  Shots Fired – Wisconsin / 23rd – 7/1/15, 10:25 am:

Officers responded to a call of shots fired and located a parked vehicle that had been hit by gunfire. They located a witness who was able to provide a description of the suspect. The officers searched the area for possible victims, additional damage but could not locate any. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident, which is under investigation.  (SFPD Case No. 150572571)


Robbery Arrest– 3rd / Thomas – 7/1/15, 10:45 pm:

A 34 year old victim was approached by two suspects who ordered him to give up his iPhone. One of the suspects punched the victim several times and attempted to wrestle the victim’s cell phone away from him. The victim resisted and was able to break free and run away, retaining his cell phone. The victim stopped a passing officer and reported the incident. The officer searched the area with the victim and was able to locate one of the suspects who was placed under arrest and booked. The suspect had a no bail warrant for his arrest for another theft related crime. The investigation into the identity of the second suspect is ongoing. (SFPD Case No. 150574975)


Narcotics Arrest– Newhall / McKinnon – 7/2/15, 9:50 am:

Patrolling officers spotted a subject smoking what appeared to be a crack pipe while sitting on the corner. They detained the suspect and confirmed that the narcotics pipe in his possession did in fact contained crack cocaine. The suspect was arrested on narcotics violations.  (SFPD Case No. 150575741)


Narcotics Arrest– 3rd / Newcomb – 7/3/15, 8:22 am:

Officers detained a suspect who was lying on the sidewalk directly under a “no loitering” sign. They recognized the suspect from multiple previous narcotics related arrests. The suspect admitted to having a crack pipe in his possession which he surrendered to the officers. He was cited for the violations. (SFPD Case No. 150578632)


Robbery– Silver / Boylston – 7/3/15, 3:40 pm:

An 18 year old victim was robbed while walking with his iPhone in his hand. The victim was approached by two suspects, one of which punched him in the face and snatched his phone. Both suspects fled on foot. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150579696)


Firearm Arrest – 500 block Ellington – 7/3/15, 4:00 pm:

Officers were contacted by a probation officer who requested that they conduct a probation search of a suspect who had been previously arrested for firearms violations. The officers responded to the suspect’s home and detained him as they conducted the search. They found a loaded .40 caliber handgun on the suspect’s person. He was booked on firearms offences as well as probation violation. (SFPD Case No. 150580041)


Firearm Arrest – unit block Matthew – 7/4/15, 5:00 pm:

Officers conducted a search warrant on the home of a suspect believed to be in possession of a firearm. The suspect was not on scene but the search of the home revealed a loaded 38 special revolver. The weapon was seized and an arrest warrant is pending in this case. (SFPD Case No. 150582514)


Armed Robbery– Dakota / 25th – 7/4/15, 5:17 pm:

A 41 year old victim was robbed of his iPhone while he rode on a MUNI coach. He told the officers that the two suspects, fellow passengers on the bus, snatched his phone from him when the bus stopped. The suspect ran off the bus and the victim got up to give chase. The second suspect prevented the victim from following by brandishing a handgun at him. This suspect also fled on foot. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150582558)


Homicide– 1000 block Connecticut – 7/4/15, 11:07 pm:

Officers responded to a call of a possible shooting and located a 26 year old male victim who had sustained a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to SFGH but succumbed to his injuries. The officers secured the crime scene and preserved all evidence. This incident is under investigation.  (SFPD Case No. 150583227)


Burglary Arrest– 19th / DeHaro – 7/5/15, 3:15 pm:

Officers responded to a call of a burglary in progress where the suspect was seen attempting to break into a building with a crowbar. The officers located the suspect at the scene and placed him under arrest. The crowbar that he used in an attempt to gain entry into the home was located as well and seized. The suspect was positively identified by the witness and was booked on burglary charges.  (SFPD Case No. 150584899)


Robbery– 1500 block Innes – 7/6/15, 12:15 am:

A 28 year old victim was walking in the area when a suspect approached him and demanded all of his money as he pressed a knife to the victim’s torso. The victim, fearing for his life, handed the suspect his wallet. The suspect fled on foot. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150586168)


Armed Robbery– 1400 block Palou – 7/6/15, 4:40 am:

Two victims, ages 23 and 30, were seated in a parked vehicle when their car was approached by two suspects. One of the suspects yanked the victim in the driver’s seat out and struck him several times while the other suspect pointed a gun at the victim in the passenger seat and demanded his wallet. The victim complied and handed the suspect his wallet at which point both suspects fled the scene on foot. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150586378)
