Robbery Arrest:

On April 15th at 10:05 am, a 42 year old victim was robbed at San Bruno and Silver. The victim was walking to the bus stop when a suspect approached her and grabbed her purse. The victim attempted to hold onto the purse by its strap but the force that the suspect used to yank it away from her caused her to fall to the ground. The suspect then dragged the victim along the ground and into the street until the strap broke. He then fled into a waiting vehicle which sped from the scene nearly hitting the victim in the roadway. The officers obtained the vehicle description and license plate information from a witness to the robbery and broadcast the information to the units in the area. The suspect vehicle was located on the 1000 block of Newhall along with three suspects. The vehicle was positively identified by the witness. The suspect who committed the robbery was also identified. The victim’s stolen property was recovered from inside the car along with a BB gun and ammunition. All three suspects were arrested and booked on their respective charges that included robbery, aggravated assault, and conspiracy at Bayview Station. (SFPD Case No. 150328192)

Firearm Arrest:

On April 15th at 11:40 pm, officers stopped a car for a traffic violation in the area of 3rd and Evans. As the officers approached the vehicle, they immediately detected the odor of burnt marijuana emanating from the car. The driver was searched and was found to be in possession of marijuana. He also admitted to the officers that he had a gun in the trunk of the car. The officers located a loaded shotgun in the trunk of the vehicle which they seized. The suspect was cited on weapons and narcotics violations. (SFPD Case No. 150330517)

Auto Burglary Arrest:

On April 16th at 2:45 am, offices responded to 19th and San Bruno on a report a two suspects breaking into a parked vehicle. They located the boosted car on the 600 block of San Bruno and began to search the area for the suspects. The officers located the two suspects, who matched the broadcast description, walking into the area of 20th and Vermont. On seeing the officers, the suspects began discarding items onto the nearby hillside. They were detained and the items were recovered. They turned out to be the owner’s manual and the registration card of the burglarized vehicle. Both suspects were on active probation and were placed under arrest. The officers located various burglary tools in their possession. Both suspects were booked on auto burglary, possession of burglary tools, conspiracy, and probation violation charges at Bayview Station. (SFPD Case No. 150330692)

Hot Prowl Burglary:

On April 16th at 12:30 pm, a resident of the 500 block of Arkansas was in his bedroom when he heard his door bell ring several times. He had a camera mounted outside of his front door and checked the live feed remotely. He did not recognize the subject at the door and ignored the bell, assuming it was a solicitor. The victim then heard banging and other loud noises and realized that the suspect had entered the home. He walked out of his bedroom and called out, startling the intruder. The suspect then fled the residence out of the front door. The victim looked out of the window and saw the suspect enter a waiting beige colored sedan that drove from the scene. Crime Scene Investigations responded to collect any evidence that the suspect may have left behind. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150332187)

Robbery Arrest:

On May 25th, robbery occurred on the 1000 block of Point Lobos in the Richmond district after a victim observed two suspects burglarizing his vehicle. The victim confronted the suspects and one of them assaulted him before both suspects fled the scene in their get-away vehicle. The victim reported the incident to police and provided them with the suspects’ description and license information for their vehicle.

On April 16th at 3:40 pm, Bayview Officers spotted the suspect parked on the 1600 block of Quesada, which they recognized from a department “wanted” bulletin. As they waited for the tow truck, a suspect approached them and inquired as to the reason his vehicle was being towed. The suspect, who was on current probation and matched the description of one of the robbery suspects, was arrested and booked at Bayview Station on auto burglary, robbery, and probation violation charges. Bayview Station holds community meetings with the Captain on the first Tuesday of each month.  The next Community meeting will be on Tuesday,  May 5th, at 6 PM
