Firearms Arrest– unit block Nichols – 6/7/15, 3:20 pm:

Officers were able to obtain a search warrant for a subject and his residence after an investigation into his involvement  in the illegal sales of firearms. The suspect was located outside of his home and detained as the search of his residence was conducted. The officers recovered a 22LR rifle inside the home along with a flack jacket. Inside the suspect’s car, the officers recovered, an assault rifle, and AR-15 rifle, and a 9mm semi automatic pistol along with ammunition and magazines. The suspect was arrested and booked on weapons for sale charges. (SFPD Case No. 150529362)

Robbery Attempt Arrest – 24th / Potrero – 6/21/15, 10:15 pm:

A 31 year old victim was riding a MUNI bus when it stopped on 24th and Potrero and two suspects got on. As he got off the bus, they followed him. One of the suspects questioned the victim about the color of the belt and why he was wearing it. When the victim refused to take off the belt, one of the suspects lifted his shirt, revealing what appeared to be the butt of a gun, and threatened to kill the victim. Out of fear, the victim began removing the belt at which point the other suspect ordered him to give up his wallet. The victim searched for his wallet and was unable to find it at which point the suspects fled on foot. The victim called the police from the 200 block of Bayshore and Bayview units arrived. The officers’ investigation led them to the arrest of a subject who was identified as one of the suspects involved. He was booked on attempted armed robbery charges. The investigation into the identity of the second suspect is ongoing. (SFPD Case No. 150542035)

Auto Burglary Arrest– 1900 block Newcomb – 6/23/15, 11:00 am:

Officers responded on a call of an auto burglary in progress after a witness called the incident in and described the multiple suspect involved. Officers located and detained two suspects as soon as they came on scene. A fourth suspect, on seeing the officers, fled into a waiting vehicle which from the scene. Another set of officers located the vehicle at Cesar Chavez and Evans, where they detained both occupants. The offices at the scene located a total of five burglarized vehicles and located multiple witnesses. All of the suspects were positively identified and arrested. The suspects were found to have burglary tools in their possession. They were booked on auto burglary, possession of burglary tools, and conspiracy charges.  (SFPD Case No. 150546338)

Robbery Arrest– 200 block Texas – 6/23/15, 4:30 pm:

A 25 year old victim was waiting at the bus stop while holding her cell phone in her hand when she was approached from behind by the two suspects. Both suspects grabbed at the victim’s phone and violently yanked it from her. The suspect then ran off and got into a waiting vehicle which drove from the scene.  The responding officers used the victim’s iPhone tracking app to zero in on the location of the suspects. The officers followed the signals until they got to Ingalls and Harbor, located the suspects’ car, and affected a traffic stop. One of the occupants in the vehicle was identified as being involved in the robbery and was placed under arrest. The stolen phone was located inside the vehicle. Other officers searching the area located a second suspect, also identified, at 16th and Owens and placed him under arrest. Both suspects were booked on robbery and conspiracy charges. Stabbing – 3rd / Williams – 6/23/15, 5:30 pm:

A 49 year old male victim came to Bayview Station with several stab wounds that he sustained after getting off the T-Line with the suspect. The victim explained that he and the suspects had exchanged words while on the train and as soon as they got off, the suspect stabbed the victim several times in the arm before running off. The victim was treated as SFGH for his injuries. This incident is under investigation.  (SFPD Case No. 150547659)

Armed Robbery – 200 block Dwight – 6/23/15, 2:07 pm:

A 30 year old victim was robbed when she walked out of her home and preceded down the street. A car pulled up beside her and a suspect got out. He approached the victim and violently yanked her purse from her shoulder. The suspect then got back into the waiting vehicle which fled the scene. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150547013)

Shots Fired – Gilman / Griffith – 6/24/15, 11:50 pm:

A ride-share service driver had his vehicle shot at as he drove under the footbridge at Gilman and Griffith. He was not injured but his vehicle sustained damage from the gunshots. Officers responded to the area and searched for any possible suspects, victims, and additional damage but were unable to locate any that night. This incident is under investigation. Robbery – 18th / Carolina – 6/25/15, 11:15 pm:

A 39 year old victim was walking in the area while holding his cell phone in his hand when he noticed a suspect walking towards him at a brisk pace. The victim became alarmed and increased his waling speed as well at which point the suspect caught up and struck the victim in the back of the head. The suspect stole the victim’s phone and got into a waiting vehicle which drove from the scene. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150555066)

Bayview Station holds community meetings with the Captain on the first Tuesday of each month.  The next Community meeting will be on Tuesday, July 7th, at 6 PM
