Firearm Arrest:

On March 17th at 9:20 am, officers responded to the 1800 block of Palou on a call of shots fired. They met with multiple witnesses who stated that a neighbor was seen shooting off a gun while yelling and screaming in the street. The officers found a parked van that had been damaged by multiple rounds of gunfire nearby. They located the suspect, who was positively identified, near his home on the 1500 block of Quint. The suspect admitted to firing the gun and told the officers that he had put the weapon away inside his bedroom. The officers obtained a search warrant for the suspect’s residence. The 9mm UZI assault weapon was found inside a backpack in the suspect’s bedroom. He was booked at Bayview Station on multiple weapons and firearm discharging violations. (SFPD Case No. 150236971)

Firearm Arrest:

On March 21st at 7:30 am, officers patrolling in the area of Newhall and LaSalle spotted a vehicle obstructing the sidewalk on the 1100 block of Newhall. A subject was seated in the driver’s seat who was talking to a subject outside of the car. The officers approached and asked the suspect outside of the vehicle who the car belonged to. The suspect replied that it was his sister’s car and suddenly took off running while holding on to his waistband. The officers gave chase and apprehended the suspect. A pat search revealed a handgun in his waistband. The loaded 9mm pistol was seized and the suspect was arrested. The officers found multiple rocks of crack cocaine as well as methamphetamine and a large amount of currency on the suspect’s person. The suspect, a convicted felon prohibited from possessing weapons, was booked on numerous weapons violations at Bayview Station. The subject in the driver’s seat of the vehicle was found to be in possession of a glass crack pipe. She was cited and released. (SFPD Case No. 150250078)

Robbery:

On March 21st at 2:00 pm, a 24 year old victim was robbed while riding a MUNI bus in the area of Cambridge and Silver. He told the responding officers that he had been seated on the bus with his backpack and cell phone in his lap. As the bus came to a stop, a suspect snatched the phone out of the victim’s hand and got off the coach. The victim ran after the suspect and upon confronting him, the suspect punched the victim in the face. A second suspect appeared, produced a stun gun and stunned the victim twice in the chest. Both suspects fled on foot north on Cambridge. The MUNI surveillance footage which may have captured the incident is pending. The officers searched the area for the suspect but were unable to locate them that day. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150250880)

Armed Robbery:

On March 21st at 7:45 pm, a 28 year old victim was robbed in the area of Bowdoin and Felton. She told the responding officers that she had been walking to her car when she heard footsteps behind her. She turned to see an armed suspect pointing a gun at her. The victim screamed and fell to her knees at which point the suspect grabbed her purse and yanked her coat off. The suspect patted the victim down for additional property then fled on foot. Officers searched the area for the suspect but were unable to locate him that day. This incident is under investigation. Firearm, Narcotics Arrest:

On March 21st at 11:00 pm, officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation at Cesar Chavez and 3rd. They contacted the driver and her passenger and immediately noticed an open container of tequila on the passenger side floorboard. When the driver reached into the glove box to remove her identification, several shotgun shells fell out. Both suspects were detained so that the vehicle could be searched for possible weapons. A pat search of the passenger revealed a loaded .45 caliber handgun concealed in his waistband. Both suspects were placed under arrest. A search of the driver revealed several plastic bags containing multiple rocks of crack cocaine on her person. Additional baggies of crack cocaine were located in the center console of the vehicle. Both suspects were booked on their respective narcotics and weapons charges at Bayview Station.   (SFPD Case No. 150252165)

Bayview Station holds community meetings with the Captain on the first Tuesday of each month.
