Auto Theft Arrest:

On March 4th at 8:45 am, officers responded to the 400 block of Tocaloma in search of a stolen vehicle that was being tracked via GPS by a Mission District unit. The officers found the stolen vehicle double parked with the engine running. They arrested the driver and his passenger. The vehicle had a shaved key in the ignition and a search of the driver revealed an additional shaved Range Rover key in his possession. The officers noticed a Range Rover parked several feet away and conducted a record check. The record check revealed that the Range Rover had been reported as stolen as well. The officers were able to contact the owners of both of the stolen cars who responded to the scene. Both subjects had items in their possession that belonged to each victim that had been removed from their respective vehicles. The driver, already on felony probation, was booked at on auto theft, possession of burglary tools, possession of stolen property and conspiracy charges. His passenger was booked on possession of stolen property and conspiracy charges at Bayview Station. (SFPD Case No. 150195402)



Aggravated Assault:

On March 4th at 6:40 pm, officers responded to the 800 block of Missouri on a call of shots fired in the area. They met with two witnesses who stated that they had been walking to their parked car when they noticed a group of subjects standing on the sidewalk. The subjects had their attention drawn to a vehicle that had slowly made a turn onto the street. Suddenly, the passenger of the vehicle leaned out his window with a handgun and began shooting at the group of subjects. The group scattered and the vehicle drove from the scene. The officers located a parked car that had been damaged by gunfire as well as multiple spent rounds in the street. They searched the area for possible victims but found none. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident. The officers’ investigation revealed security footage that captured footage of the suspect vehicle. The car was found later that day being driven in the Sunnydale Housing Development. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was detained. A record check revealed that he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest and he was taken into custody. A gunshot residue test was performed on the suspect to determine if he had recently fired a handgun prior to his being booked at Bayview Station. (SFPD Case No. 150197044)


Auto Theft Arrest:

On March 4th at 5:23 pm, officers patrolling in the area of the Potrero Hill Housing Development stopped a car for a traffic violation on the 700 block of Missouri. A record check revealed that the car had been reported as stolen. The driver was arrested without incident but lied about her identity to the officers. She was searched and an ID card with her true name was located in her pocket. The suspect was booked at Bayview Station on auto theft, possession of stolen property, as well as delaying an investigation charges. (SFPD Case No. 150197395)



On March 5th at 9:17 am, a 50 year old victim was running errands with her friend who tuned on the victim and robbed her. The victim told the responding officers that she and the suspect had gone to the bank on the 5000 block of 3rd where the victim withdrew some money. The victim put the money in her purse and the two continued to a nearby fruit stand. While fruit shopping, the suspect suddenly shoved the victim, causing her to fall to the ground, and made off with the victim’s purse. The victim provided the officers with identifying information for the suspect. The officers searched for her but were unable to locate her that day. An arrest warrant in this case is pending. Hot Prowl Burglary:

On March 5th at 2:30 pm, a resident of a home on the 1100 block of Palou came home and noticed that the front door of the residence had been breached. He entered the house and came upon a suspect walking down the staircase with a large bag. On seeing the victim, the suspect attempted to punch him but missed. The suspect then ran out of the home through the back door with the victim in pursuit. The suspect turned on the victim and simulated that he had a firearm, causing the victim to back off in fear. The victim returned to his ransacked home and found multiple items missing. The responding officers searched the area for the suspect but were unable to locate him that day. Crime Scene Investigations responded to the residence and processed it for any evidence that the suspect may have left behind. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150200368)


Burglary Arrest:

On March 5th at 4:00 pm, officers responded to a call of a burglary on the 1300 block of Underwood. They met with the victim who told them that she had returned to her residence to find a suspect, who she did not recognize, walking out of her apartment building’s security gate. The suspect walked away at which point the victim noticed that the security gate had been damaged. The responding officers searched the area and located the suspect nearby. She was positively identified by the victim. A search if the suspect’s bag revealed a crowbar and other burglary tools along with items that were determined to be stolen property in two other separate incidents. The suspect was arrested and booked at Bayview Station on burglary charges as well as for possession of stolen property and possession of burglary tools. (SFPD Case No. 150200330)


Possession of Burglary Tools Arrest:

On March 6th at 2:36 am, officers responded to the 1100 block of Palou on a call of a suspect casing vehicles. They located a subject, who matched the description provided, rummaging through the trunk of a parked car. The suspect had a hood covering his face and on seeing the officers, dropped a hammer that he had been holding into the trunk before attempting to walk away. He was detained. The suspect told the officers that the vehicle belonged to a friend of his, however when the officers located the register owner, she told them that she had never seen the suspect before in her life. She also told the officers that her trunk had been unlocked when she parked her car and that it did not appear damaged. The suspect was found to be in possession of multiple burglary tools on his person and was taken into custody. He was booked at Bayview Station for possession of burglary tools charges as well as an arrest warrant. (SFPD Case No. 150201902)

Bayview Station holds community meetings with the Captain on the first Tuesday of each month.  The next Community meeting will be on Tuesday, April 7th, at 6 PM
