Robbery Attempt:

On February 5th at 7:40 pm, a 54 year old victim was walking in the area of Barneveld and Jerrold when a suspect approached her and yanked at her backpack. The victim fell to the ground, still retaining her bag, at which point the suspect fled the scene without taking anything from the victim. The victim reported the incident the following day at Bayview Station. (SFPD Case No. 150114509)




On February 5th at 8:00 pm, two victims, ages 18 and 26, were robbed while aboard a MUNI bus in the area of San Bruno and Felton. They told the responding officers that they were riding the bus when two suspects (fellow passengers) approached them. One of the suspects kicked one of the victims in the face as his companion removed the victim’s sweatshirt. The second victim attempted to help his friend by pulling the suspect off of him but was punched by the second suspect, who then stole his hat. Both suspects then got off the bus and fled on foot. The officers searched the area for the suspects but were unable to locate them that night. The video surveillance footage from the MUNI coach which may have captured the crime is pending. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150112503)



Auto Burglary Arrest:

On February 8th at 10:00 am, officers patrolling in the area of Newcomb and Lane came upon a suspect rummaging through a parked vehicle. The suspect was seen throwing items of clothing out of the car and onto the sidewalk. As the officers approached, they noticed that the rear window of the vehicle had been smashed. When the suspect looked up and saw the officers, he immediately became startled and told them that the vehicle was abandoned and he was just “going through it”. The officers were able to locate the registered owner of the car who responded to the scene. He confirmed that his car had been boosted. The suspect was found to be in possession of items stolen from inside the vehicle. He was placed under arrest and was booked at Bayview Station on auto burglary and possession of stolen property charges. (SFPD Case No. 150119101)



Recovered Firearm:

On February 8th at 12:30 pm, officers responded to the area of 23rd and Illinois on a tip that there was a firearm in the area. The officers conducted a search and located an AR-15, loaded with a 100 round drum magazine. The serial number had been obliterated on the weapon. The gun was seized and booked at Bayview Station. Robbery Arrest:

On February 10th at 1:20 pm, officers responded to call of an assault that occurred on the 800 block of Innes. They met with the 23 year old victim who told them that she was beaten and robbed by two friends. She explained that she met up with the two suspects at her home. One of the suspects asked to borrow the victim’s phone. When the victim asked for her phone back, the suspect refused. Both suspects then told the victim that they were going to “teach her a lesson” for some perceived slight against another friend. The suspects walked the victim out of the house while holding a sharp object to her side. They took her to the dead end of Arelius Walker where they proceeded to punch her about the head and face multiple times. The suspects then walked the victim back home and warned her not to call the police. They then left the residence. The officers searched the area for the suspects and located them nearby. Both suspects were positively identified and arrested. The victim’s stolen cell phone was found in the possession of one of the suspects. Both suspects were booked at Bayview Station on robbery, kidnapping and conspiracy charges. (SFPD Case No. 150125807)




Recovered Firearm:

On February 10th at 10:00 am, officers searched a utility box on the 1100 block of Oakdale after receiving a tip that a weapon was being stored there. The officers located a loaded 9mm handgun as well as a bag of ammunition inside the box. The weapon was seized and booked at Bayview Station. (SFPD Case No. 150125001)




Shots Fired:

On February 11th at 2:00 am, officers responded to a call of a bullet hitting a building on the 700 block of Pennsylvania. They met with the resident who stated that he had heard gunshots coming from the Potrero Hill Housing Development an hour earlier followed by a loud noise near his residence. He investigated the noise and found that a bullet had hit some glass windows on the Missouri St. side of his building. The officers collected and booked all evidence. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident. (SFPD Case No. 150127314)
