Armed Robbery, Firearm Arrest:

On February 2nd at 10:17 pm, a 52 year old victim was robbed at Revere and Industrial. He told the responding officers that he had been retrieving an item out of his parked vehicle when he observed a vehicle pull up alongside him. Two suspects got out of the car and approached the victim. One of the suspects pointed a handgun at the victim as the other went through the victim’s pockets, removing his wallet. The suspects then got back into their vehicle and fled the scene.

A short while later, officers spotted the suspect vehicle in the area of 10th and Division and attempted to stop it. The driver took off at a high rate of speed and threw the victim’s wallet out of the window while fleeing. On February 3rd, officers located the vehicle parked in front of a residence on the 2200 block of 25th St. The officers set up surveillance in the area and watched as one of the suspects exited the residence and approached got into the vehicle. He was immediately detained and later positively identified by the victim as one of the robbers. Numerous items of stolen property, including the victim’s credit cards, were located inside the suspect’s vehicle.

The officers’ investigation revealed that the suspect had a home address on the 100 block of Margaret St. in the Taraval district. They obtained a search warrant for his home and conducted the search on February 4th. The search revealed multiple iPhones, iPads, laptops and other electronics that were believed to be stolen property along with a loaded .40 caliber handgun. The suspect, a convicted felon prohibited from possessing weapons, was booked on armed robbery, possession of stolen property, and weapons violation charges. The investigation into the identity of his accomplice is ongoing. (SFPD Case No. 150102366)

Robbery:

On February 3rd at 12:20 pm, a 26 year old victim was robbed in the area of Wheeler and Blanken. She told the responding officers that she was walking home with her infant strapped to her chest in a carrier. A suspect approached the victim and forcefully snatched the cell phone that the victim had been holding in her hand. The victim attempted to hold onto her phone at which point the suspect shoved her to the ground and made off with the phone. The officers searched the area for the suspect but were unable to locate him that day. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150103994)

Armed Robbery:

On February 4th at 9:50 am, a 26 year old victim was walking in the area of Connecticut and 22nd when he was approached by two suspects. One of the suspects snatched the victim’s cell phone from his hand as the other suspect demanded the victim’s property, advising the victim that he was armed. Though the gun was not seen, the victim relinquished his backpack to the suspect out of fear for his life. Both suspects fled on foot. The officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspects that day. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150106954)

Auto Theft Arrest:

On February 4th at 2:50 pm, officers patrolling in the area of Harbor and Northridge conducted a record check of the vehicle driving ahead of them and learned that the car had been reported as stolen. The driver, after noticing the radio car following him, quickly pulled over on the unit block of Northridge. He quickly got out of the vehicle, threw the keys to the ground, and attempted to get away. He was apprehended and arrested. The suspect, already on felony probation for burglary, was booked on auto theft charges at Bayview Station. (SFPD Case No. 150108148)

Firearm Arrest:

On February 4th at 3:15 pm, officers patrolling in the area of Underwood and Lane saw a suspect that they recognized in the back seat of a vehicle driving by. They recognized the suspect as a “Big Block” gang member who was on active probation for aggravated assault with a search condition. The officers stopped the car to conduct a probation search of the suspect. They located a loaded 22 caliber pistol hidden under a sweatshirt directly under where the suspect was seated. He was placed under arrest. The other occupants of the vehicle were identified, investigated, and released from the scene. The suspect was booked at Bayview Station on weapons charges along with a gang enhancement. (SFPD Case No. 150108176)

Firearm Arrest:

On February 4th at 7:15 pm, officers patrolling in the area of 17th and Vermont stopped a car for a traffic violation. The approached the vehicle and noticed a heavy odor of burnt marijuana emanating from the car. They detained all five occupants and searched the vehicle for the narcotics. During the search, the officers located a loaded .45 caliber handgun under the rear seat cushion. They seized the handgun, which was determined as having been reported as stolen, and placed the suspect who had been sitting in that seat under arrest. He was booked on weapons charges as well as possession of stolen property. The driver was cited for the vehicle code violation and the other occupants were identified, investigated, and released. Homicide:

On February 4th at 10:06 pm, officers responded to a call of Gunfire in the area of Quint and Oakdale. They located a 37 year old male victim, who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds, lying in the street. The victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene by medics. The officers secured the crime scene and preserved all evidence and witness statements. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150109641)
