On April 22nd at 12:43 pm, officers responded to a call of shots fired on the unit block of Osceola. They arrived to find nearly two dozen people scattering in different directions as well as some shell casings in the street. The officers secured the crime scene and located a 9mm handgun underneath a parked car. Through their investigation, they were able to determine that at least one victim had been driven to SFGH. Officers responded to the hospital where they located two male victims, ages 23 and 25, who were injured in the shooting. Each had been driven to the hospital in separate vehicles. The officers obtained witness statements and preserved all evidence that was collected and processed by Crime Scene Investigations. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150350866)

Auto Theft Arrest:

On April 23rd at 3:00 pm, officers stopped a car for a traffic violation on the 4800 block of 3rd St. A record check revealed that the vehicle had been reported as stolen out of Oakland. The unlicensed driver was placed under arrest without incident. He was booked at Bayview Station on auto theft and possession of stolen property charges. (SFPD Case No. 150354670)

Narcotics Arrest:

On April 24th at 2:20 am, officers stopped a car for a traffic violation at 16th and Mississippi. As they approached the vehicle, they noticed the driver reach behind him and place something into the middle rear seat crease. Their investigation revealed that the driver had a suspended license and was on probation for auto theft with a search condition. He also had a $10,000 narcotics warrant for his arrest. The suspect was taken into custody and a search of his person and vehicle was conducted. The officers located a plastic box wedged in the rear seat crease. The box contained six bags of methamphetamine packaged in a manner consistent with sales of narcotics. The suspect was booked on narcotics and probation violation charges at Bayview Station along with his warrant. (SFPD Case No. 150356115)


On April 24th at 6:30 pm, a 42 year old victim was robbed on the unit block of Somerset. She told the responding officers that she was outside of her home retrieving mail from her mailbox when two suspects ran up to her. One of them forcefully pulled her purse off her shoulder causing her to spin and face the suspects. As she did so, the second suspect grabbed her by the arm and threw her to the ground. Both suspects then fled on foot. The victim’s wallet was later located at San Bruno and Felton where it had been discarded. The officers located a witness to the incident as well as video footage from a camera in the area that may have captured the suspects fleeing. This incident is under investigation. Armed Robbery:

On April 25th at 10:55 am, a 29 year old victim was robbed at Innes and Earl. He told the responding officers that he was walking in the area while talking on his cell phone when a suspect approached the victim while brandishing a handgun. He ordered that the victim surrender his phone and empty his pockets. Out of fear for his life, the victim complied. The suspect then fled west on Innes. The officers searched the area for the suspect but were unable to locate him that day. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150360768)

Aggravated Assault:

On April 25th at 10:30 pm, officers responded to a call of an aggravated assault that occurred at 3rd and Palou. The victim told the officers that the incident occurred at 9:00 pm after he got into an argument with a suspect after getting off the bus. The victim attempted to walk away but the suspect followed him across the street. The suspect kicked the victim multiple times causing him to fall to the ground. The suspect then struck the victim in the face multiple times with his fists before fleeing the scene. The victim suffered severe facial injuries and was transported to SFGH for treatment. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150361681)

Auto Burglary Arrest:

On April 26th at 5:15 pm, officers respond to a call of an auto burglary that had just occurred on the 200 block of Pennsylvania. The suspects were seen removing a purse from a parked car and running from the scene. The responding officers located the boosted vehicle as well as its owner, who confirmed that her purse had in fact been stolen. Another unit searching the area for the suspects located two subjects, who matched the broadcast description, at Minnesota and 20th. One of them had a window punch in his possession. The suspects were identified by a witness. The victim’s purse was found discarded over a chain link fence nearby. Both suspects were cited for auto burglary, possession of burglary tools and conspiracy. (SFPD Case No. 150363819)

Bayview Station holds community meetings with the Captain on the first Tuesday of each month.  The next Community meeting will be on Tuesday,  May 5th, at 6 PM
