Firearm Arrest:

On February 14th at 10:40 pm, officers patrolling in the area of Oakdale and Baldwin spotted several subjects walking behind the housing units on the 1000 block of Palou. The officers recognized the subjects as known “Oakdale Mob” gang members, one of whom was on active probation with a search condition. The probationer, on seeing the patrol car, immediately grabbed his waistband and began to run. The officers, believing that the suspect was in possession of a weapon, gave chase. As the suspect ran, he tripped and fell. As he got up, a handgun fell from his pants and landed on the concrete. The suspect continued to run and was eventually apprehended. The loaded .40 caliber handgun was recovered and seized. The suspect was booked at Bayview Station on weapons charges along with a gang enhancement. (SFPD Case No. 150138941)

Firearm Arrest:

On February 15th at 4:40 pm, officers patrolling in the area of Earl and Jerrold observed a subject standing near a unit on the 100 block of Albatross with a gold bag at his feet. The officers recognized the subject as a known “Big Block” gang member. As soon as the suspect saw the officers, he began to walk away. The officers made a U-turn and by the time they caught up with the subject, he no longer had the bag. The subject was visibly nervous when he was detained and denied knowledge of the bag. The officers searched the immediate area and located the abandoned bag nearby. Inside, they found a loaded .22 caliber revolver wrapped in a pair of pants. The suspect, a convicted felon prohibited from possessing any weapons, was placed under arrest and booked at Bayview Station on weapons charges.    (SFPD Case No. 150141035)

Recovered Firearm:

On February 16th at 12:45 pm, officers responded on a call of a found firearm on the Hunters Point Expressway near Candlestick Park. The officers met with the reporting party who showed them the .380 caliber pistol lying on the wet rocks after being exposed by the receding tide. The weapon appeared severely corroded. The officers seized the weapon and booked it at Bayview Station. (SFPD Case No. 150143360)

Robbery:

On February 16th at 7:40 pm, a 37 year old victim was robbed while on the MUNI train in the area of 3rd and Kirkwood. She told the responding officers that she was approached by two suspects while using her iPhone on the bus. One of the suspects grabbed the phone away from her and ran off the bus. The victim attempted to follow the suspect at which point the second suspect produced a stun gun and threatened the victim with it. The victim discontinued her pursuit and both suspects fled the scene. The officers searched the area for the suspects but were unable to locate them that night. The surveillance footage from the LRV that may have captured the crime is pending. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150144857)

Aggravated Assault:

On February 17th at 10:06 pm, officers responded to a call of an altercation at a home on the 200 block of Missouri. They met with the combatants, who were roommates. The officers were able to determine through their investigation that the two subjects had an argument that turned physical. One of the roommates punched the other several times and through him against the floor. The victim hit his head and lost consciousness. The officers arrested the suspect and booked him on aggravated assault charges at bay view Station. (SFPD Case No. 150148508)
