Narcotics Arrest:

On January 29th at 9:20 am, plainclothes officers were conducting narcotics surveillance at 3rd and LaSalle, an area rampant in quality of life, narcotics, and other criminal activity. The officers watched a suspect hanging out on the corner who was approached by another subject who had driven up in a van. The two were seen engaging in a brief conversation that culminated in the driver of the van handing the suspect some money. In response, the suspect removed an item from his waistband and handed it to the van driver who then got back into his vehicle and drove away. The suspect was then approached by another subject who also handed the suspect some money. The suspect again reached into his waistband, removed an item, and handed it to the subject. The officers, believing that they had just witnessed the suspect involved in two narcotics transactions, detained both the seller and buyer. The drugs (crack cocaine) were recovered and both were arrested. The buyer was cited and released from the scene. The suspect who sold the narcotics was booked at Bayview Station on narcotic sales violations. (SFPD Case No. 150065162)
