Home Invasion Robbery Arrest:

On December 31st at 10:15 pm, a 64 year old victim was robbed at his home on the unit block of Whitfield. The victim told the responding officers that he had been standing on his front porch when the suspect approached him and demanded money. The victim knew the suspect from the area and told the officers that the suspect had a female subject with him that the victim did not know. The suspect attacked the victim, punching him in the face several times, causing him to fall back into his apartment. As the suspect beat the victim, his female companion went through the home and stole the victim’s money and cell phone. Both suspect fled on foot.

Officers located the suspect at Newcomb and Newhall on January 1st at 12:17 pm. He was positively identified and placed under arrest. A search of his person revealed cocaine and heroin. He was booked at Bayview Station on robbery, burglary, aggravated assault, and narcotics charges. The investigation into the identity of the suspect’s accomplice is ongoing. Shots Fired:

On December 31st at 6:00 pm, officers responded to a call of shots fired in the area of Mendell and LaSalle. They located an unoccupied van, damaged by gunfire, on the 1000 block of Mendell. They searched the area for possible victims and/or additional damage but were unable to locate any that evening. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 141101187)


Shooting, Firearm Arrest:

On December 31st at 6:00 pm, officers patrolling in the area of Phelps and Jerrold were hailed by the occupants of a car driving by, who advised the officers that they had just witnessed a shooting. The pair told the officers that they had seen an occupant of a red Chevy Camero shoot multiple rounds from the car in the area of Jerrold and 3rd. It was later determined that a home on the 1500 block of Jerrold had been hit by the gunfire, the bullet narrowly missing the occupant inside before lodging into a wall.

As the officers spoke to the witnesses, a red Camero drove by. The officer pointed at the car and was advised by the whiteness’s that it was the same vehicle involved in the shooting. The officers gave chase and the driver of the red Camero took off at a high rate of speed. The pursuit was terminated at Toland and Jerrold where the suspect collided with two other vehicles. As soon as the officers pulled up, the suspect took off running. The officers apprehended the suspect after a short chase. Two other suspects were seen getting out of the vehicle at the crash scene by witnesses. The officers searched the area but were unable to locate them that evening. A loaded 9mm handgun was located near the red Camero at the site of the crash. This weapon was seized by the officers. Crime scene investigations responded to conduct an evidentiary investigation. The suspect was tested for gunshot residue at Bayview Station before being booked on multiple charges including weapons violations, shooting into an inhabited dwelling, conspiracy, and evading charges. Firearm Arrest:

On January 3rd at 1:55 pm, officers responded to a call of a victim being threatened with a handgun. They met with the victim who told the officers that the suspect, who the victim knew, had pointed a handgun at him on the 900 block of Key St after the two had argued over an ex-girlfriend. The victim provided the officers with the suspect’s identifying information and home address. The officers responded to the suspect’s home on the 800 block of Colby along with the victim. The suspect and his car were both at the location and the suspect was positively identified. He was placed under arrest. A search of the suspect’s vehicle revealed a loaded .25 caliber handgun underneath the driver’s floor mat. The weapon was seized and booked at Bayview Station. (SFPD Case No. 150007368)


Attempted Robbery:

On January 3rd at 10:50 pm, a 30 year old victim was walking in the area of 20th and Tennessee when he was approached from behind by two suspects. The suspects ordered the victim to give up his belongings. The victim refused at which point one of the suspects held the victim while the other struck him in the face. Both suspects fled on foot without having taking anything from the victim. The officers searched the area for the suspects but were unable to locate them that night. This incident is under investigation. (SFPD Case No. 150008764)



Narcotics Arrest:

On January 4th at 11:00 pm, officers responded to a gas station at San Bruno and Silver on a complaint of the attendant selling drugs out of his personal vehicle. The officers were familiar with the suspect from previous contacts and knew that he was on current probation with a search condition. They located the suspect at work and advised him that they would be conducting a probation search of his person and vehicle. The officers found the suspect to be in possession of 20 Alprazolam (Benzodiazapine, a schedule IV controlled substance) without a prescription. In the suspect’s car the officers located seven individually packaged baggies of marijuana and a digital scale. They extended the probation search to the suspect’s home on the 1800 block of Felton. They found an additional 1300 grams of marijuana as well as a box of ammunition that the suspect, as a convicted felon, was prohibited from possessing. The suspect was booked at Bayview Station on multiple narcotics and probation violation charges. (SFPD Case No. 150011290)
