Armed Robbery – Quesada / Griffith – 5/9/15, 7:30 pm:

A 21 year old victim was robbed of his video camera while filming some friends skateboarding in the area. The victim stated that he noticed two suspects watching him from a parked car for several minutes before one of the suspects approached him, brandished a handgun, and demanded the camera. The victim, fearing for his life, surrendered the camera to the suspect. Both suspects fled in their vehicle. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150405580)


Auto Theft Arrest – Dakota / 23rd – 5/12/15, 12:07 pm:

Officers arrested a suspect on auto theft charges after pulling him over for a traffic violation and conducting a record check of the vehicle’s plate. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and was booked on auto theft and possession of stolen property charges (SFPD Case No. 150412767)


Shooting – unit block Turner Terrance – 5/12/15, 3:45 pm:

Officers responded to a call of a shooting and located a crime scene along with a 36 year old male victim of a gunshot wound inside of a vehicle. He was transported to SFGH where a second gunshot victim (26 year old male), from the same incident, had walked in for treatment after taking himself to the hospital. The officers secured the scene and preserved all evidence. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150413436)


Robbery Arrest – 1500 block Silver – 5/13/15, 7:10 am:

A 53 year old victim was robbed while walking in the area when a suspect approached her and forcefully yanked the backpack that she had been carrying away from her, throwing her to the ground. The suspect then fled into a waiting vehicle. The vehicle and the suspect were located later that day in the area of Jamestown and 3rd where he was arrested. The suspect was booked on robbery charges. (SFPD Case No. 150415197)


Auto Theft Arrest – 1200 block Egbert – 5/14/15, 7:50 am:

Officers searching the area for an auto boost suspect came upon a subject seated in a parked vehicle that had a smashed window. The subject had a shaved vehicle key in his possession and was unable to tell the officers who the vehicle belonged to. The officers contacted the registered owner of the car and determined that the vehicle had been recently stolen. The suspect was booked on auto theft charges and possession of stolen property charges.  (SFPD Case No. 150418135)


Robbery – 1100 block Palou – 5/14/15, 10:30 pm:

A 71 year old taxi cab driver was robbed by a fare that he had picked up on the unit block of Dakota. The victim stated that as they were approaching their destination the suspect produced a knife, reached over from the backseat, and placed the victim in a headlock. She cut the victim’s face with the knife as she demanded his property. The victim stopped the cab and attempted to fight the suspect off. She finally fled the cab after taking the victim’s cell phone and money. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150421194)
