Robbery Attempt:

On March 30th at 10:00 pm, officers responded to the unit block of Reddy on a report of a robbery attempt. They met with the 22 year old victim who stated that he had been walking in the area when two suspects approached him and ordered him to empty his pockets. The victim did not have anything in his pockets which upset the suspects. One of the suspects punched the victim in the face before running off on foot. The officers searched the area for the suspects but were unable to locate them that night. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150281142)


Armed Robbery:

On March 30th at 11:00 pm, a 20 year old victim was robbed at Carolina and 22nd. He told the responding officers that he had been taking photographs in the area when a suspect approached him and ordered him to surrender his camera. The victim initially refused but then the suspect threatened to shoot him if he did not comply. Out of fear for his life, the victim handed the suspect his camera and the suspect fled on foot. No gun was seen. The officers searched the area for the suspect but were unable to locate him that night. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150281249)


 

Shooting:

On March 30th at 11:20 pm, officers responded to the 1200 block of Fitzgerald on a call of shots fired in the area. They located a MUNI bus stopped at Fitzgerald and Ingalls and found a 32 year old male gunshot victim inside. He told the officers that he had been walking home when he heard gunshots and realized that he had been hit in the leg. He then ran to the bus and got on to wait for assistance. The victim was transported to SFGH for treatment. The officers located a crime scene in the 1200 block of Fitzgerald where a parked vehicle had sustained gunshot damage. The crime scene was secured and all evidence was preserved. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150281318)


 

Robbery Arrest:

On January 9th, a 39 year old victim was walking on the 1000 block of Carolina when two suspects approached him and demanded his property under the threat of killing him if he failed to surrender his things. The suspects stole the victim’s backpack and rifled through his pockets before fleeing on foot. The subsequent investigation revealed the identity of one of the suspects. He was located on March 31st at 7:20 pm at his home on the unit block of Dakota. The suspect was taken into custody and booked on robbery and conspiracy charges. An investigation into the identity of the second suspect is ongoing. (SFPD Case No. 150027485)


 

Narcotics Arrest:

On March 31st at 8:42 pm, plainclothes officers were patrolling in the area of 3rd and La Salle, an area plagued with narcotics activity and other crime. They spotted a suspect sitting in a parked vehicle that they recognized from previous contacts and knew to be a parolee with a search condition. The officers conducted a parole search of the suspect and his car which revealed multiple rocks of crack cocaine and 34 capsules of amphetamine along with a digital scale and package materials. The suspect was placed under arrest and booked at Bayview Station on narcotics charges. (SFPD Case No. 150284607)


 

Armed Robbery:

On April 1st at 2:32 pm, a 30 year old victim was robbed on the 1700 block of La Salle. He told the responding officers that he had been walking to the corner store when a suspect approached him brandishing a handgun. The suspect struck the victim on the back of the head with the butt of the gun and ordered him to give up his belongings. The victim handed his wallet over to the suspect who then instructed the victim to walk away. The victim complied and pulled out his cell phone as he walked to call the police. The suspect then ran back up to him, snatched the phone out of his hand, and took off on foot. The officers searched the area for the suspect but were unable to locate him that day. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150285097)
