Narcotics Arrest:

On March 11th at 8:30 am, plainclothes officers conducting a narcotics abatement operation in the area of 3rd and LaSalle were conducting surveillance on the 4500 block of LaSalle when they witnessed a drug transaction. They observed the suspect, who had been loitering on the corner, notice a car that had slowed and stopped in the street. The driver of the car got out and approached the suspect. After a brief conversation the driver opened her purse and handed the suspect some money. The suspect then pulled her arms out of her sleeves into the torso portion of her jacket. When she put them back through the sleeves, she was holding an item in her hand. After handing the item to the driver, the driver then walked back to her car. Both parties were detained. The “buyer” was found to be in possession of a rock of crack cocaine. She was cited and released from the scene. The suspect was taken into custody. She was found to be in possession of a bag containing multiple rocks of crack cocaine concealed in her underclothes. She was booked at County Jail on narcotics sales charges. Narcotics, Parole Arrest:

On March 11th at 9:54 am, officers stopped a subject for a traffic violation in the area of 3rd and Palou. A record check revealed that the suspect was on active parole for burglary. The officers conducted a parole search of the suspect and located several containers of marijuana along with currency in denominations typically seen in narcotics sales. The suspect was booked on narcotics and traffic charges along with the parole violation. (SFPD Case No. 150217636)

Firearm, Narcotics Arrest:

On March 11th at 11:20 am, plainclothes officers conducting a narcotics abatement operation in the area of Newhall and Newcomb were conducting surveillance on the 1600 block of Newcomb when they witnessed a drug transaction. They had been watching the suspect, who they knew to be on active parole for narcotics and firearms, as he hung out with two other subjects. All of the subjects would often peer up and down the street as if attempting to detect law enforcement. The officers watched as a “buyer” approached the parolee and the two engaged in a conversation. The “buyer” handed some money to the suspect who then promptly walked over to a parked vehicle. The suspect entered the car and emerged from it moments later. He then walked back to the “buyer” and handed something to him. The “buyer” left and the officers detained both parties. The “buyer” was found to have a rock of crack cocaine in his possession, was cited and released from the scene. The suspect was arrested and his vehicle was searched. The officers found additional narcotics inside the car as well as a loaded 9mm pistol concealed in the driver’s door panel. The suspect was booked on weapons, narcotics, and parole violations at Bayview Station.  (SFPD Case No. 150217959)

Shooting:

On March 11th at 2:28 pm, officers responded to SFGH on a call of a walk in gunshot victim. The officers located the 24 year old male victim who was being treated for a gunshot wound to his knee. Through their interviews and investigation, the officers determined that the shooting possibly took place on the 1700 block of Revere at approximately 2:02 pm. This incident is under investigation. Armed Robbery:

On March 10th at 3:30 pm, a 33 year old victim was robbed while riding a MUNI bus in the area of Mansell and San Bruno. He reported the incident two days later at Bayview Station. The victim stated that he had been using his phone while seated on the bus when a suspect snatched the phone away from him and fled the coach as soon as it came to a stop. The victim chased the suspect, eventually catching up with him. The victim begged the suspect for the phone back, telling the suspect that he “depend(ed) on it for everything”. A second suspect suddenly approached the victim, produced a handgun which he showed to the victim and stated, “Yo, I depend on this!” Out of fear for his life, the victim backed off and both suspects fled on foot. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150221091)

Robbery Arrest:

On March 12th at 9:15 pm, officers were flagged down on the 300 block of Girard by a victim who reported that he had just been assaulted by three subjects. The victim stated that he was attacked from behind as he walked. One of the suspects struck him, causing him to fall to the ground. He got up and was punched by another of the suspects. The victim ran out into the middle of the street directly in front of a passing vehicle. The vehicle began honking at which point the suspects fled on foot. The victim described the suspects to the officers but wanted no further police action. The officers searched the area and came upon three suspects who matched the description provided at Goettingen and Silver. The three suspects were surrounding another victim and shaking him violently. When the suspects became alerted to the officers’ presence they attempted to walk away but were quickly detained. The officers confirmed with this second victim that he had in fact been robbed by the suspects of his cell phone, money, and Bluetooth device. He told the officers that he had been waiting at a bus stop when the trio approached him and one of them asked if he had any money. When the victim replied that he did not, one of the suspects punched him in the face and all three began rummaging through his pockets, removing his property. The three suspects, ages 16-17, were placed under arrest and the stolen items were found in their possession. They were booked at the Juvenile Justice Center on robbery and conspiracy charges. Robbery:

On March 12th at 10:00 pm, officers responded to the 900 block of Innes on a call of a robbery. They met with the 35 year old victim who stated that as he came out of his home and walked to his parked car, he was approached by two suspects who demanded his money. One of the suspects punched the victim several times and held him while the second suspect went through his pockets, removing his iPhone and money. The suspects then ordered the victim to go into his house and forced the victim to allow them entry. When the victim’s friend, who was inside the residence, confronted the suspects they took off running out the front door. Both suspects were seen getting into a waiting dark grey Chevy Impala that had been double parked at the end of the block. The suspects drove away from the scene. The officers searched the area for the suspects but were unable to locate them or the vehicle that night. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150223235)
