Armed Robbery:

On January 20th at 7:00 pm, a 42 year old victim was robbed on the 1500 block of McKinnon. She reported the incident an hour later at Ingleside Station. The victim told the officer that as she walked to her car, she was approached by a suspect brandishing a handgun. The suspect ordered the victim to give up her purse at which point she pleaded with him to not hurt her. The suspect responded by striking her on the head with the butt of the gun before taking her purse and running to a waiting vehicle. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150061734)

Firearm Arrest:

On January 20th at 11:30 pm, officers responded to a call of shots fired all on the 200 block of Topeka. They located a home that had been hit by gunfire as well as another home similarly damaged nearby on the unit block of Apollo. There were no injuries as a result of the gunfire. The officers were able to obtain witness statements that identified the shooter as well as his vehicle. The suspect was later spotted driving in the area of 3rd and Palou. He was stopped and positively identified. A loaded .40 caliber handgun was located on the floorboard of the back seat. The suspect, a parolee prohibited from possessing any weapons, was booked at Bayview station on numerous charges including shooting into an inhabited building and firearm possession by a prohibited person. Robbery:

On January 21st at 6:00 pm, a 61 year old victim was robbed at Bacon and San Bruno while boarding a MUNI coach. She told the responding officers that she had just boarded the bus and was in the process of scanning her clipper card when a suspect reached in through the door from outside and grabbed her purse. The victim fell off the bus and onto the sidewalk as the suspect dragged her until the bag came off. He then fled on foot. The officers searched the area for the suspect but were unable to locate him that evening. The MUNI surveillance footage, which may have captured the crime as it occurred, is pending. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150064813)

Hot Prowl Burglary Arrests:

On January 22nd at 5:00 am, a resident of a building on the 4100 block of 3rd woke up to find that the building had been burglarized. Multiple items, such as kitchen appliances, a gaming system, and a bike had been stolen from the common areas of the building. The responding officers reviewed surveillance footage from the security cameras in the vicinity which captured the suspects entering the building at 4:23 am and leaving shortly after. The vehicle that they used was also captured on film. The vehicle was later located being driven in the area of Shafter and Hawes. Both suspects were on board and were arrested. The stolen property was found in the back seat of the vehicle along with some heroin, needles, and an opium pipe. One of the suspects was on current probation for burglary. Both suspects were booked at Bayview Station on multiple charges including burglary, possession of stolen property, conspiracy, and narcotics violations. (SFPD Case No. 150066013)

Robbery:

On January 22nd at 7:35 am, a 35 year old victim was robbed at Palou and Phelps. The victim flagged down an officer several minutes after the attack. She told him that she had been walking in the area with her 3 year old son in her arms when a suspect approached her and grabbed the purse that she had slung over her shoulder. The suspect made a motion threatening to punch the victim at which point she surrendered the bag out of fear for her safety as well as that of her child. The suspect fled on foot. The officer searched the area for the suspect but was unable to locate him that day. This incident is under investigation.  (SFPD Case No. 150066007)

Bayview Station holds community meetings with the Captain on the first Tuesday of each month.  The next Community meeting will be on Tuesday, February 3rd, at 6 PM              Bayview Station Community Room  201 Williams Ave. (Cross Street Newhall)
