Shooting:

On January 7th at 2:34 pm, officers responded to the 4800 block of 3rd St on a call of a shooting. They located a 45 year old female victim with a gunshot wound to the arm. She told the officers that she had been crossing the street when she was struck by the bullet from an unknown direction. The victim was transported to SFGH where she was treated for her injury. The officers secured the crime scene and preserved all evidence as well as witness statements. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150020019)

Hot Prowl Burglary:

On January 7th at 7:30 pm, officers responded to the 100 block of Cambridge on a call of a burglary. They met with one of the residents of the home. He told them that as he returned to his house he observed two suspects exiting out of his front door. When the suspects saw the resident approaching, they ran off on foot. The resident ran into his home and found that his roommate, who had been inside of a bedroom, had not been aware that their house had been burglarized. The officers noticed that the lock on the front door had been forced open and was damaged. They also located a witness who was able to provide some information regarding a vehicle that may have been used as the getaway vehicle. The officers searched the area for the suspects and vehicle but were unable to locate either that night. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150020940)

Robbery:

On January 8th at 6:35 pm, a 49 year old victim was robbed on the 300 block of Texas. He told the responding officers that he had been taking photographs in the area when a suspect approached him and asked for directions. As the victim responded to the suspect, a second suspect approached the victim from behind and wrapped his arm around his neck. The first suspect then grabbed the victim’s camera. The victim resisted at which point one of the suspects struck him in the face as the second suspect punched him on the back of the head. The suspects were able to remove the victim’s camera and fled on foot south on Texas. The officers searched the area for the suspect but were unable to locate them that evening. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 1500242209)
