Firearm Arrest:

On March 27th at 10:13 pm, officers patrolling on the 1800 block of 25th spotted a subject standing on the corner that they recognized from prior contacts and knew to be a documented gang member. The suspect was holding on to an item in his waistband and looking around as he walked towards a car. The suspect got into the vehicle at which point the officers approached him. They smelled marijuana emanating from the vehicle and detained the suspect pending their investigation. A pat search of his person revealed a loaded .40 caliber handgun. He was placed under arrest and booked on weapons violations at Bayview Station. (SFPD Case No. 150269972)


Robbery, Attempted Homicide Attempt:

On March 27th at 7:12 pm, officers responded to the 300 block of Wayland on a call of a stabbing. They were flagged down near the scene by a witness who saw the direction of flight for the two suspects and provided a description to the officers. They broadcast this information to additional responding units and continued to search for the victim. They found the 66 year old male victim at Wayland and Brussels. He had been stabbed in his chest and abdomen. He was transported to SFGH for treatment. The officers secured the crime scene and obtained witness statements. Officers searching the area for the suspects located one suspect who matched the description on the 2600 block of Phelps and the other suspect on Bacon at San Bruno. Each had blood evidence on his person. Both suspects were placed under arrest. During an interview with an inspector, one of the suspects admitted to robbing the victim along with his accomplice. Both suspects were booked on attempted homicide, robbery, and conspiracy charges. (SFPD Case No. 150271563)


Firearm Arrest:

On March 28th at 12:45 pm, officers received a tip of a subject who had been seen brandishing a firearm in front of her home on the 1700 block of LaSalle. The suspect was identified and a search warrant was obtained for her residence. The officers served the warrant and located the loaded .40 caliber pistol concealed under the kitchen sink. The weapon had an obliterated serial number. The suspect, a convicted felon prohibited from possessing weapons, was placed under arrest and booked at Bayview Station on multiple weapons charges. Shooting:

On March 28th at 9:55 pm, officers responded on a call of a shooting that occurred at Newcomb and Lane. They located a 23 year old male victim with a gunshot wound to the shoulder who was transported to SFGH for treatment. The officers secured the crime scene, obtained witness statements and preserved all evidence. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150275173)


Auto Theft Arrest:

On March 29th at 3:00 pm, officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation at Marin and Bayshore. A record check revealed that the car had been reported as stolen out of Pittsburgh. The driver was placed under arrest and was booked at Bayview Station on auto theft and possession of stolen property charges. (SFPD Case No. 150277179)

Bayview Station holds community meetings with the Captain on the first Tuesday of each month.
