cigarette. The victim refused to give the suspect a cigarette but eventually submitted in hoped that he would leave her alone. When the MUNI coach came, both the victim and suspect got on. The suspect continued to verbally berate the victim and threatening her. The victim pulled out her phone to call for help at which point the suspect shoved her down and attempted to steal her phone. Some passengers intervened and were able to get the suspect off the victim. The suspect then got off the bus and fled. The officers, through their investigation, were able to identify the suspect. An arrest warrant in this case is pending. (SFPD Case No. 150654408)


Home Invasion Robbery – 1900 block Donner – 7/27/15, 11:20 pm:

Officers responded to a burglary that had just occurred. They met with the 79 year old victim who told them that she was moving garbage cans outside of her home when she heard someone inside her house. She went inside and noticed someone hiding behind her curtains. The suspect then charged out and ran towards her. The victim attempted to grab her phone but the suspect shoved her, causing her to fall and hit her head against a dresser. The suspect then fled the scene. An inventory of the home revealed that the suspect had stolen the victim’s purse and cell phone. Officers searched the area and located a suspect who matched the description provided but he could not be immediately identified. He was identified and released pending further investigation. Auto Theft, Stolen Credit Cards Arrest – Cesar Chavez / Connecticut – 7/28/15, 12:00 am:

Officers conducted a record check on a “zip car” being driven in the area after being briefed that “zip cars” theft had been on the rise throughout the city. The record check confirmed that the car had in fact been reported as stolen. They stopped the car and arrested the driver. The suspect had multiple ID cards and credit cards in various names on her person. These cards were determined to have been reported as stolen. The suspect was booked on auto theft and possession of stolen property charges. (SFPD Case No. 150652208)
